Very straight forward and concise, no BS. I got a quote from a local auto shop and they wanted 300 for parts and labor. Ordered the assembly and will put it in when I get it. Thanks very much man.
@@JM-AUTO Got the part in. Pretty simple especially because of your thorough walkthrough. Just wanted to let ya know you got a more than satisfied viewer. Again, thank you very much amigo.
that job takes about 30 minutes to get it done, for me that is too much money, by doing it your selt you will save big $$$. thanks for your time on my channel.
Just finished, it went smooth, thanks again! The only thing you didn’t cover in the video was removing the orange clip from the fuel line. It was easy but just a little nerve racking thinking I could break it, but I was careful and it didn’t break. 👍 I guess that’s the world of auto repair. 🙂 Thanks, again, man!
Good video. I could see how you disconnected the cables and then put in the new fuel pump. It looked very easy. I think I could do that myself. Thank you for the great video. Peter.
Thank you for the video I’m a DIY guy I’m not too mechanically inclined so initially I called up a local shop to get a quote on replacement he said it takes time it’s gonna cost you about hour and a half labour. That would equate to approximately $250 I live in Canada . After watching this not including prep time I did it in the same amount of time as this fellow did. Oh right foot note my local auto parts store the big one here in British Columbia is called Lordco they wanted almost $600 for a fuel pump I bought one I kid you not on Amazon for $92 works like a hot dam thanks for the video save myself lots of money
Great video. Recently my b15 has been leaking fuel from the top of the tank. Today a routine shop I go to showed me my leak is from that top fuel pump assembly but the screws are seized into the tank. They suggest I replace the tank and assembly completely. I am not totally convinced. Want to try to soak the bolts in WD-40 to see if I can unbolt it. Any suggestions ? Also which file pump assembly did you use? I cannot find an oem one
soaking them with WD-40 over night would be the best method n hope it works, the owner of the vehicle bought the pump online so I did not get to see any info, sorry for the inconvenient.
@@JM-AUTO thanks very much. It’s very cold this week so I will wait to spray the wd40 on there next week and let it soak. Hopefully it will work. Did that o ring you put back look rusted on this one you changed? I hope I can get it out cause if not I have to buy a new fuel tank entirely
Hey this was great and quite easy. I'm still smelling fuel though a week later. Watched this again and everything looks correct. Any ideas if I have a leak or something or if a little fuel would linger? Thanks
now if you spilled even a bit around there, that might be the cause, if not then it should not smell at this point any more if every thing is fine, thanks for the question and visiting this channel.
Thanks for taking the time to show us how to do this, but do you have to pull the fuse and take off the negative cable first before attempting to remove the fuel pump?
I’ve replaced a couple of nissan fuel pumps and I usually take the fuel fuse out and run the car until it stalls then disconnect the battery. Its not necessarily required but it does reduce the amount of gasoline you spill since their wont be much in any in the fuel lines.
My factory connector harness only has 4 point pins for the fuel pump assembly whilst the new pump assembly that i ordered comes with a 5 point connector...will this still work on my car?
My mini cooper full pump had to be twisted down, and the was aggravating, but after watching this, I can do it myself. Is there any more full filters that need to be changed as well
Can anyone help me out idk if it’s my fuel pump. I have a 2006 Nissan Sentra I have changed just about the battery, starter, and spark plugs… I am ordering the fuel pump as we speak. My car cranks sounds like ch..ch.ch.. in the morning and starts up right away, however fails sometimes after driving my car and letting it sit for not even more than 10 mins. My car is salvaged with 82k miles with no check engine Does anyone know the issue PLEASE 🙏🏼😔
best thing to do in these cases is to get live data on the scanner when the car is not starting and most likely you are going to see what component is failing or preventing the engine from stating, if you don't have check engine light then most likely is going to be fuel pump problem but you also can tap on the fuel pump not too hard when the car is not starting n see if it starts.
iis are injectors getting fuel? you might have problem in the wires n not the pump, did you prime the pump at the biginning after installation? was the real problem the pump? a deffective pump.
I@@JM-AUTO I replaced mine. Luckily it started right up. I'm wondering if maybe his fuse is out or something wrong with the wiring. Or bad fuel pump sold to him
