- Finally found a 3000 series card from Nvidia. As you know the stock is not there and it's impossible to find these cards.
I noticed retailers keep increasing the price depending on availability.
The card is a beast and handles modern AAA games at 1440 with high refresh rates when needed like butter!

I got this card for my first PC build. Unfathomable upgrade from console gaming. Absolutely in love. Paid extra for it but it is worth every penny spent :)

Just got the same card from Canada computers too. Was on a waitlist for the Gigabyte at 680+taxes, but they didn't expect any cards for months. Bought this one for a high price... But also sold my rtx2060 for a ridiculous 625$. Amazing card.

I bought a pre-built for cheaper than I could build one and thought the components would be shit. But when I got it, not only were the components actually good, I got the EVGA 3070 FTW. I was freaking surprised as hell.

Glad i am in canada and managed to grab the last one on today on black friday. its the beast 3070 TI FTW3 Ultra. In love with that till date was using my 1050TI from MSI.

It is a beast have you gotten the evga gpu application which allows to control lighting on the gpu?
Yeah the EVGA PX1 software, I've used it but as far as overclocking and tweaking performance MSI afterburner is better.

Got this GPU a year and a half ago. An excellent albeit expensive card. I recently upgraded my processor to an R7 5800X and combined with this card, there's almost nothing I can't play at max settings, 1440p, 75fps. Feels great haha.
Amazing!! I’ve been looking into the R5 7600X for the next upgrade with this card, but the R7 5800D isn’t a bad option either. I’m currently running the R5 5600x.

I hear good things about the R5, but I don't think I could ever go less than eight cores again. The R7 5800X for its 'on sale' price right now is one of the best price-to-performance ratios I've ever seen on a CPU! It's hard to go wrong with any of the Ryzens at the moment though.
EVGA emailed that i was able to purchase at $711 after i purchased today and did overnight shipping lol... i told my co worker and ended up selling my evga 1080 at $400 same day. The wait was worth it, just watching this video has me excited AF!

Oh word? I guess with the holidays it got delayed. I find the stock and availability ridiculous, I mean these cards are impossible to find. If you do find a new in box from classified sites these scalpers are charging up to $300 more than the MSRP. Also I noticed retailers increasing the prices every time a new batch arrives. I have seen the price of the EVGA 3070 FTW3 go from $829 to $859 and now its at $899.

After lots of research I decided on this card for my first build. I unfortunately had to reinstall my Asus GT730 card to have it operable. I managed to learn of the EVGA wait list and received confirmation I will be contacted. Given I'm in Canada, I am curious if any Canadian's have recently received one? Like most of my build I paid a premium for an element of future proofing, I'm curious what the eventual cost people are paying to get this as the web site price is in US Dollars. I did lots of home work to find this card and like that it has Gen4. I'll be using it with a Samsung UHD monitor so I'm feeling good about my choice but not the potentially scary price by the time it's in my hands. Thanks!

@@Sayykrid if you are near mine which is tustin microcenter most of the time they lie on their website thankfully i got there because i see it still shows there 3070 and now it says theres 3080 but my friend went and there nothing there and some people were complaining too, i called before hand they said they were getting multiple phone calls about it

Just bought one off Facebook $400 i can’t believe a lot of online stores still selling them for $800-$1300 CAD but it’s a nice upgrade from R9 280 with some bottlenecking but it play far cay 6 nicely.

Just picked up an evga b-stock one for 419. Heck of an upgrade from my gtx 980
I was able to upgrade from an RX 580 8gb to this and I'm so very happy
i got mine's out of dumb lucky went to micro center for a 1660 super. they ended up have the 3070! so i got it right away!!

I managed to get one from a German website today for €850 euro the price keep going up but they sold out within 3 hours. Just glad i got one finally🙌
SWEET! I know with the stock levels and supply/demand the pricing is brutal and they sell out within minutes. I sometimes think about it and I'm like DAMN! GPU's are the price of a high end laptop or a complete PC.

Same, I had the MSI gtx 1070 gaming X for a whe with the i7 7700 16gb ram. Currently I'm running a ryzen 5 5600x evga rtx 3070 FTW3 and 16gb ram. For a couple weeks I had the XFX 5700xt and I tried the evga 2070 super as well but the 3070 is a serious card!

It is a beast of a card for sure, has amazing tmeps and gameplay. I am satisfied with it. Also EVGA has the Px1 software which allows you to overclock. I got a score of high 14k with 3d mark timespy with the overclock. I made a video on the 3d mark timespy and I'll upload a video using the Px1. I'm sure you will enjoy the gameplay.

That's so clutch! With the crazy low stock levels and retailer making up the prices you still did better than what we'd get in Canada. Your USD $679 is CAD $862. And currently it's going for CAD $899.

