Nakariakov plays the trumpet like an angel. His control and sheer brilliance are incomparable! Bravo Sergei for giving us so much pleasure and transporting us!
I'm a clarinetist, and no matter how many times I hear this, it's always amazing. When you can play this piece, you know you've joined a short list of greats.
@@elija8606 Wynton is a supremely well rounded player, but for classical styles I much prefer Sergei Nakariakov. But I would say it is a matter of taste. As well as Wynton plays on everything, to me he is still primarily a jazz musician
@@garyleming3820 He is a jazz musician, but he studied classical music too, so he can be considered a classical player. And yes, it is a matter of taste
Rafael Mendez surpasses Nakariakov's technique and musicality...period...end of story...Go Listen to Moto Perpetuo, Haydn Trumpet Concerto, Mendelssohn's Concerto, Scherzo in D Minor, La Virgen de la Macarena, just to name a few. Then go and ask Nakariakov and he will tell you that Rafael Mendez is his idol.
Perhaps one of the best musical interpretations of this well known piece. Sergei masters every aspect but unlike many other virtuosos who have also attempted this, Sergei exudes an unmatched melodical expression...almost of dance between the horn and the music. Such a pleasant performance instead of the usual brutal double tonguing attack most performers engage with. This would make Rafael Mendez proud!
If I hadn't seen it I would have swore that there were 2 trumpet players. I played the trumpet too, but didn't think it was even possible to do what he has done. Simply marvelous !!
Just his opening notes at 0:31 made me involuntarily weep with pleasure. The delivery, the sound, the phrasing are so magical and like no other rendition of this piece that I've heard. Then come the fireworks and they are literally breathtaking
A virtuoso performance beyond description! Even Arban could not imagine that his music would ever be performed at this level. Bravissimo great maestro!
I’ve heard many great soloists played this piece wonderfully. But I have to say, I think this was the greatest fourth variation (the “finale”) I have ever heard. He really was emphasizing the main theme in that flurry of 16th notes better than anyone I have heard.
Has anyone pointed out that he uses the lowest pressure against the mouthpiece? It's like perfect. It's almost as if the mouthpiece is hovering just off his lips
4:20 You can tell he goes to different manners , as he was clumpsy and heavy ( like an elephant) and right after that his sound goes as Fluffy and light as it was before ( birds), right after is like if You are hearing the whole circus of animals arriving
Amazing, he seems to be playing the same trumpet from years ago when he exploded into the world as a prodigy. Goes to show how much of it is the talent, THEN the equipment :)
I love any and all Nakariakov interpretations, so unlike anything herd anywhere else! And holy moly, var. 4 went absolutely crazy! I wish I could get it half as fast and half as clean!
I started to play out of the Arban in 7th grade. Finished by 9th. Full ride trumpet major in college. What does it take? Play this 1,000 times! Now you might have the technique down. Then another 1,000 times to develop your own sound! In HS we played this with 1 finger to make it more interesting! But to stand up and perform it perfectly like this requires huge effort and monster talent! No substitution for hard sustained work!
Brad Stewart I agree with your statement. It’s hard to get any better than this. It basically absolute perfection except maybe certain interpretation differences. My issue with this one is the final variation is the blattiness of the accented notes. I’m sure he could play this section any way he likes but his over accentuation is not the delicate style I’m used to hearing on cornet solos. Maybe because I always have used Gerard Schwarz as the measuring stick for cornet solos. Have you heard Rafael Mendez rendition. It’s one of the few pieces that he plays without his classic Spanish tone and flair. And it’s no surprise his rendition is flawless as well.
His flexibility and tounging is truly astounding as well as his control and endurance.Sheer virtuosity .
But his sound tho 🤩
His trumpet tone is so lyrical and expressive, evoking the singing of a tenor. Absolutely beautiful!
Quelle finesse et quelle virtuosité. A great success. Bravo depuis Montréal.

And this guy was playing this stuff at 12.
What I think hearing clarinets in jazz. They sound so good! Such a beautiful sounding instrument. Edit - sorry, trumpet player here. Mutual respect.
His technique and musicality is beyond compare. No one else comes close. Bravo Nakariakov!
Wynton plays is much more beautifully in my opiniom
@@elija8606 Wynton is a supremely well rounded player, but for classical styles I much prefer Sergei Nakariakov. But I would say it is a matter of taste. As well as Wynton plays on everything, to me he is still primarily a jazz musician
Gary Leming not at the time he was playing music like this, you don’t get a Grammy for classical performance for nothing...

I searched on RUclips.

He does this so effortlessly so wonderfully so amazingly. Thanks for sharing this!!
5:59 can't imagine how the sound of two trumpets could be made from one.
humming or polyphonics whatever that means
hes not playing 2 notes, hes just playing really really fast
This is double tonguing.

Роскошно, изящно, элегантно! Атмосфера карнавала, праздника🎉
Neben der unübertroffenen Virtuosität sehr gefühlvoll gespielt. Herzlichen Dank für dieses wundervolle Erlebnis!
This guy has perfected this by now like he’s been playing this song for YEARS
Well, he has been playing it for years! Even when he was a kid

16th notes? I meant 32nd notes.
I cannot name another player who can do this to this degree, it' truly mind-boggling.
The tempo is crazy! Such a brilliant performance. Thank you for sharing.
Сергей - мастер мирового масштаба! Приятно ощущать себя его соотечественником. Желаю успехов в творчестве!

This has been recorded by some of the most famous trumpet/cornet soloist, and this is by far the best I have heard.
Непростительный монтаж¡

The freedom in this guy's play is magnificent. There are no points at all where it seems like he's struggling in the slightest.
I know! He's something else, very special Indeed.
