I watched almost every game he played. He probably could have won at least two rings, three would be pushing it...He always made the bonehead mistakes and sometimes he never had the defense to support him. I miss watching him.
I remember watching him take over in 2006 and instantly feeling better about the qb position. I was like finally we got one. Just took forever to give him a consistent running game which is what ALL Super Bowl caliber qb’s had
One of only 2 times in his career to have 1,000+ yards and 10+ TDs three straight years. He did it also in SF, but it took 7 years. With Romo, it only took 3 years.
I also wanted to note that I am aware that there is a error about somewhere in the 2014 season mark. There were so many clips I used I accidentally used the wrong one so don't worry that was my fault and I apologize for that.
The biggest mistake Laurent Robinson made was he finally made an outstanding connection with a very good QB; He had one great year and then took the first big contract that cane along......and disappeared. He should have stayed and who knows? He might have ended up being Tony's Go-To WR, developed his game more and ended up a Dallas legend. Instead he took the immediate gratification and ended his career. Sometimes taking less & staying put with a QB who's got a connection with you is worth it. If you make it big in Dallas (and Texas, since that it's State) then you're gonna get all kinds of marketing deals and you could easily build a 2nd career there. I don't know why every player doesn't want to play here.
Good Job. A lot of highlight and mixed format clips though. If I get a chance this month I will make the video in HD and use all the cowboys radio broadcasts for each touchdown. I have posted most on my channel already and you used a few of them in the vid.
I love what you do in terms of the radio broadcasts with the highlights and I’ve been subscribed for years. I do want to let you know I have not used any of your channel footage whatsoever. I swear my life on it, I am aware that there are some instances where it’s mixed. But as I was gathering the footage I never went to your channel to get the highlights. I don’t want to get things twisted.
I don't get some fans. There are throws Romo made that Dak couldn't make even on his best day and Dak zealots insist he's as good as or better than Romo. Romo's head and shoulders better, it's not even close.
That's because they hate Romo, and do not understand what team means. Prescott just throws very simplistic passes, high school level. That's his range. With defensive rules and dbs playing 10-20 yards back now, a trash qb like Prescott can put up crazy numbers.
Romo was so great! this is what we are missing right now, some electrifying touchdowns. Romo made moves to make sure to get touchdown. He kept us in most games even if we lost them; the games were fun to watch. He did so much even though he didn't have a great offense offline. The defense was also non-existent. He made crayton and Austin into great Wrs.
1. Staubach 2. Romo 3. Aikeman 4. Dak 5. White 6. Merideth 7. Bledsoe The rest don't matter. FACTZ. Romo is second to me because he could make every throw in the book and could make somethin out of nuthin. Also he's over Troy because of pure stats, Troy had the Great Wall of Dallas from 1991 - 99. Romo had his Wall only for one season 2014 ( 2016 Dak took over). He just threw ints at the wrong time. He should of took us to the playoffs in 2008. 2011 - 2013. Miss'em.
Dak is not ahead of White and Meredith, put any of those qbs you mentioned on the current cowboys team against the current trash defenses and rules in the nfl, and they would dominating every team.
People blame Romo for the 2007 loss but let's be honest that offense wasn't playing like it did all year. Romo was hitting receivers in the hands and chest or spots that are open but drops and missed opportunities.
@@thegorn68 This was before Romo made all offensive calls, so he was just following what the OC wanted. Barber was the oddest back in the league as he would run like an elite runner then have games he was just eh. Romo suffered from Jerry's wants from the team.
@@thegorn68 it’s because Barber was worn out. The biggest mistake they made in that game was starting Barber. They had gone 13-3 and scored 455 points with Jones as the starter and Barber as the closer. Had Barber been fresh like he usually was in the 2nd half he wears the defense out and they win.
Crayton dropped 2 open passes (one a td), then for a game winner Crayton wide open got confused and stuttered for no reason, and the ball just went over his head. Then TO dropping a 50 yarder through his arms in the second half. Then Witten dropping a wide open important first down on third down. (I watched the game recently that's why I remember these things). These were all very simple pop Warner level catches. And just getting 1 would have probably won the game, 2 of those many wide open drops would have been a win for sure. Romo also was making these insanely beautiful clutch passes, while running for his life.
I loved watching Romo play. I miss the Boys having a Qb who could hit a Wr in stride. Romo was a phenomenal talent. Jerry Jones stated his biggest mistake was not putting a better team around Romo in his prime. I couldn't agree more!
