- Trying to find that sweet spot for the FPS and RTX 3070.
This was my initial setup and talk through.
I will do a follow up video when I get the perfect balance for gameplay + FPS.

Very cool demo, thanks. I just ordered this card from amazon (paying scalper prices of $1149 on 2/13/2021 - apologies to those holding out). I'll be using with my 9 year old PC (i7 2600) until I build a new one this spring. I did two playthroughs of Cyberpunk 2077 already on this system using an asus GTX 1080. I basically set everything to low and it runs fine except a few lags when driving through congested areas (usually when turning a corner fast). Even on low settings, the graphics and gameplay are not bad with that old setup at 1440p. In spite of a number of bugs and unfinished game systems, CP2077 was fun and I look forward to continuing fixes and content. ...and especially trying out my new card :)
Damn these scalpers! But the upside is you FOUND a card! Even with the old setup I'm sure you'll do fine for a bit with the new card.

@@techcontrolofficial Amazon has had 3070s for at least a week now. It's just paying the blood money that held me back. This one (EVGA 08G-P5-3767-KR GeForce RTX 3070 FTW3 Ultra Gaming) was sold under the "prime" banner. I don't know if that means this is actually a price set by EVGA or what, but they say I can receive it in 6 days. They also had a 3080 but for $2400 you could buy a whole tower system with a 3080 included.
The sellers on amazon also try to make as much as they can as any other retailer would. As far as the 3080 the prices are just insane. I mean you can build a nice rigat the $2400 price point.
Did you OC your card for this game? If it was at stock, what type of Clock speed you were getting? Cause you don't show it here.
The card is always set to default settings for all my gameplays. I prefer not to mess with the OC settings to minimize any risks. As far as clock speeds, I'm not sure. I'll run the game again and get back to you on that. Also thanks for pointing out clock speeds, I'll try to implement that metric on screen in future gameplay videos.
I have the same GPU and it will boost itself to 2100Mhz in games and benchmarks
@@biglred I see, do you have TIMESPY results by any chance? For 1440p gaming?
That sounds about right, given the fact that it's the FTW3 and has more powerful VRAM and higher OC potential.
Why did you opt for high settings and not ultra?
With ultra settings I was getting around 25-40 fps and I was aiming for at least 60-75 with my 165hz monitor. Also cyberpunk is terribly optimized and requires crazy amounts of VRAM. Hopefully the updates will fix that. Also worth noting I kept all settings on high/ultra and changed the DLSS settings between balanced and performance and found I got close to the fps I wanted. You can mess around with the settings and let me know what works best for you!
