I honestly don't know what to say.... but thanks for the comment!
That was very informative. And, a great idea. There have been times I wished I had a shorter extension cord. Luckily, I now know someone who can make me one. 😉 Thank you for the demonstration.
You're very welcome! I'm glad you know a guy who knows a guy!
Nice video. I would add a note about ratings and making sure that you have components that are compatible with the type of load you are planning on running.
Great tip! Thanks for the comment.
Having a 4 foot extension cord comes n soooo handy sometimes.
Yes it does!
Awesome Video 👍.. Thank You 😊
You're welcome! Thanks for the comment.
what i wanted to make was one that was for 220 volts and 15 amps but the length would be 300 feet to 500 feet i understand that the longer the cord that there could be some voltage drops so i am thing this that using a 4/0 (0000) gauge wire for a 300 or 500 feet run would be more than sufficient for a circuit that requires 220 volts and 15 amps. The 4/0 gauge wire is very thick and can handle high current loads over long distances with minimal voltage drop. It's often used for industrial applications or services where large amounts of current are needed. and i know When selecting the wire, i need to make sure it's rated for the correct voltage and amperage, and that it meets any other requirements specific to my application, such as insulation type or temperature rating. and this would be a out door cord as well
You will definitely have a very minimal voltage drop with that size cable. It will also be very expensive. Thanks for the comment.
What Size 12 Volt Pure Sine Inverter would you Suggest to Run a Microwave Oven by Solar .. Thank You for your Help and Knowledge 🙂
It really depends on the wattage of the microwave. An 1100w microwave uses about 1600w of total power. I just did a video on this that will be coming out in a couple days. Hope this is helpful!
I save all my power cords from old desktop computers. I’ll splice into extension cords that have been damaged or vacuums. Sometimes the cords get damaged from being in a weird position while they’re plugged into the outlet
That is a good idea. I have more than enough desktop computer power cords. Thanks!
What r the specifications of that wire?
I used 16\3 but these plugs are designed to support up to 12\3.
