  • This is part1 of my white belt journey in bjj.
There's no technique to be shown or physical advice here. I'm not an athlete, but if those who never tried bjj before and wonder what it may feel like being a small white belt then this might be for you. Or if you're here just to listen to some old white belt stories that you may relate to, then you're more than welcome too.
If you've watched my last video I went over my first introduction to martial arts through kung fu, and boxing. We continue on now in my early 20s with my white belt phase, it may had been my most important years. Before this I never really participated in a heavy contact sport. (rugby maybe?)
I cover some struggles of dealing with being smashed and self doubt. What it feels like to finally understand a move and pull it off in a live roll, and feeling accepted being a part of something bigger than myself.
This video had been cut in half, as the next one I will go over my competition years as a white belt. Enjoy.
