    changed the camshaft sensor today in no time and my car skills freaking suck. So thanks so much for saving me a trip to the mechanic and some money!

      No problem, these sensors fail like crazy and even though with certain years, they were recalled it is a bear to get nissan to replace them.

    For hard start I would want to know fuel pressure and how long fuel pressure stays when shut off . Would check fuel regulator , Clean mas airflow sensor with mas airflow cleaner only , and clean throttle plate .and iac if it has one . wonders what temp sensors read .

      It has the faulty fuel pump system in it..... the fuel does drain back after its been started and I have to re prime the system. Known fault and recalled, but not on my year. Fuel pressure holds maybe 5 minutes or so when its turned off. If the car sets for a day or over night, the initial prime of the key is enough to get it to fire. Once its been started and warm, you turn it off for ten minutes and you gotta re prime a few times. The fuel regulator has me wondering. I did clean the throttle plate, it was packed with black crap and I actually had to perform an idle relearn on it as it was idling 1000 too high after I cleaned it out LOL ! crc MAF cleaner ? Gotta get some, havent cleaned that mas air sensor in years. If I ever get well enough, I gotta head back to work and grab the odb2 tool and read the temps. Changing to high mileage and a pure one filter, i have not had any oil light problems or rattle on startup...

    Do you know the next gen 07 Sentras have this sensor located in the same position as 06 versions? I need to do this on my 07 Sentra. I am confused with 3 different similar looking parts.

    • @More350Power
      @More350Power  2 года назад

      I was too at first and I found out they were using the same part number on all of these. When I took out the original sensors they all had matching part numbers. Made things cheaper as some places would list a different cost for a cam sensor than they would for the crank......

    Have a 06 Sentra 65k miles and been noticing onces cold start it starts fine after warm and try to crank doesn't turn until 2 or 3 times to over turn would this fix the issue or would it be a fuel pump ?

    • @More350Power
      @More350Power  2 года назад

      I changed both cam and crank sensors and it helped immensely, though, some of the fuel pump units had an issue where it lost prime and drained back into the tank. I determined this by cycling the key on and off about a dozen times without cranking the engine before trying to actually start and when I know it would be hard starting and when it fired off with no issues, i knew the pump was leaking by.

      i used some simple green and power washed it. i used to detail the engine bay with the rest of the car when I would take it to shows, but havent done that in a while.

    I have a 05 sentra 1.8 having trouble with a escape leak. I replaced gas cap and to go luck code p0455 still showed up.i replaced the purge solenoid on the intake and replaced the vent. Valve on canister.still codes.im stumped.someone told me a gas tank pump seal would cause the code to.is rhis true.

    • @More350Power
      @More350Power  5 лет назад +1

      It could be that or any line that runs from the tank up to the front for the evap system. It needs to be under pressure so anything that would interfere with that will cause headaches. Finding leaks in the lines that run from the front to the back can be tricky unless you have someone use a smoke machine on it to find out where the leak is. My guess would be one of the steel vapor lines or something on the charcoal canister being it is under the car in the back where salt can get to it.

    • @skywatcher856
      @skywatcher856 5 лет назад

      Well I soaped up the fuel pump area no leaks there nore in the front. There is a another sensor on the charcoal canister I check that next.i also have bad starts some times and it take a few cranks to get running.plus all dogs down when throttled too quickly or when you get on it it tends to bogs down then kick in wonder if it's my fuel pump pressure regulator or throttle body what is your suggestion

    • @More350Power
      @More350Power  5 лет назад

      I wouldnt not think soaping it would help, but it could, because the leaks are so minor at times.

    My Nissan Micra K12 petrol is always at 1.400 rpm when car is in idle. How could I low this rpm to the usual rpm (900-1.000 rpm)? Thanks.

    • @More350Power
      @More350Power  2 года назад

      It all depends...... how old is it ? Mine has an electronic throttle control... so if it gets dirty inside, the idle will run faster. On some of the older models with a mechanical throttle, there is an idle speed screw. However, if nothing has really changed and its idling fast, its likely due to a failure of a part like the idle air control valve....

    What kind of Nissan is this? Want to know where is the camshaft sensor located on the Nissan Teana

    My 2005 Nissan Altima SL 2.5l has a rough shift when I put on drive and when accelerating pass first gear but once it's on the road I have no issues. Could this be because of the camshaft and crank sensors? There are no check engine lights on my dash but it only jerks in low speeds or when I start her up and drive off. I checked the transmission oil and I don't see anything wrong. Any help will be much appreciated 🙏.

      Sounds like the transmission. Have you changed the fluid according to the maintenance schedule?

      @Squirrel Covers thanks for the reply brother but it turned out to be the motor mounts. Replaced all of them and now it runs smooth.

      I changed that one as well, but there were some choice words and it took a while after breaking it out to get it changed. The original had swelled in place.

      If the engine doesnt crank over by the starter motor.... it could be a bad batter, bad connection, faulty ground, bad starter relay, bad starter solenoid, bad starter or ignition switch....
