me, you, and probably 98% of everyone else who woke up early to buy one today. As a best buy employee for all of my adult life, I'm deeply dissapointed that my company couldn't implement something as simple as cart protection and a dang captcha. How are you going to list an item as "online only" only to be told seconds later that it isn't available for shipping? I hope this ruins Nvidia, and AMD takes over all their customers next month with their new cards. I know I'll be trying to get a 6800XT.
i got it and luckily i had no problems. it has even already been shipped.
I was able to get one, it said that for me but I kept clicking through regardless of the errors and it gave me it. All I can say is that I was very lucky. I hope everyone else here is able to get the card soon. (and for a proper cost)
@@Liquidsevenz Same things going to happen with those cards too. Bots combine with Microsoft and Sony not wanting everyone to go PC before they sell their consoles. I wouldn’t hold your breath. The fix is already in.

Yeah I have trouble waking up early because I work a night shift, so I stayed up all night just to make sure I'd be on top of it the minute it was available. And I was perfectly on top of it. Too bad the Best Buy site spent over 20 minutes jerking me around with strange errors until it finally booted it out of my cart and told me they were sold out. Complete nonsense.

I called Best Buy to chnage it to my full name and then I ordered something random and my order went thru without issue. @@hamajangz9586 Just be happy its a 10 series gpu. Before that laptop gpus were "mobile" variants that performed piss poor. The gt 1030 is at least the same in your laptop as the desktop. 30fps from any game on 1080p high/ultra with that gpu you have there is pretty damn good.

I share your opinion. With the pricing of the 3070 AIB Models so high here in Australia, I might just end up with a 2080ti anyway. I should of bought won in the first place, instead of waiting. Especially because the 4k performance is slightly better. I never thought this would happen.

I mean, I feel like people need to calm down, imho you don't need the newest thing right away? I'm waiting 3 months, my hardware still works great and I don't need the newest thing asap. Also, the more time you wait, the more you allow Nvidia to work some of the kinks out of the manufacturing process, like the issue with the capacitors.

When I tried to buy my 3070 it got "We can't ship to your area" I got all the way to the check out and I was putting my card in and when I was hitting BUY it said that message.

I finally got a 3070. A few years later. The EVGA 3070 FTW3 Ultra. I've used EVGA since my very first build and have never had any problems so I kept with them. Thanks for the video. I know you got alot of hate when making these videos but you were right when you said we'd need them when we could actually find them.
The Founders Edition cards are designed so well that they are my preference even when more performance is on the table. They are beautiful.

If you believe delaying had any effect of not selling out then you really don’t understand the logistics lol... People were showing up to micro center 2-3 and a half hours after launch time and still picking up cards so obviously this launch was wayyy better than 3080/3090

They delayed the release to coincide with AMD's announcement. This had nothing to do with stock.

I have had the EVGA RTX 3070 XC3 Ultra now for 2 years after finally getting one through EVGA and I love this card, great temps and wonderful game play. cost me $750
picked one up used about 4 months ago and temps are beautiful. it's kinda in a hot location, so i was worried for a bit, but it runs SO cool.

This exact card in 3080 has pretty poo thermal performance, even compared to even the founders edition 3080. Usually they are good, but the 3080 XC3 isn’t great

For me not really. As far as I heard from a lot of friends and ppl in streams of I believe it was moondye7 AMD has a lot of problems in the end. Especially if you have Intel CPUs. (Most AMD users are probably gonna have a AMD CPU as well but just in case someone did have an Intel CPU i wanted to adress this here).

If AMD could get there drivers together and etter supported I would be more willing to get their flagship, but I've yet to see this from them

So everyone could buy only 1(limited quantity) per phone number and you should give a valid phone number to purchase. I guess these changes would make it much harder for the scalpers, to write a bot what has a legit phone number and have access to the sms, also can parse the required code from it. They could also add some random factor to the confirmation sms, idk changing the text randomly to make it harder to parse. I am pretty sure these changes could have been implemented in the last 1-2 month, after the 3080 shit festival :(

I finally got one of these, October 2021, through the EVGA queue. Very excited!!
I didnt get one, but my friend did while we were in a discord call. It was probably the most stressful experience of all time for the both of us.
My experience is that buying something on launch day has a higher likelihood of ending badly. Its sort of like losing a bid on a house, most people end up being glad they did because the house they ended up with turns out to be nicer.

