*_the town explodes into a pie_*
the character you play as is such a precious lil man, I adore him, he deserves the WORLD
31:47 just straight jorkin it, and by it, I mean the puters
That bit was definitely the most disgusting bit in the whole game.
27:11 "that's your pipes all cleaned out... And Ive fixed your frier" 💀 💀 💀 classic pomme humour.
As a resident of Guernsey I was glad to hear it mentioned at 18:15
guernsey deserves more shoutouts tbh it's lovely
Wait holy shit I literally just came back from holiday there. This video is right on time

Jesus christ in the finale i was just waiting for some dhmis live action jumps scare.
It was the tensest ive ever been and i literally had to remind myself that it wasn’t supposed to be a horror game.
ive been using the wallace and gromit streams to fall asleep and the old guy at 7:21 is absolutely duncan mcbiscuit
I noticed that too
Lol I use them too
as someone from the town this game is "parodying" (barnsley, in yorkshire), I can confirm this game is incredibly accurate
This game deserves all the love in the world. Thank you Dan for shining a spotlight on it.
"Thank goodness yer 'ere" is gonna be a trauma trigger for this poor lad.
RT can finally make use of his English major
25:49 That "watering can't" joke was so stupid and I love it
A watering cant? That called a bucket xD
I love this game. I am not british but german. I always kind of loved british humor overall. And this world has just a ton of charm in it. It actually feels more alive than a lot of TV shows made for comedy that I kind of forgot I was watching a video from RT playing a game. Hope the guys who made this make even more games with the same passion. Cause this is pure gold.
This is like Monty Python meets Turnip Boy and i'm here for it
THIS IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL EXPLANATION
I was thinking it's a variation of the Untitled Goose Game.
@@kenabaloyan8798isn't it made by the same people?
@@kenabaloyan8798no, they've got the same publishers but different developers.
Dude really said "Screw you guys, I'm going home" at the end there
Can't believe this released as I'm taking a vacation to the UK, I can get initiated before I head in
Really Uk for a vacation?
@@internetgirl4617hey, some people seek out horror for their vacation
run fool
if you get scared off, i dont blame you
enjoy this UK tutorial!
As a Scot, this is pretty much what we all think goes on down in England.
as an english, you're all correct
25:16
Matt Berry is a phenomenal voice actor for this game, holy shit
I like how the ending song was probably the most rhytmic one i've ever seen in any playthrough funny :)
Damn did he miss the "pleasure a fishmonger" achievement?
That 1 minute scene of Roger actually had so much emotion, more than a lot of full movies. I really like this weird game actually!😂
I think the most English game I've ever seen is Sir, You Are Being Hunted, but this definitely ranks up there.
4:54 "every morning, I wake up, can of lager, then i do a big wee, THEN i get out of bed" ??? WHY DOES HE DO A WEE BEFORE GETTING OUT OF BED heavens above
There's a lot of hard to notice jokes like
"Can of lager, have a big wee"
... "Then i get out of bed"
The Princess Diana memorial plate really sold this as the definitive Yorkshire simulator
As a Yorkshireman, I can confirm this game is 100% accurately representing folks up North in't Dales
Laughed aloud when the locksmith bottle said "every morning, I have a pint, do a big wee, then get out of bed"
He’s played Doom.
He’s played Bloodborne.
*And yet this confounded hellscape surpasses them all in sheer horror.*
I should rewatch the bloodborne video. I need a pallete cleanser with less visceral horror after this
"Ahh, nothing like a nice wet pint to start the day. Every morning, I wake up, can of lager, do a big wee, then I get out of bed and go downstairs for my morning pint."
Just take a second to process that story...
I HAD WATER IN MY MOUTH DURING THE WATERING CAN JOKE GOD DANG IT!!!
So I just saw Elijah Wood at Tampa Bay Comic Convention and someone asked what video game he was playing. He said “Thank Goodness You’re Here” and I was literally the _only_ person in the enter audience who knew what he was talking about 😅
Am I having a stroke? What's even happening?
England
average day in yorkshire my friend
Ah nowt to worry about, lad. You'll be reyt!
This is the most British humour game I've ever bloody seen. Just beat the shit out of things, puns and random stuff. Brilliant.
biblically accurate Yorkshire
I love that 'Little guy causes mischief in Northern England' is now officially a genre of game
are there more games like this?
If this is what Britain is like, no wonder people declared their independence from them as fast as they could.
If this was all they were, I'd probably be perfectly fine being one of them.
If this is what Britain is like, I'm off to the land of the small helpful man
its like this but with more racism
@Your-Least-Favorite-Stranger there's a spy creepin around here
(Wait I just realized this makes no sense because the spy is French not British)
@@Your-Least-Favorite-Strangeronly in the north 😅
I love the Roger flashback. The way the rhyme gets dropped just to call him a bellend is the most aggressively British thing I've esperienced since my own days in High school... days I do not miss.
Ah yes, punching everything, ‘tis the English way
RT has an incredible skill for walking away from jokes right before the actual punchline
This is like if Homestar Runner was 15% more vulgar and 110% more English.
THATS WHY IT FEELS SO FAMILIAR, DOWN TO THE COLOR PALETTE AND JOKE PACING.
Perfectly timed advertisement, i got an ad for a roller coaster as soon as it zoomed in on the cow's eye, like i thought it was part of it for one second.
I never lived in the North, I lived in Herefordshire, but the quaint town square is yet so utterly familiar, and the friendly demeanour of all that lived there. What a sweet little game (though rather absurd)
God I love that regional accent, "haven't baked owt yet" "nowt" I need much more media with that specific accent. There's a game I can't remember the name of that uses mostly that accent 🤔
that’s the yorkshire accent for you aha
I'm not sure about stuff that is this specific kind of comedy, but The Royle Family is about a Yorkshire family and the entire show is set in the living room in front of the telly
I would be dead chuffed if we got more people in the media with a thick Yorkshire accent. I have one meself sometimes.
As someone who lives in a lovely little village called West Crumpeastwardshireton, this seems jolly accurate
I was so jumpscared when I first saw this game's trailer and recognized the voice of Jon "Log" Blyth, a niche podcast man who followed me back on Twitter for sending him news about baseball players pooping themselves
