I found that a lot of people don't know the real consequences of ducks eating bread. There's a lot of conditions that can result of it, such as Angel Wing where flight feathers grow in the wrong direction resulting in a loss of flight, as well as organ failure. As a bird watcher, I've seen many birds with overgrown beaks(I saw a cockatoo with a beak so overgrown they couldn't forage, most likely dooming that bird to struggle to find food), angel wing, and other symptoms of bread diets and it always makes me feel sick

I absolutely ADORE how the inspection mechanic shows that they have detailed art for things, so the very simple art style you see most of the game in is an extremely intentional choice! It's very cute and I just love the peek behind the curtain. Also maybe suggests the Ducktective is short sighted and needs the focus in to see these details?

Bread addiction is a serious problem. I’m glad this game addresses that.
On a real note, don’t feed ducks bread. It doesn’t give them nutrients and make them feel full even though they need more nourishment.

Some people have a stronger response to certain chemicals that gluten breaks down into. These can make their way to the brain where they activate the same receptors drugs like morphine and cocaine activate.
a good alternative is peas!
Fun Fact: The VA for the Duck Detective is Sean Chiplock who also voices Revali, Teba and the Great Deku Tree in BOTW.
Quite crazy to hear so many prominent voice actors in this short but loveable indie game that has a divorce plotline more compelling and engaging than Detective Pikachu!

One hundred percent, duck detective can intuit the mechanics of the Death Note and solve the Kira case.

Its a shame Freddy is not going to be working with Duck Detective again, unless they do, he would've made a great Junior Ivesti-Gator
Its a crime nobody commented on how sweet this smooth jazz was, perfect noir vibe music, love that the composer went the extra mile and NAILED the music.
A short yet sweet detective game that oozes more personality and charm in the first 30 minutes than Detective Pikachu Returns had in its entirety.
ok so i googled “Can ducks fly backwards” and one of the results i got was “Canadian geese are capable of flying any which way they want to.” Which sounds very on point for canadian geese 😂

Was really happy when I realised that Happy Broccoli Games (the studio behind this game) is German - after Daedalic went out with the massive fart that was Gollum, it gives me hope to see that we still have studios that make good games.
so happy to see ducktective get an official game. You'd expect anything done with the franchise nowadays to be a cash grab, considering the show ended years ago, but it seems like the game is made by some people who know what they're doing, which is nice!

I was expecting a plot twist with Freddy having a little bird hiding in his mouth whose the actual mastermind behind everything.
I blame this moment 9:17 for making me think someone else had been laughing.
the thing is, that technically speaking, in real world all 3 of them would be arrested too. the only one i could see any leeway for is Boris, because of the possible manipulation of his partner, but Sophie was neither manipulated nor blackmailed into helping with smuggling, so like, 100% guilty of helping with the crime. Manfred would get worse punishment for blackmailing Sophie later on to not rat him out and kidnapping, so that's fun.

The moment I saw the announcement trailer for this game I immediately said "Oh yeah RT is gonna play the crap out of this one on release" just very RT vibes
I never expected the Ducktective to have such a hot voice lol
My favorite part of this game is when you show Rufus the smelly duffle bag he lets out a guttural retching sound. It caught me so off guard and I cracked up laughing for a solid 10 minutes😂. Extremely well acted.
Honestly wish there was more to this game. Like length wise. More game to play because this was really good.

The games writing plus rt's jokes made me laugh louder than i thought I could. I already started to watch the highlights but I'll watch the stream vod after I'm done with this.