I got the card waiting on line outside in the NY microcenter. They had so many cards. Apparently in Brooklyn, I was 14th in line, but there was a total of 100 ppl, and 80 of them got cards. (I got the gaming x trio from msi)
The one in Yonkers? They said they sold out at 1:30pm. Didn’t get one though :/

The micro center in westbury had 150. I walked into the one in queens 3 hours late and still got one. No line no Hassel.
Yeah I was in Tustin, CA, there were 200+ of us, the manager said 'that's it' and apparently everyone got one of the FE cards :/

The EVGA cue system works great. I clicked "Notify Me" about one of the 3090 cards on the afternoon of launch day. I received an email this week notifying me that my card is available and my 3090 is out on the UPS truck for delivery today.
EVGA sent me my email for my card today. Checked my email and bought it with only 15 mins left on my 8 hr time limit! I signed up the day it came out, so almost three months.
Absolutely hate retailers:
MSRP: 500 Dollars (430 euro)
Retail price: (at least) 700 dollars (600 euro)

US$500 is a recommended retail price excluding any sales tax which will account for a good chunk of the difference.

I’ve come to the conclusion that I will never probably get a FE at this point.
The Founder's Edition has a more "professional" look to it; they usually do. That, plus the fact they're DIRECTLY from Nvidia itself. They are definitely unique cards with a certain appeal.
@@CollateralHK I am one of the few who actually like this positioning, I love lineup cables and enjoy them surrounded by other components rather than tuck all of them in the backplate

I was able to snag a 3090 ftw3 ultra from EVGA. Signed up 9/24 @ 3pm pst. Very pleased how EVGA handled this no other retailer cares about getting products in their customers hands honestly. I don’t mind paying a little extra for a company making the effort.

You get rage mode just with the card. That's basically just automatic overclocking. The smart access memory is what you get when you pair it with a zen 3 cpu. Just saying.
Rage mode is also going to be the description of the buying experience when the AMD cards sell out instantly as well.

Obviuosly hes teying to sell old merch and no ot stopping completly. Merch is cheap to make and easy to make money from. Which is why everybody sells merch. This is especially true for bands and rappers when they do shows. Most money is made from merch.

I just got mine 3hrs ago. 3070 ultra for 750 with 2 year warranty from microcenter. I got laid off from my job because the job is over and I was in Houston already so I made the 45min drive and the line had like 50 people already and I knew I didn't stand a chance if they had a few in stock but I still stayed to look around and get other components. Ends up they had about 60 of them in stock and I was one of the lucky ones to get their hands on one. Didn't think I would get it but now I can die in peace after many months of waiting 😒

Fry's was awesome! It was the hottest shop in town for a while. Then one fine day about 11 years ago I saw a special for speakers in the weekly ad they used to put out. So I went down there. The guy told me "There's no such deal!" I said "Yeah there is, it's in the ad". He said. "No it's not! and I'm the guy who makes the ads!". I was like "ok, well EXCUUUSE ME SIR!" and that was when I knew they were done. The day THAT guy started making the ads.

Been in that “queue” line since 9/17/20 and still no email.
From what I've seen via reddit fans, evga is currently sending invites to people from special 17th around 9am for the ftw3 ultra and the xc3 ultra is currently at 9/16 4pm. So depending what card you signed up for, you will likely be getting it soonish

LMAO here in India, the F.E Founders Edition 3070 is going to be sold on Nvidia's website for 71,000 rupees which is equivalent to $950 USD, almost double what it is in the U.S. And it's going to take at least a month to even launch here because of shipping times or whatever
I just got a EVGA FTW3 3070 and it was a return so just by chance it was the slightly higher boosted one. It's a huge upgrade form my 1070ti.
There were plenty available in Australia the 3070’s were in stock for at least an hour.

