As Indian prices concerned, Guys, Don't buy the 3070 AIB cards. At that price you'll get a 3080FE and you'll still save approximately 200$. Do not buy the AIB unless these people drop the price. koi khareedega hi nahi to jhak marke price kam karenge. They are selling them at double prices. And jinke pas extra paisa hai unko kitna bhi samjhao, they are going to buy no matter what the price is.

one important point on the Strix is that it has 2 fan headers so you can plug your own fans directly on to the card if you want even more cooling

I am out of luck on launch day either, preordered a 3080 IN PERSON from the largest computer retail in my country and paid retail price in advance and I expected 2-3 weeks. Alas, I got a notification for a pick up.
There are so many stocks of 3070's in Hong Kong and The Philippines.
You guys ever notice how many RUclipsrs use the exact same set? White desk (check). Colored lights shining on the walls (check). RGB desktop PC in the background (check). Parts boxes on shelves (check). Nerdy action figures (check). It's like they all film in the exact same location.

Are the Strix cards worth the big pricetag?
For the price of a Strix 3060 Ti, you can get a 3070 (other brand), and for the price of a Strix 3070, you can get a 3080 (other brand), so are the Strix cards worth it, does it perform that much better, to justify the price?
No asus rtx 3070 is so costly that you can buy a rtx 3080 at same price
i actually like the looking of the founder edition the most :)) . just my taste. Also since it's smaller, maybe better chance with mini itx.
As I said, just because there are bigger cards with higher efficiency doesn't mean the FE is less than good (great even tbh)!

I just found a gigabyte 3070, did the crazy thing and bought it, I was gonna wait a while for AMD but I guess I'm now building my 2nd rig around the 3070.

@@NeVErseeNMeLikEDis the 6800 is not 20% faster than a 3070 😂 it was like 10 percent faster at best than the 2080ti in the amd graphs and they even had the ryzen 5000 only "memory access" feature on which is an unfair benefit, but im planning getting the asus 3070 tuf, because i think it looks good and it is very good for the price.

@@rajoxbuum2035 yeah i know that, i also like how the card looks, but the card is too long for my case + a heavy radiator is in the way, max clearence i got is 310 mm and the tuf is 300mm long.

How u got it in stock?
So I went to my local Canada Computers retailer last night in hopes of joining the 120 unit que line for the 3060ti, as I was there trying to decide which model I should order an employee comes out of the back saying they JUST got a 3070 in and they have 5 people on the phone calling about it.. but since im here now.. "ILL TAKE IT". Turns out it was the Gigabyte GAMING OC model which is the same model in this video, and same as my current 1660ti, one thing She didnt mention but I really like is the fact this one has 4 heatpipes in direct contact with the gpu, whereas most twin fan coolers only have 3 heatpipes. I just looked up the strix which also has a bunch of heatpipes, but with a heatplate attached. Anyways I've been very happy with my 1660 ti GAMING OC and Im extremely happy that I was able to even get to have a 3070 so soon. This also comes with an extra 4th year of warranty if you register it online. They try and sell you an extended warranty when you buy it for an extra 150$, and they say if in 3 years they dont have any 3070's, then they give you the NEWEST "5070/6070" whatever one is out at the time.. which I feel hard to believe but hey whatever sells the warranty lol. God bless

Buy the cheapest one available in other words. Regarding looks, I never cared about that. I'm not looking at plastic over my GPU when I'm gaming.
Dont do that. Alot of people will buy the zotac cards, and zotac literally cut every single corner they could with their cards. They perform worse than FE. Atleast they cut the prices of their gpus today which makes sense because they are not worth what the others are.

Gigabyte 3070 is the best. Why? Because that's the one I got and to protect my ego I refuse to believe any other version is better.
For 1440p gaming, NVIDIA's FE card is my obvious choice due to pricing, the other cards are way overpriced compared to 3080 MSRP.