I support Dak too, but I'll wait until his career is over before the anointing oil is put forth. While I hope he'll do great things, I'm going to go out on a limb.... Tony Romos records don't have anything to worry about. I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see these records being broken anytime soon. However, I don't want to jinx our cowboys, but a superbowl would be nice. That's the only record Dak will need to break. Lol
I went to my first Cowboys game during the preseason of 2004. I saw a young 4th string QB come into the game and I thought he was wearing #8 from my nosebleed seat. I immediately wanted him booted from the team for daring to wear Troy Aikman's #. Then the fan sitting behind me heard me fussing to my friends about the perceived injustice when he stated that's not #8, that's #9. After that #9 led 3 straight scoring drives while making some very impressive throws. At the end of the game I toasted with that fan and said, to the future starting QB of the Dallas Cowboys...#9.
My biggest what-if’s are what if TO played in 2009 alongside Austin, giving teams another big play threat to worry about, and what if Laurent Robison was kept around long enough to be part of the 2014 offense. That would’ve just been unfair to the rest of the league. Tony was always asked to do more with less, and against all odds, he found a way to do it.
Sorry to criticize because I love the effort (just like Romo) but you missed his first official TD pass. It was to TO in garbage time against the Texans before the Giants game, which is the only Cowboys game I've ever been to.
@@SpaceCowboyMED sorry, I started watching it late last night but decided to watch it in full today. It must've continued instead of starting over. Great Job!
It would be highlights of dropped passes and Romo getting hit 100 times a game. Just take his last two playoff appearances, where he was sacked 18 times, plus breaking tons of tackles to avoid more sacks.
His failures were magnified and his big games were overlooked. But if you step back and look at his overall work, you will see a HOF worthy quarterback.
My fave TD was when Romo spun out of tackle from Watts. Watts was pouting like a girl the afternoon of the press conference. Wouldnt be so hard on Watts if he at least gave Romo props for an epic play
Someone needs to make a video of the times when Romo had the game won, but someone else managed to lose it. Missed/blocked FGs, game ending 1st downs dropped, dropped TDs, TDs called back, the defense giving up an epic drive to lose..... That's just from memory. There were other ways that the Cowboys lost the game for him.
I wouldn’t say he always chocked when it counted but I don’t get why Cowboy fans were so in love with him.........You really can’t even be considered a good QB if you have a grand total of two playoff wins your entire career.....Plus you have so many fans saying he carried the Cowboys for so many years........These highlights pretty much dispels that theory........He played with T.O., Witten and a host of all offensive players at their peak including Dez Bryant.......Even with the suspect defensive play at times, Romo should have at least gotten to an NFC Championship game.
@@DM-xt3rl so we agree except for chocking but missing the hold on the field goal 🥅 and throwing a pick in a playoff game. And going on a cruise with Jessica instead of preparing for playoff game. I’d consider chocking but that is just my opinion.
@@TheMrMurf 😂😂😂.......Yeah going on a cruise with Witten and then girlfriend Jessica Simpson was a big mistake on Romo’s part........That 2007 team had a lot of talent on both sides of the ball.........The Cowboys took the Giants for granted in that divisional game. In fact they just knew that they were on a collision course with the Patriots in the Super Bowl that year. It may very well have been a shoot out but the Patriots complete the perfect season if they had played the Cowboys.........That said I don’t think you can blame Romo for the 2014 playoff game. Murray fumbling when they were driving to basically put the game away was the dagger. The Dez Bryant “catch” would not have mattered.........So I agree with the chocking label of Romo to a point.
@@TheMrMurf people like to talk about that interception vs the giants as if there wasn't 16 seconds on the clock on 4th in 11. I can't believe people are blaming anyone besides patrick crayton on that loss. Yall don't even remember the number of dropped passes in that game. And how patrick crayton slowed his route on 3rd down which would've won them the game had he kept running his route. The only real fuckups by romo were the hold and his interception vs the redskins back in 2012. Romo grew into a great player but by the time he reached his prime his body couldn't take it anymore from the constant beating over the years behind a shit offensive line throughout 2011-2013. Romo carried that shit franchise. It's amazing how unappreciative yall are. He stopped your team from being 4-12 year after year and kept every game close. Cowboys defense never failed to blow a lead.
