    - A beginner's journey - hey. If I can do this, you can too.
Two weeks have gone by fast: 3 hrs a day, six days a week. - training only once a day for me, I'm actually on Holiday.
Right foot still not 100%, sparred 5x since I've been here. That's the most I've ever done.
I decided not to use commentary here, the audio isn't too bad so you can hear what Kru Manop is saying to me. A lot of the technique you can see he demonstrates quite well. Mainly the basics, but it's the details he really picks up on. The small gym environment with a great trainer is pretty much having your own Private Muay Thai seminar every day.
I know there's not much power on those kicks I'm throwing, but with an injured foot I got to work with what I got. No Problem. The art of 8 limbs, I'll just use 7 and a half then. Focus on the technique, don't compensate with power. As far as the technique goes, I've still got a long way, but now I've got a good foundation to work with.
Something to keep in mind, just because I was shown a certain way of muay thai techniques here; does not necessary mean it's the only way. Some will say turn the hips more, or bend the leg. etc etc.
There is no one way is correct. Take what you learn, and if it works for you keep it, if it doesn't then discard it. Whether or not I continue on with Muay Thai I'm not too concerned. I've gotten more than I could hope for coming here. Also, these are basic foundation moves, but what better way to build your foundation on than getting taught by a master, Kru Manop.

      Olá Brother,
Thank you for your wonderful comments. I was very much a novice when I came here to this gym (2yrs ago wow!). Kru Manop is one of the most hospitable person I've meet in Thailand, and I appreciated all his knowledge and patients that he's shared with us forangs. He truly does live for Muay thai. I wish more people could train here too!
All the best on your martial arts journey as well. I one day too hope to go to Brazil to do some brazilan Jiu jitsu. Vamos La! and my favourite word in the gym. PORRA! lol.
but thank you for leaving this comment. Martial arts brings people together.
peace be with you brother 🙏
