Hey Angory Tom! Thank you so much for playing our game as an alpha demo. We really enjoyed how you built your studio and directed your scenes, hope you also had fun. Space Vampires was a beautiful tale, and it really connected with me of it's rich lore and story telling.
Don't forget the maximum gore and intimacy.

True story, there actually was a book called The Space Vampires and it was made into a film called Lifeforce in 1984. Tom's film was better.

Apparently the little mermaid remake did quite well, ironically. The "let's do another Indiana Jones movie that's slightly better than the last one" idea turned out pretty much exactly like anyone who wasn't an executive or Harrison Ford expected...

It looks like a mix of The Movies and Game Dev which is kind of awesome.
It’s touted as a spiritual successor but honestly, it feels like a by the numbers simulation game that really misses out on the charm and personality of the original. At least they’ve improved the scene direction.
I always felt that The Movies was way ahead of its time... it's a hidden gem too few people know about.

Keep in mind that The Movies was made by a studio with 100 employees whereas we are 3 core members and a couple part time externals. Nonetheless we will do our absolute best!

Oh now I do love the idea of checking out what films got the same rating :D just something really fun. Not to mention, god, I watched Dragon Heart loads when I was little, loved that film. Taken, I haven't watched it in a long time, and so might mainly be nostalgia glasses, but I do like the film alot :D I must rewatch it
Good to see Tom creating Film Adaptations of Vampire Survivor, clearly the critics have never seen the game and so can't appreciate the films.

Here's why you shouldn't put them all to 10. The game cares about the ratio of the bars and each genre of movie has a preferred ratio. Bringing them all to 10 is the same as leaving them all 6s, and putting them close to what the genre expects actually brings your score up, and score is directly tied to profits.

RUclips thinks this is The Sims from 2000, and honestly, I can see with some of the UI and sounds where it would think that. My fave part was the actors flying away. They went to go be with their people. LOL

This looks pretty cool (even if they are aping Frontier Developments aesthetic pretty hard) though I think it would be fun if the set design could change look to match the time period. The sci fi stuff looking more like what 1920s sci fi was like I mean, and then progressing over time with research maybe.

The UI of this game reminds me of the Sims so much I'm concerned for the dev's legal future.
I don't think that's realistic. "Round white buttons" and whatever other features you're talking about were not invented or copyrighted by the Sims.

what a hellscape of a building, no rooms are connected, you have to go out side every time you need to go to another room. theres no windows except the to windows in the one office that connects to the kitchen. feel like this video need a trigger warning of somekind 😂