If you just read headlines, you would think that Romo is a choker. Nothing is further from the truth. But, one important note first. Romo's career as a QB seems to be defined by the haters from a play when he was not a QB, which makes no sense. Yes, there are games that the Cowboys lost directly because of him, but not nearly as many as most people think. A good example are 7 games in which he had 17 TDs, 4 ints, 104 passer rating, and led the Cowboys to an average of 28 points. Why these 7 games? They were all losses in 2013. They were losses because the defense allowed an average of 37 points/game and an opposing passer rating of 117. How bad was it? The average QB had a passer rating 25 points higher against the Cowboys than the rest of their schedule. The defense allowed 4 of those 7 QBs to have 4 TDs. 3 QBs had 400 yards and a 4th had 392. This was the year Megatron had 329 in a single game. The defense didn't force a single punt against the Broncos and Bears. Despite that horrible defense, Romo still almost won 5/7 games. But, all fingers pointed to him as the problem. Meanwhile Eli Manning is carried through 2 playoffs by a defense that only allowed 15.1 points/game, none over 20 points, and an opposing passer rating of 74. Eli still barely manages to win 5/8 games. 2 of those 5 wins went to overtime in which Eli was a complete non factor in the game winning drives that he received credit for. For those 7 combined plays, he was 0/1, 0 yards and was given "game winning drives". In spite of it all, Eli is called a playoff genius. Neither headline is remotely accurate. And this is typical of Romo's career. There were a lot of games in which the Cowboys were set up to win when someone else screwed up badly, even the 2006 playoffs in Seattle, but when Romo couldn't overcome the mistake, he was blamed. During Romo's time no one had more game winning drives or 1,000 yards receivers. He was injured quite a bit, but it brings something else to light. When Romo played, The Cowboys won 61.4% of his games. When he was out through 2015, that same team only won 30%. Even when they brought in Matt Cassel, who took the 2008 Brady-less Patriots to 11-5, he could only go 1-6. In 2015, Romo only played 4 games and accounted for 75% of the wins that year. Romo only had 8 full seasons. In those years, he was 8/8 top 10 passer rating. Had a league leading 113 passer rating in 2014 and was an MVP candidate, but lost out to Rogers who only threw 4 interceptions all year. Once had 35 TDs in a season, but came in second to Brady who had 50. And many RBs and receivers has some of their best years with Romo. But, when they went to another team or Dak, their numbers took a hit.
Yeah crazy how things can go when you spend all but 1 year with a trash oline, and all but 2 year's with a top 15 run game. And all but 2-3 years with a none trash defense. Romo went 2 playoffs in a row tying the 4 most sacked in nfl history playoffs games. Despite breaking tons of tackles to prevent alot more sacks. The fact that he never had a losing record in a season is astounding.
Tony Romo is super underrated. He was really good, and definitely one of the best QBs to ever play the game.

@@devinrogers7978 he never had the defense he needed. And only got an O Line in 2014
I remember watching him take over in 2006 and instantly feeling better about the qb position. I was like finally we got one. Just took forever to give him a consistent running game which is what ALL Super Bowl caliber qb’s had
Good job with this video as I bet it took you a while to put this all together along with the great thumbnail as well too
It did lol. Thank you!
Didn't know T O had one of his most productive periods with the Cowboys...
One of only 2 times in his career to have 1,000+ yards and 10+ TDs three straight years. He did it also in SF, but it took 7 years. With Romo, it only took 3 years.
Damn I love the sound of the train horn after each TD in the Dallas Stadium
Same
I also wanted to note that I am aware that there is a error about somewhere in the 2014 season mark. There were so many clips I used I accidentally used the wrong one so don't worry that was my fault and I apologize for that.
Can you do Patrick Crayton
Romo - T.O.
Romo - Bryant
Romo - Witten
When will the Cowboys return to such greatness and excitement? 😭
The nfl isn't exciting anymore, as defenses get worse and more rules, offense is not required to do so exciting plays.
If I was old enough to watch 11:09 on that type of screen I woulda thought Romo was a magician
Never heard from the guy after that
So many RBs and receivers had their best years with Romo.
Tony Romo was one heck of a QB! Tremendously underrated!
T.O. was a beast. Should've had a longer career here
I always say that too. Imagine if he played out that 4 year deal. Dez would have been lined up with him.
He did as he always did though, he self imploded.
@@alexandermoreno2409 imagine if dallas had drafted moss in '98, like it was rumored they were gonna.
@@SpaceCowboyMED It's cool if you do and thx for subscribing. If you need any editing help let me know, I'm happy to help.
Timmy Johnson thank you very much!
I don't get some fans. There are throws Romo made that Dak couldn't make even on his best day and Dak zealots insist he's as good as or better than Romo. Romo's head and shoulders better, it's not even close.
Because Romo was in his ear, notice Dak hasn't had a season as good as his rookie season.
He made crayton and Austin into great Wrs.
wow, I always thought Romo was with Dallas before TO came into the picture.
He was, as a backup.
T.O. was so damn fast man, wow
Wow amazing 😍
Dez caught the ball
This dude could ball man. He played with so many greats that he couldn't get past
RIP Terry Glenn
Add Marion Barber and Gavin Escobar to that list. Damn.
1. Staubach 2. Romo 3. Aikeman 4. Dak 5. White 6.
You're gonna ruffle some 🪶 😂
1:25 rip to both
People blame Romo for the 2007 loss but let's be honest that offense wasn't playing like it did all year.
Gosh... i miss Romo. It is whay it is.
