That was simply the most clear cut easy to understand, good video , explanation car video I’ve seen for this problem . I hate hearing them talk for 30 minutes to do a simple job
Been stalling on replacing this part. (No pun intended) 😆 and went down there today and it was in the same spot for my 2001 1.8 took maybe 30 mins. Thanks 💯
Thanks for the video. You saved me money. Was about to pay $210 for part and labor. Only spent $65 for the sensor. You got a video regarding the starter.
your welcome I had to go through the same thing so I just repaired it myself and said I should make a video and help out the people that can not afford to get it fix and teach them how to do it
Thanks for uploading the video. Every other one I've watched about this either just talks about it the whole time or they're actually just replacing the cam sensor thinking it is the crank position sensor
Alfred. Thank you for your video! Your video, as well as a video from @Victor Kalchev gave me a good ideal of how to change the crank shaft sensor on my 2006 Nissan Sentra. The hardest thing for me was taking the sensor out! My neighbor helped me out with that as he was able to somehow get it out. It was a good learning experience! Thanks again!
your welcome I hate when I tried to look it up myself and no one can show you a clear video on how to fix it so I looked it up and said im gonna make a clear video that way everyone understands it
This helped very much . Detailed explanation , no problem . Saved myself some money on having someone doing it for me like you mentioned . Thanks for the video .
Ayy bra you had the best and most helpful video I came across. I'm definitely a beginner when it comes to working on cars besides the basic stuff like changing oil or tires and small scale. So I'm basically trying to say please keep making videos.
Hey compa. Gracias compa .
I really appreciate the video man. On the first attempt I made the mistake of tightening the bolt first which put cross stress on the brace, and it snapped. I guess I'll have to tap it in with a hammer before I tighten the bolt next time. That o-ring is a real pain to get in the socket.
helpful video Im still in the process of trying to find the sensor , Im not very mechanical,. I wish i knew wether you were on the passenger side or the drivers side
After having a hell of a time getting my upstream O2 sensor out that was completely burnt, it didn't fix my 2005 Nissan Sentra 1.8 liter. But of course it did pull the code finally for the crankshaft position sensor. It's lame that they recalled them on the 2.5 liter but not my 1.8 liter when many of them fail and sometimes don't trigger a code. I broke down unexpectedly on a rural hwy. I got lucky but others may not. Nissan should have handled it correctly.
This is what I needed. My 05 sentra dies on drive, stalls going up the hill. Loss of power on a stop light. Run the computer reader. Pop a code crank shaft sensor A.
Great video, would love to see more on this car. Mine is having stating issues, and this was one of the solutions suggested. That, and also read the fuel line tends to un prime itself everytime its off.
I got mine loosened easily but when ai pulled it out it hit a bracket or bolt. So what you do is pry up on it until it clears the bracket. Not too hard because it might break off in the hole. The New one will just pop in easily and won't need pryed. Also when you put the new one in, use your right hand to put it in. Can't do it with the left hand because of angle, just turn it clockwise and counter clockwise a few time while pushing. Easy!
I need to change one out on my 2009 Sentra. Do you happen to know if it’s in the same general location? I can’t find a diagram or video for that specific year and like you said, engines can differ from year to year. Thank you for any help.
Is this your car? If so have you drove it quite abit since doing this work, did it fix issue? I just bought a 2006 nissan sentra and it takes a few tries to start the engine most of the time. Im thinking about replacing the crankshaft sensor, camshaft sensor, and fuel pump.
"You didn't have to pay a high ass mechanic for this" well I'd definitely would want my mechanic sober for the job hahahaha also thanks for the video gonna do this soon toy relatives car.
got it out but coiuld not get it passed the frame and that bolt even after i tooked the bolt out i could not get it pass the frame that the bolt goes in
They look identical and are sometimes even the same part number, depending on manufacturer - so yes, it is confusing - and likely you didn't make a mistake. The OEM is Hitachi.
Nice I like it Have a Question it’s? 2 Crank Sensor ? I have Nissan Sentra 2005 i change bout sensors like four months ago and I’m got the same problem again any sugestión?? Thanks
Yes, 06 Sentra has both sensors, camshaft and crankshaft. They are in fact the same part. This video covers the crankshaft sensor, which is more difficult to replace due to the location of it being under the vehicle. Issue I'm having is light for camshaft sensor code comes on, but when I replace with a new sensor my car won't start at all. So I just put my old one back in after cleaning it up, but still didn't really fix the problem.
Ok so what happens when you need to actually drive the car vehicle changing the sensor doesn't do a damn thing it needs to be relearned to the computer so how does one do that now it doesn't crank because we removed the the sensor ???...
I cannot for the life of me get the old sensor to come out. Anybody have any tips and tricks on how to maneuver it out? I’ve had wire and everything on this thing.

im glad I can be of help I was lagging on it myself but it was shutting off so much that I said ok its time to fix it 🤣
Thanks for the video. You saved me money. Was about to pay $210 for part and labor. Only spent $65 for the sensor. You got a video regarding the starter.