Literally just bought a Gigabyte 3070 OC at 10pm from Umart, either got insanely lucky or people only check one or two online stores

Some info on noise and thermals would be good. The performance difference is negligible most of the time, 1-5%, so it comes down to whether the card runs cooler and quieter to determine if it's worth it over the FE.
My Cyber Power PC from BB has an EVGA RTX 3070 XC3 Ultra in it. Also has 32 gigs of ram and a 5800x CPU. So far the PC has been great!

Seems the best bet was to get to a Microcenter. Many had some left over. But I did get lucky with BB this morning and got an FE. Sucks about the "can't ship to you" nonsense.

I've been on their waiting list since 9/18, the day after the release of 3080. Not a peep so far. I don't even believe these cards are real. RUclipsrs just got prototype boards, that's what they are if nobody in the real world can get one. We'd have a better chance of finding Sasquatch in the woods than we would finding an available Nvidia RTX 3000 series card in stock ANYWHERE at MSRP.

In the UK, got a 3070 FE from Scan. Took 40 minutes of intense tab-hopping and F5 hammering but I got one without using bots and it just dispatched, so I definitely know it exists.

I will, probably take 6 months at least to get through step up though. I'm happy to pay €60 more to be able to use my 2070S until then though.

I recently just traded my 2070 super and $300 for the non ultra version of this card (the 2070 super by the way i got right before the 30 series launch for $250) I've seen how the community has been toxic about these recent launches (which to an extent they have the right to be) and i would like to say keep up the good work and helping us have the proper info to make an informed decision

I got the MSI gaming x trio from microcenter 2 hours after launch. They apparently received about 80% of Nvidias stock due to them being the only store doing pick up. That way, the cards avoid scalpers and bots
I was able to obtain a 3070 FE from BestBuy for MSRP.
I even saw it and other AIBs become available again later (11 am EST) while checking the order status.
BestBuy seemed to change the Add to Cart system to disrupt the bots. The initial click added you to a queue system that required you to wait to add to cart again and be able to checkout.
As a side-note; I was prompted to sign-in again when I went to checkout after having already been signed in. The SSO using Google was down, so I had to go through the Forgot my password process to disconnect Google and be able to login. After logging in, I was positive it would have been removed from my cart or even during the "Reserving Item" status but I did receive the tracking number.
For those curious; I am upgrading from an ASUS GTX 780 Ti DC2OC and plan to pass the 3070 to my wife who is using an ASUS TUF 1650 Super OC, once the ROG STRIX 3080 (Ti?) becomes available.

Sometimes things like that have to be expected. At least, it's a more efficient cooling method which should become standard eventually. What really worries me is the 8gb memory. With dlss the 8gb are enough? I hope so.

I joined the queue the day that this vid came out and learned about the queue system from Jay. Today, January 15th 2021, I finally got the email to buy this exact card! Originally I was going for one of the ASUS cards but multiple reviews and the fact that EVGA is doing it like this pushed me over the edge. Also, with the additional tariffs implemented on things from China, EVGA gave me a discount since I joined the queue before all of that happened! Wonderful customer service and excellent idea of how to handle such high demand for these cards.
Got my EVGA 3070 XC3 Ultra last week, I was in the queue system on EVGAs site. Love the car, temps are very good (~64c) under 97-98% load and it stays pretty quiet.
I wish the fans on the EVGA cards looked like the ones rendered on their box instead of the ones they include with all the little E-herpes all over the fan blades.... I can paint the clown lips black.

Personally, being a person with a clear/glass case aesthetics matter to me... so the looks of the card have a bearing on what I buy. For me the EVGA cards are a win-win because they have historically been a quality brand and I think these will look good in what I have.
I have the EVGA RTX 3070 Ultra. I definitely love it, but I sure didn't get it for anywhere close to MSRP. In March of 2021, it cost me trading a Gigabyte GTX 1080 Ti Black plus $450 cash in a local deal. That's an $800 real cost for me, since I was lucky enough to get the 1080 Ti for just $350 right before GPU prices went insane again. I'm pretty thrilled to have any RTX 3000-series card right now. And I skipped the RTX 2000-series completely, so having this fancy new cutting-edge card is even more exciting.