I was able to get the MSI Ventus OC from PLE for $999 AUD. But idk man I'm kind of in a state of shock, that markup is fucking absurd. I was dying to get my hands on a RTX 3070 for my first PC build and wanted to get one ASAP so I could build my PC before November end. But after that price tag... I don't know what I should do. Hold on to it? Sell it at a higher price? Sell it after the AMD 6800 benchmarks come out? Jeez I didn't realize I would feel worse buying a RTX 3070 rather than not being able to.
@hagormo . Look, if you can afford it, and you want it, just enjoy it and see what the future brings. There is always something else coming, there's always going to be some fluctuations, etcetera. I'd plug in that RTX 3070 and just go and have fun with it. Absolutely no reason to feel bad / worse after buying a nice card.
Fyi, I've got a 3080 Ventus here, it's actually pretty good :)
@@TechTesters Heyyy! Thanks for the encouragement haha. Yeah I'm certainly one of the people who doesn't buy into the whole "wait there are new parts coming out" business. The exception was the RTX 3000 series considering they were such a giant leap from the previous generation. Oh well, once I plug this bad boy into the rig and start up my 1440p monitor, all the anxiety will probably wash away.

Thank you! Considering the small performance differences I see seo far, I think in general the cheaper SKUs are the better value. I haven't seen the TUF RTX 3070, but if it's the same cooler as on the RTX 3080 it'll be great for sure. Strix looks nicer though.

There is no single good reason to buy that card..
Cheapest of these cards (not counting the unavailable FE) is actually 680 rn, so all of a sudden that communicated (and not real) ROG price isn't that insane...I wonder whether the FE is actually going to be available at any point before Q2 2021. Man, NVIDIA really seems to have botched this up quite well

So glad all the RUclipsrs got 50% of the 30 series stock. I have searched for every single 30 series since launch. Im on EVGAS que. If im lucky ill have one by 2021.
I still see a huge gap design wise, the FE is gorgeous while the others have this gaming vibe transformers looking that is starting to look old and repeating across all brands, i can't believe people look at the rgb to buy a video card and the cooling performance 🤔 if u buy one of those big cards to go extreme and hit some OC you might wanna water block it.. so what's the point of buying a strix if clocks speeds are the same?
OC potential might be a bit higher, but it does look like overclocking is becoming near useless. I think manufacturers need to rethink their focus choices. In the past, "OC" meant 5%, 10% or 15% more performance. With that gone, I think they need to find "something" more to justify higher prices other than looks.
But who knows, maybe it's just Nvidia waiting to take over the entire market :P

The answer is simple...The one You can actually buy. I haven't seen a single one available here in Poland since launch. All taken in reservation from major retailers.

Also, the 3070 is not a "mid-range" GPU, maybe because of Nvidia's new price points, but it's still a high end if you look at the entire field of retail cards.

Whatever is the most efficient is the best....Asus Strix OC version overall, Asus TUFF is a good no frills version. ZOTAC trinity OC for performance if you dont mind running a personal heater.

All the reviewers combined probably have most of NVIDIA 30 series cards supply currently available. xD
Already did the FE 2 days ago, seperate NDA and such.
As for stock, I know they're shipping 1000s of these in the EU alone. It's just not enough to meet demand.
I always choose with two HDMI 2.1 even Pillars of Eternity 2 in 4k UHD HDR 10 look much better on expensive TV than on any monitor that I could see DP are totally unimportant on higher tear cards which percentage of users combine it with monitor always wondered why 3 DP ports
maybe you should take a closer look next time, the Gigabyte RTX 3070 Gaming OC has 2 HDMI and 2 DP inputs...

The dimensions for ROG and MSi is not accurate, paper says MSi is longer 323mm while ROG is 318.5mm. but in the video @7:43mins.. ROG is longer?

I was talking to a Canadian friend the other day about RUclips reviews on rtx 3000 cards, while it's true that founders reviews are super helpful and super welcome, we feel that AIBs reviews specially when done several at the same time isn't helpful at all, with the lack of stock basically you can't chose which card you're going to buy, but rather the one you can get ahold to, not to mention it's a bit annoying that AIBs sent a while lot of cards to RUclipsrs when having such low inventories, I don't think AIBs care too much about their consumers (ps not blaming RUclipsrs)
For now, that's probably true. But the RTX 3070 will be relevant for ~2 years +, so I want this content to be as well.
As for AIBs sending a "lot" of cards. To put stuff in perspective, often local offices only get ~1 unit or so. They'll then have to use that one unit to try and get some reviews, use it for sales, etcetera. It's not as simple as any AIB sending out dozens of cards randomly to "youtubers". Hope that explains it a bit :)
