I have just got this and I will be putting a video up on my channel showing the build in my Ncase M1 soon. If there is anything you want to know, drop me a comment when O get the video up.
It's in my computer for the past two days. I can tell I'm delighted with it. Very silent, performances are great and temps are stellar (it rarely hits more than 67°C under load). I undervolted it to 915mv and nearly decreased its power consumption by 30% (around 227W on max load, aka 4K gaming and intensive Stable Diffusion).
Complements on your rhetorical skills - no "uhm"s etc., clean argumentation and exactly the information I was looking for - I really enjoyed this video :)

Very grateful for these reviews, and such a big unit set at once! Something I loved from your 4080 reviews that I really missed here is the temperature comparison with noise romalized. That way I was able to get an idea of cooling performance despite the reported noise levels. Basically to see which card is the quietest with the custom temp curves I will give them. Another thing that would be awesome would be to see softwares, or at least talk about any specific issues you found with them.
noise comparison/temps being the thing that matters most between different models of the same card, is amazing to have. great job! would've loved to see the even smaller (shorter and narrower) asus proart, asus noctua, zotac trinity and zotac amp included. almost only those seem to fit my case. it's still great to see though, thanks for the great info
I can't justify spending almost $3k CAD on a 4090 so this only makes sense ESPECIALLY considering I'd only get maybe 20 more FPS in 4K. Now I want to make sure I am getting the best value 4080 Super on the market. Great video.
I got the Gainward Panther 4080 Super, that was the cheapest, and quite happy with it. It is cool and quiet. It is almost the same as Palit in the video (they own Gainward).
They are pretty much same card. They using same heatsink/cooler on both cards, they weight same and have same dimensions. Btw i ordered gainward 4080s panther OC today too. Price here in czech republic is really good. Even better price/perf than 80% of 4070TI supers. No brainer for me.
My first impression of the Inno3D card was, "damn that is a slick looking card". Then I found out it still is a 2 slot card, just seems small besides the other monsters.😅
I would stay away from the Gigabyte Gaming OC for a few reasons as I did owned one, but was sent back due to being faulty. I previously had a MSI 4080 Ventus OC, that I gave to my son to upgrade his 3080. The Gig was a lot bigger compared to the MSI 4080, and EVGA 3080 FTW, but was very light in weight, and ran hotter compared to both of them. As, stated the Gig was returned due to constant crashing no matter what I tried. After returning the card, I picked up a ASUS 4080 Super Pro Art. This card has been in my system for a bout 2 months with no issues. It is as small if not smaller then the 3080 FTW, and runs cooler. I do not usually like Asus products, but this card has worked great.
Buy 4080 which, all other things being equal, has the best element base. In the case of the 4080, these are cards from vendors: "Founders Edition" and "Asus Strix", low-quality thermal pads and dry thermal paste on the GPU of which can be easily replaced with high-quality ones. In the case of the 4090, these are already 3 vendors with the highest quality components: "Founders Edition", "Asus Strix", "MSI Suprim". Other vendors of RTX 4080-4090 have a "mid-low" quality components, even if one of them has some better numbers of GPU , memory and hot spot temperatures.
THANK YOU, I'm looking at the "ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER White OC Edition Gaming Graphics Card PCIe 4.0, 16GB GDDR6X" The White looks really good in the case and and the FPS, and Temps you showed made me look up the reviews. People are really happy and It's just a solid card. Price just dropped and with the Nvidia 5090 coming out, $$$ is going to drop again.
You made me look it up, and it is a really cool card, and I need something solid, and dependable in my life with 2024 things going on, I need some stability in my life again. LOL
I like the Strix series, I had the Strix 3070, Strix 4070 and now the Strix 4080 Super OC. The actual clockspeed when overclocking it runs stable at more than 3000MHz, with the memoryclock overclocked at +1000MHz

We are using the Windforce version from Gigabyte in our smaller server cases - performance is close enough to the top to make no sense in dealing with the extra bulk and heat generated.

