How I discovered my R31's engine mount was farked was if I gave it the boot in first the shifter would whack me in the thigh. Got it on the hoist and discovered it'd completely separated and the whole engine and box was rotating under load

you still have a short somewhere in your wiring, check a wiring diagram for your car and see if you can find anywhere that could have a problem, could be having a wrong fuse in the place where the fuse for the indicators would be. If you just replaced the bulbs youll probably have the problem again in the future.
