Quick tip for anyone who wants to play the double octave part with one guitar but make it sound a little more like two, do the "E" string part of the higher octaves and the "D" string part of the lower octaves. The fingering will be 8-6, 7-5, 6-4, with the third finger on the E/D string and the first finger on the D/C string. I think it sounds great and it gets that dissonance. Thanks so much for these lessons!
I know you probably won’t see this but PLEASE do more ghost tutorials!!! I am new to guitar and already almost have Call Me Little Sunshine down thanks to you and started a bit of Cirice as well. You are so talented and I’m so grateful for you!!
Man thanks a lot for doing this 1 your lessons are the most accurate that I have found I’ve been trying to find a good 1 of this song for a few weeks now the square hammer lesson was great.
Nathaniel Wilder rhythm and leads here are 98% accurate. The remaining 2% is a few added notes and a varied neck position starting the second half of the solo. If you research live performances by the nameless ghouls and a few more you tubers you’ll hear and see that the second half of the solo is actually more simplified (yet still a bit tricky) when played exactly in translation of the album version. This is a great vid to learn from however as I have completed this song in about two weeks from scratch. I moved to a different video for learning the second half of the solo, but this vid is the most accurate for learning the remainder of the song.
@029 Consorti Use a metronome and start at like 55 beats per minute and slowly work your way up to like 110 beats per minute over the course of a week, your muscle memory will slowly get used to it and you'll be able to nail it but you gotta put the practice time in consistently upping your speed cleanly with a metronome. If you don't have one just use an online metronome.
holy shit, just got into ghost last week. I cannot believe you made a video about it! Ghost is definitely one of the coolest bands trending right now imo :)
Bro you just made me a better musician. I'm not very advanced and I kind of plateaued for a few years after having kids. But learning some Ghost is just what I needed to get motivated again.
Thanks Carl just going through this it's obvious that these two guitar players Alpha and Omega, ghoul names were master's at using octaves dissanece to weave their guitar lines together without occupying the same musical spaces in the mix most bands and fans of Ghost don't understand this and that it takes theory and musical knowledge to pull this off these players are what attracted me to this band unfortunately this band was dissolved in 2016 and the replacements just pale in comparison thanks again old Ghoul fan !!!!!!!!!
Marco Samia Original version is pretty straightforward, boi. I really would like to see tabs to Metallica's adaption from Live Shit: Binge and Purge though.
Hey my guitar doesn't sound like yours at all, how do i fix that? Yours sounds so smooth especially with the distortion but mine is squeaky when I swipe from fret to fret and the distortion sounds really buzzy in the amplifier Please help me out
Hey Carl, what happened to the part starting from 9:05? The second part of the main riff? You skipped that and went from the first part directly to the bridge... Or did I miss it?
Yeah I accidentally skipped that during the lesson but if you check the description I have already made a quick TAB for that part. 👍

@@GuitarLessons365SongLessons oh thanks. I didn't see that. I remember that part especially since I was struggling with the bassline. (I play bass, but my son is playing the guitar and he's really into Ghost right now so you video is super helpful). That being said: great work! You seem to be the only one who's really digging into the way it's played live.
Good day Carl.. once awesome lesson.. very much thanks.. by the way, where is your tutorial regarding purple rain by Prince? Seems it is not on your channel..😄
this is great! thank you. any tips on how to get that distortion sound from just an amp without a pedal? I have a marshall MG100dfx. struggle to find a sound I like for it haha
Now's our chance guys