My motherboard didn't need any support stand for the RTX 3080, so no need for it with MSI RTX 4080 Super OC Ventus x3 either but I putted the no good support bracket on anyway. Just for looks. Where I live prices don't make any sense. Cards like the Gaming OC cost 400-500 dollars more than what a PNY or Palit card costs, even if it is supposed to be just $50 above MSRP. GPU prices are to volatile and demand is way too high, if you're buying a 4080 S you most likely will have to buy the one that is available or the cheaper one. Just as an example, here a MSI Expert costs $1250 but the Suprim X is being sold by $1500, and the difference in performance really does not justify an extra $250, specially when with that difference you could go for a i9 instead of an i7, or simply buying more storage or better memory.
it's good to have choice though and there's more of a difference than just performance. there are all the different specs and how they made the card work and different quality and rating parts they have. also, the look and the rgb etc. etc. having a choice is great and it always has been great, there have been many very expensive cards long before now.
I'm literally watching this right now on the Asus Tuf Gaming OC card. I love it. It's a great upgrade from my RTX 3070. But yes - it's HUUUUGE! Get a 90 degree 16 pin cable for it though or you're going to be angry while trying to get your case covers on! I run it with the LEDs in Smart mode so the CPU and GPU temps are color synced and so far aside from initial boot nothing I throw at it can get it out of the green and most of that is without the fans even unparking which it doesn't do until over 54C. It normal runs between 34C and 52C no matter what. I can't get into noise because it's never pushed to high fan speed and because my Velox case is a tank with glass side panels so I never hear anything out of anything anyway.
I may actually be getting the TUF Gaming 4070 Ti BTF edition. No cable to worry about, and it'll complement a nice white build with the TUF Gaming BTF motherboard and a white Corsair 6500 case.
Great video! This helped me make my choice. I'll be getting the Gigabyte model simply because of the recessed connector. I don't like RGB, but I assume I can just turn it off.
the 4080 super fe is legit crazy tbh, it has 4090 cooling is rly good for a fe card, if you get it you are pretty guaranteed to get the best components inside because nvidia legit handpick things for the fe AND its the cheapest you can get because its msrp. I found stocks on nvidia website today in france and bought it instantly at 1109euro msrp while the cheapest aib you can get (which is WORSE than the fe edition) is 120euro more expensive
I went for the Asus ProArt custom, similar pricing (1.108€, port included), but my experience with the 3080Ti FE and its noisy fans dissuaded me to go for a FE model again. Is the 4080 Super FE having the same noise profile? What I really liked about the ProArt is how silent it operate (on top of the 2,5 slots design), clear recommendation. 👌
according to all the reviews ive watched and read before pulling the trigger, 4080s fs is dead silent considering it has 4090 cooler so the fan never needs to go fast, But honestly i think they should be about the same and id just pick one over the other according to price or desing if u have some money to spare @@jaxbade
@@Shengguo0 As far as I can tell, the ProArt is a very silent card. I use it undervolted at 915mV and it's barely reaching 210W, 65°C or emitting any sound under load (4K gaming and Stable Diffusion). I have to stick my ear to the computer case to hear something, and I'm not even sure it's not my Arctic AIO from which I hear the fans. 😂
Now this is what I want. Let's face it, the general class of gpu one will get is pretty easy to figure out with the budget limits but which model... that's a tougher one.
The MSI temps weren't as good because of their "Silent gaming" thing. The cooler kicks in only after 60C or something, on minimal speed. The fan curve is just bad, imho. I redefined the fan curve in MSI Afterburner and the temp is 56-58C on full load.