Man can you just imagine Romo with this offense and defense today!!! No disrespect to DAK!!
greatest cowboy quarterback ever
You need to do a TD compilation for Jason Witten
cowboys best qb .helped average recievers get big contracts with other teams ..never to be heard from again
Man you might be right here!
Tony was a very good quarterback!.. I wish he would of took us to the BIG DANCE..
The romo and owens duo might be the most underrated qb wr duo in the history of the nfl
I loved watching Romo play. I miss the Boys having a Qb who could hit a Wr in stride. Romo was a phenomenal talent. Jerry Jones stated his biggest mistake was not putting a better team around Romo in his prime. I couldn't agree more!
First of all, Mahomes is inhuman. I'll be 59 y.o. this year. I've never in my life seen a QB that could work the pocket like Romo did.
T. O. was such a phenom. 😮
I had kinda forgotten.
Romo to T.O. Are you kidding me? That was pretty!
Blame Jerry for how that turned out 🤦🏽♀️
The Best of Romo!!!!! The Best Team!!!
Tony Romo is the GOAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wak Prescott will NEVER amount to Romo! Love the Romo time period!
What 2 playoff wins @ squarebody88
I support Dak too, but I'll wait until his career is over before the anointing oil is put forth. While I hope he'll do great things, I'm going to go out on a limb.... Tony Romos records don't have anything to worry about. I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see these records being broken anytime soon.
However, I don't want to jinx our cowboys, but a superbowl would be nice. That's the only record Dak will need to break. Lol
I remember Patrick Crayton, but who the heck was Tony Curtis? That guy was ballin!!!
what an amazing game
I went to my first Cowboys game during the preseason of 2004. I saw a young 4th string QB come into the game and I thought he was wearing #8 from my nosebleed seat. I immediately wanted him booted from the team for daring to wear Troy Aikman's #. Then the fan sitting behind me heard me fussing to my friends about the perceived injustice when he stated that's not #8, that's #9. After that #9 led 3 straight scoring drives while making some very impressive throws. At the end of the game I toasted with that fan and said, to the future starting QB of the Dallas Cowboys...#9.
Aikman wasn't even that good lol, he was carried by a good team. plus he's a dick
@@ItsVes999 This opinion isn't very good lol, it's ignorant and lazy, plus it's a dick
Yes he scored several TDs for us... but it been so much better if T.O. didn't stand on the ☆ when he did.. but that's jus my thoughts! #StayBlessed
As a Giants fan, I did not like him, but hats off to Romo for a great career.
I don't care what anyone says, Tony Romo was a Hall of Fame level talent.
Sorry to criticize because I love the effort (just like Romo) but you missed his first official TD pass. It was to TO in garbage time against the Texans before the Giants game, which is the only Cowboys game I've ever been to.
Umm... that’s in the video. It’s literally at the very beginning.
@@SpaceCowboyMED sorry, I started watching it late last night but decided to watch it in full today. It must've continued instead of starting over. Great Job!

T.O had such a unique running style.
Literally the best Qb we ever had
was this man ever out of a game?
too bad it's not every Tony Romo playoff win 😢
I did both of them😭
It would be highlights of dropped passes and Romo getting hit 100 times a game. Just take his last two playoff appearances, where he was sacked 18 times, plus breaking tons of tackles to avoid more sacks.
@@thecensoredmuscle563 completely agree
29:00 reminds me of something
my goat
His failures were magnified and his big games were overlooked. But if you step back and look at his overall work, you will see a HOF worthy quarterback.
Miles Austin is a name i haven't heard in a very long time.
What would have romo have been w/o T.O.. i don't even like the guy but he was a beast
I miss Tony 😔 I’d take him any year of his career over Dak
😭"that's my quarterback"
-Terrell Owens
How many times do they call owens name? Dang
all of these average receivers whose stock surged playing with romo...
and who has dak propped up even a little? blake jarwin? dalton shultz?
My daughter's hero
Romo didn't get the advantage of consistent play from the run like Troy did, If Tony had that he would had at least one SB win
Romo only had a running game in the top 15 only twice. 09 and 14.
Imagine if Romo and TO had that 2014 offensive line....
He would have thrown 40+ TDs in 2007.
Has there ever been a more athletic, talented QB? There aren't many.
Most underrated QB in NFL history. Most hated QB in NFL history.
Dak is catching up on the hated part.
The fact that Romo career was wasted, makes me hella atrabilious
Life long Cowboy fan! Tattooed Cowboy fan! Never EVER LIKED ROMO! Always chocked when it counted!
Give me one example where a healthy not injured Romo choked at the qb position (not field goal holder)?
So 10 years and never got us to an NFC championship or pass division round just geart
Making the team Romo-Friendly killed this guy's career.
Jerry's kids have ruined a lot of careers in Dallas.
Someone really misses his Romo! LMAO 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