Thanks for uploading the video. Every other one I've watched about this either just talks about it the whole time or they're actually just replacing the cam sensor thinking it is the crank position sensor

Is your car still holding up after putting in the new Duralast crank shaft sensor?
Great video.
If you happen to know, can you tell me the part number of the duralast part you used? I just want to make sure I ordered the correct one.
My car won't turn over it's a 2006 Nissan Sentra 1.8L . Should I check the starter first or crankshaft first??
Where did you buy the oem crankshaft sensor sir???
Good Looking Homie ✌️👍

ned williams some of them get stuck its just how you can maneuver around thats tricky
Hey quick q. Did you need to drain the oil before switching out the crankshaft pos sensor?
hello123456 not to my knowledge
Alfred thank you
What is the OEM part number for the crankshaft?
That i can not remember
My Sister in Law Just Spent $800 to Have Hers Crankshaft Sensor on Her 2006 Sentra!!
No way wow thats a burn
Was there a motor mount in the way of yours?
Christo Vas i cant remember
I replaced this as I was having the same error code, replaced it, now the car won’t even start. ???
I got a question, I have an 05 Sentra and there's an exact same part that goes on top of the engine, did I put it in the wrong pkace
stephan arena the one you replaced is the cam shaft position sensor.
I believe the Camshaft Position Sensor & the Crankshaft Position Sensors look, and may be, identical.
They look identical and are sometimes even the same part number, depending on manufacturer - so yes, it is confusing - and likely you didn't make a mistake. The OEM is Hitachi.
Is the cam and crank sensor the same thing or two different things
2 different ones I know they almost sound the same
Nice I like it Have a Question it’s? 2 Crank Sensor ? I have Nissan Sentra 2005 i change bout sensors like four months ago and I’m got the same problem again any sugestión?? Thanks
Have you hooked up the scanner to see what sensor it is because i replace the cam shaft sensor as well its so easy to replace i did both

There's a camshaft and crankshaft on a 2006 Nissan Sentra? Just asking cause I replaced a camshaft and my car still isn't running.

@@MistaTofMaine thank you sir.
MistaTofMaine I change both sensors like 5-4 Months fix the problem now I got same problem!! What? Do you do too fix it?
What symptoms you had in order to replace it?
The car was shutting off even when I would drive sometimes
Mine actually jerks when I accelerate at the beginning. And it feels like it wants to shut off. Maybe that's what I need to do. Thanks brotha 🤘🏼
@@jessietheaztec mine had that too after I did that I didn’t get no issues after that is check engine light on
Yea light is on
Why did u had to change it what problems was going on before u replaced it
larry smith it was shutting off on me
@@ESEVICIOUS4LIFE did it fix the problem of shutting off when yoi replaced it?
@@ESEVICIOUS4LIFE did it still shut off on you or no ?

Ok so what happens when you need to actually drive the car vehicle changing the sensor doesn't do a damn thing it needs to be relearned to the computer so how does one do that now it doesn't crank because we removed the the sensor ???...
Is this the same for a 2005?
Its a 2006 i am not sure if it is
Yes it is
Dude this is a nightmare! There is no space down there, the sensor is stock in there and there is no leverage to pull it out. How you do it???
Casa Tequila SF with the flat head screw driver stick it in in different lil spots and twist it
I cannot for the life of me get the old sensor to come out. Anybody have any tips and tricks on how to maneuver it out? I’ve had wire and everything on this thing.
You may want to go with a shorter flathead screwdriver so you can get under the edge of it and start working it out by twisting the screwdriver.
It still looks hard for me.
Send me the link to the song bro
Miguel Garcia thanks my boi that song is a single that i released myself here is the link ruclips.net/video/PWfvUIZ4c-M/видео.html you can find it in ever digital platforms