I bought an ASUS TUF 4080S a week ago. I just called Memory Express and told them to call me when they get one in, as I did several times successfully during the mining nonsense (they were still selling at MSRP...profits paid for this and my last card). They have been selling out as fast as they come in. Cost me $1,369 CAD ($1,000 USD). I only buy TUF cards now as they are clearly the best for price/performance, they run cool, and they're all-metal. Palit cards aren't available in many countries. OC cards are a complete waste of cash. I was surprised how much bigger it is than the ASUS TUF 4070ti (that I gave to my son). That card was wider, but the exact same length and weight as his TUF 3060ti. He's also running it in his system with an EVGA 550W PS (with a 5600) on a B450 board, and no issues at 1440p. I have an EVGA 750W PSU with a 5800X3D. Say what you will about Nvidia, they have done magical work keeping the 30 and now 40 series very power efficient.
4080 SUPER RTX OC White Zotac - Overclocks +150/+1200 and doesn't go above 65C at 50% fan speed in intensive games! It's awesome and with 5 year UK RMA warranty
i have the black zotac and im suprised with how nice it can get undervolted and still overclocked while being almost silent and cool af. I didnt really like the design at first, but damn.

A vendor inclusive and comprehensive review. An awesome job Nada 😉 🎉🎉
Very clear and well conducted review!
Hello fellow friends who just spent money and are waiting for their 4080 super to arrive in the mail
She said that the two Gigabyte cards were virtually the same, but the difference in Memory Temp was huge. How come?
i have the 4080 asus its very nice good for minecraft with mods, and other games
I may actually be getting the TUF Gaming 4070 Ti BTF edition. No cable to worry about, and it'll complement a nice white build with the TUF Gaming BTF motherboard and a white Corsair 6500 case.
This vid really helped me out with my choice. Thank you!
Watching this just before starting my built for the first time with the MSI RTX 4080 Super Gaming X Slim White !!!
i have the 4080 super Jetstream OC Palit .. loving it. Its super quiet and performs very well in every game. Paired it with an i7-14700KF
Does yours default to 67% after boot?
@@micheledeliberato8675 please explain exactly what you mean :-)
according to all the reviews ive watched and read before pulling the trigger, 4080s fs is dead silent considering it has 4090 cooler so the fan never needs to go fast, But honestly i think they should be about the same and id just pick one over the other according to price or desing if u have some money to spare @@jaxbade
i even saw some guys saying the proart 4080s super runs hotter and noisier than the fe on reddit but id take that with a grian of salt honestly
Love you and your work here! Thank you
Glad it's appreciated!
Say what you will about Nvidia, they have done magical work keeping the 30 and now 40 series very power efficient.
i could never recover from this ,if i bought one or two abd she is on another level dayum
I just did a build for a 4080super from PNY and it’s amazing
Lol, subtle yet suggestive at the same time. Clever.
Am i the only one of the few ones who is watching a Female pc parts reviewer?? This is new to me, I'm 38 n never rly found any good female who does good reviews on any such Category, but this one here is a solid 8 outta 10 on reviewing this stuff.... on point, good useful info, facts. I'm loving her / your videos. Amazing job!
I am a non binairy person (born as a man) and I like a female review. Non of the bullshit but neutral info. Far less tell sell vibes.
Great content, you just won an ardent follower today 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for the great video! I feel like ever since Nvidia came up with their FE cards, nobody tested/compared partner cards in such a way. But during the benchmark section of the video I realized why. They're basically the same 😅
If I were to save up for a 4080S, I'd most likely get the MSI Suprim X, great aesthetics while being relatively cool&quiet
Just got the Palit Jetstream. Thanks 💯
I can't believe she didn't say "We are going to see how these cards stack up to the competition 😅".
Yeah... but, this would be much better if it have been consider the MSI - GAMING X TRIO, and/or the MSI - Ventus 3X OC and/or the MSI - Gaming X Slim.
idk if this counts towards my yearly simping allowance, but its refreshing hearing a lady spew these tech numbers for once.
I'll take the compliment, thanks! :)
Always super crisp video quality with these videos
Thank you!
