This is actually the camshaft position sensor and the cranksaft is on the back side of the motor near the starter.
@Jensen Travis Yea, have been using Flixzone} for years myself :)
@Jensen Travis definitely, I have been watching on flixzone} for months myself :D
Yeah. No shit.
I just bougth a car OBD2 scanner tool and it says that i have a fault for crankshaft position sensor (cks). I came to this video looking for the removing process but now i can tell that i will fix it my self. Thanks to you man, keep doing videos in the sentra, like and sub
Thanks I will be doing another sensor replacement video I will be changing both of them out in pairs which I recommend and I will also be doing a oil change video soon and also a brake and rotor replacement video also possibly a front strut replacement video I think I need them thank you for all the love everybody have a blessed day
hey man, did you scan your car while running? it doesn't show anything on ours but we suspect is the camshaft sensor
This very sensor put me out on the side of the road today after normal driving for miles. Thank the Lord 1a auto supplied some with an extra one made of metal not cheap plastic!
Thank you for the knowledge when I replace both the sensors again for the video I may try to find a upgraded version like you did you did thank you again for the comment
Other wise really good video brother!
"Thank You"
You are a GOD send
You're welcome thank you and I'm glad it was able to help you don't forget to subscribe
Exactly the video is labeled correctly but he calls it the crankshaft sensor the entire time and even says you should change the camshaft sensor at the same time! Also called it a 1.4 liter engine at one point.
Thank you for noticing this video was one of my earlier videos and I was mistaken and calling it a crank shaft sensor instead of a camshaft sensor. I appreciate the comment and I still plan on doing a video changing out both of them at the same time don't forget to subscribe and have a blessed day piece I appreciate the comment and I still plan on doing a video changing out both of them at the same time don't forget to subscribe and have a blessed day
Good job bro 👍🏾
Thank you bro appreciate it
Decent video, but would have been better had you zoomed out so we can see exactly where this is located on the engine.
Keep putting out good repair content. Can you help me in how to diagnose the camshaft or crankshaft sensor ?
Thanks you need that sometimes 👍
video very educational for me I have a question what would you suggest would make a car idle drop in reverse or in drive I have the same car 04 Sentra 170+ miles thanks
I would check any trans sensors sounds like Electrical issue I will do some research for you and get back to you as soon as possible thank you have a blessed day
Could you tell why I have to turn the key two before the car can start. It's a 2001 nissan b15
I’ve a 99 Nissan Sentra gxe same problem can’t find the camshaft
Hey quick q. Did you have to disconnect the battery before disconnecting and reconnecting the sensor?
Sorry for the late response no i did not it reset after install
Not the best vid on WHERE the sensor is located but it ain’t hard to find luckily.
Is there a way to troubleshoot the camshaft and crankshaft sensors before changing them?
My Nissan Sentra is not starting, it has fuel, spark and air intake open and is cranking, also it indicates RPM while trying to start ...
Thank you for the video
Perform OBD Scan. You should receive the Code P0335. Will's Shop Dayton performed the EASY Task of replacing the CamShaft Position Sensor. The Crankshaft Position Sensor is harder to remove as underneath the passenger side near the Starter ! Buy the replacement sensor with at least 3-year Warranty. Avoid the Chinese-made from eBay as they are cheap knock-offs. Inspect Wiring Harness when replacing both sensors.
@@peterheeley8206 Thank you
On a 2007 Nissan 2.0 have the same problem replaced both cam and crank sensor , I have fuel spark timing doesn’t seem a problem when it runs for about 30 ideals fine no misfire and when it runs it runs for about then stall ob2 scanner says crankshaft sensor and camshaft I replaced both of them and same problem 2 shops one still not working right and ideas what to look for ? Thank u for ur time
Thank you Peter I just saw that comment now I appreciate your help thank you and have a blessed day. That's what this community is about
@@anthonymiller1866 Wow! The CVT hasn't failed yet ? Nissan Sentra's problems are the Legacy of Carlos Ghosn : Mass produced cheap Mexican-made Sentra's in desperate attempt to gain market share only to ripoff the unsuspecting customer: That's ME and YOU ! Moral of the Story: Never Buy Nissan ! Let the Nigerian Car Thieves IN YOUR TOWN steal it then ship it back to Lagos. You will breakeven on the Theft Insurance Claim !
Do we need to relearn it after installing a new camshaft sensor??
No you do not have to do a reliant procedure after installation you may only have to clear the codes it should learn itself automatically but the cold may still remain
Was your car throwing a code for this? My sentra has been cranking for 4 or 5 seconds but no CEL, going to try this.
Was not thorwing a code it is satrting to take 2 cranks on it now i will be making a vid on changing both sensors, spark plugs, and coil packs.i want 1 crank like most people lets see if i can get it.
Try turning the key to the ON position (but not start!) for a few seconds to let the fuel pump prime, then try starting. If that helps it may be a fuel pump issue.
did u get a code? i dont have a code? still the crankshaft position senors?
I did not receive a code for a bad crankshaft position sensor
Thank you.
No thank you and i hope the video was helpful and have a blessed weekend
Im reading it has to be OEM? Is this right
You can use a aftermarket censor I prefer N Gk but it is recommended to use OEM sensors for your vehicle
@@willsshopdayton5206 I have same symptoms but got a different code p1148. Open/closed loop. Maybe it's both
This guy is a mechanic, or what man..He keep saying crankshaft sensor, it's not..This is the Camshaft sensor fool,on top..😏🤔
2.5 or 1.8?
1 8
@@willsshopdayton5206 my car nissan sentra se-r 2004 2.5 turns off while running or parked and i changed the fuel pump but it still has the problem and it struggles to turn on they told me it is the crankshaft sensor
@@willsshopdayton5206 Do you have any idea what might cause the shutdown failure while moving or parked?
Camshaft *
I know thank you for catching that hope the video helped I will do a video with both. Have a blessed day
Garbage! Absolute garbage! I will never ever buy another Nissan again. Btw the plastic looking cam shaft position sensor is junk.
I love mine its been great for about 4 or 5 years now but it is good to that they have a full metal sensor i will look into it i will be changing both sensors again. Don't forget to subscribe
