Hello! I think what he said is good, although it sounds atypical for our time. But you are not very precise in your words. He didn't say "only". But in many interviews, he said that he liked the trumpet and that he fell in love with Timofey Dokshitzer's sound. And he didn't really like playing the piano. So the change of instrument (for health reasons) was very pleasant for him.