I wonder why the 3080 rgb strip looks different from its 3070 version. The 3080 rgb strip looks silver when its off and white text. But the 3070 has black text and its a white bar. Not that it matters or anything but i found that kinda odd lol
That is interesting, Nvida is probably like "WE NEED IDEAS HERE TEAM!" and that's what they came up with lol. They were probably distracted by AMD catching up.

What’s the difference between this and the XC3 ultra?
The FTW3 is the flagship that evga makes. The XC3 ultra are just as good with a few differences in my opinion mainly more powerful VRAM, higher overclocking potential and the a ability to run cooler for longer periods.

Anyone else notice the bent heat fin near the 8+8 power? lol
Yeah I noticed that as well lol, and thought it was a defect. Apparently it's made like that so the wires don't come in contact with the upper heat sink. I even tried to bend it back in place thinking it would fix it but it's too strong and it wouldn't budge.
I read online with others having similar issue with bent fins on 3080's. I was going to RMA mine but didn't want to deal with the wait times and left it as it is. But I can see if the heat fins are seriously bent or one side is all touching it can be a concern.

I had a Strix 3070 but the shroud around the fan fell off so I sent it back and the place I ordered it from offered me this one instead.

Yes with the PX1 software you can adjust the colors to whatever you want

Would this fit in a h210?
Do you have a radiator in the front? If so then it may not fit. If you do NOT. have a a radiator installed in the front this is what your left with.
So reading online:
Cable Management: 16.3mm GPU Clearance: Up to 325mm GPU Max Thickness: 44mm CPU Cooler: Up to 165mm Front Radiator: 85mm Rear Radiator: 42mm PSU Length: 311mm.
And the EVGA RTX 3070 is 300mm. It's cutting it very close because the evga 3070 is a tripple fan card.

where did you buy it from?
From Canada Computers, so I kept checking for the stock and as soon as I found one I emailed them to reserve it. You have to email them because it's curbside pick-up only. The emails are time stamped and that's how they determine first come first serve (as one of the employees was telling me).
can you change the lights on it?
Yes you can using the PX1 software. I'll post a video about that as well.

12353 is the score and the average for my setup is 12434. During the first test I was recording the screen for a video I was making. Without the screen recorder running 12353 is the score. Also the AMD chips are RAM hungry currently I have 2X8 3000mhz installed and I may be able to gt a higher score with more RAM at 3600mhz.

The design of xfx 5700xt model you have (according to your graph), is not good. The side blocks too much airflow and performs badly. Yes it’s good it includes the support bracket but it’s not worth it.
The comments you made on the EVGA backplate design “nothing crazy here” may refers to the aesthetically design. However, the cooling performance of the pcb and backplate is exceptional if you compare to other rtx 3070. It doesn’t trap heat and has good heat dissipation!
This is a very good gpu in terms of performance and you are not giving accurate info for your audience.
Hey, thanks for the feedback, yeah the xfx 5700 was a poorly designed card. As far as the evga 3070 FTW3 I think it's a beast and I totally recommend this card. This video is not an in depth technical review by any means, it's a quick video I put together our of excitement cuuse I had finally found one. You can check out tons of other videos that explain all the technical specs with temps and airflow and the materials used to design the card. They even have teardowns to show you exactly what kind of screws are used along with the thermal paste etc.

@@virgulinoferreira3472 That's cool man! My mobo has rgb headers controlled by MSI Mystic light, but to synch it with all the other rgb installed I may have to use a rgb hub and connect the 3070 to it.
@@techcontrolofficial Update. turns out the FTW3' RGB pins are for the GPU to act as a controller, not a client (ex. if you connect a fan at the GPU's pins, and it supoorts RGB, the fan will light up accordingly to the GPU). But my Motherboard doesn't see the GPU's RBG. So, I use the MB's software for All the RGB (AIO, fans, NVME) but the GPU and it's fan, these I control with PX1.
@@virgulinoferreira3472 Ah OK, I didn't bother to plug anything into the GPU pins, although it's a cool feature of yuu lack rgb headers on the motherboard. I use the MSI control panel and have the front rgb and cooler rgb synched (rainbow loop) and the gpu is in the rainbow loop be default which I find looks cool.
Stopped listening when you said it is a 2slot card. Mate it is not about how many actual slots it uses in your case, it is about how many slots get blocked by the card. Please count again thx.

I really have no clue why people say this card is a good 1440p card, Its an amazing 4k card, I paired it with a 5600x and I see 300fps in most games with settings maxed out at 4k, the lowest ive ever seen in my system is 80fps in super graphically intensive games, still in 4k maxed out
Is it working good?
Yeah, it's a beast! From temps to performance. It'll do the trick for a while with most modern titles.

The 2X 8 pin are the power connectors that come from the power supply and plug into the side of the GPU (or front if your looking at the gpu installed). The GPU does not come with the 8 pin connectors.
