@@TyroneMcknight-h2s I live in New Mexico and an is300 that has under 200K miles is $8K minimum. The gs300 is a little better at around $6K, but that's still a bit too much, imo. A few years ago, these same cars were going for $3K.
If you are having slow response codes on your B1S1 and B2S1 try rellocating them to the headers (just like how it would be stock), it works on alot of stock ecu builds!

I'm researching a not as cheap 2nd Gen IS300/IS250 purchase to drive & do a single turbo on. Looks sano for a budget build. IMO the down pipe alone looks like it cost $300-$500. I've done a few Bimmers. Tired of them & everyone has one. IMO BMW's are like butterflies. Pretty to look @ modded, but ridiculously fragile. Want something driveable & mildly different. Good vid. My IS300 was in an accident and damaged the rear quarter panel so now i'm just going to beat on it until it gives out. The only thing that wasn't in stock was the wastegate though on ebay, you got a link for another one? Also post more vids!

Dude I fuck with the build heavy! Shit is hardcore asf mf said he has e46 brake pedal but a gm master cylinder pedal. And that heat shield is straight lava
So the cat stock has 4 o2 sensors. I only have one connected and plugged into the exhaust. The other 3 are not connected and sensor not plugged into harness. But at the ecu pins to harness. I added 4 pins to all signal wire inputs from o2 sensors and wired them all together, so that all o2 sensors share signal. This worked for a bit with no check engine light but I currently have 3 CEL’s for the 3 o2 sensors not plugged in. My idea is to ground all 3 connectors also from the empty o2 sensor harnesses and then it will hopefully be CEL free

Here in the UK IS200s (1GFE 🏳️🌈) are the cheapest rwd J car. Our IS300s are all autos. Ghetto turbo or blower swaps are common. Seen those take death boost with OE fuel/IGN and run happy for a long time.

Gte wont fit on lexus so make sure you ordered the one that theres currently a link to or a similar one for GE. And yeah I used the same adapter but welded it on to save energy of messing with it ever again. Cars still running great I drove it to a meet yesterday 30 min away and beat the shit out of it on the way back.

Works fine to me i’m still on stock ecu and cars still ripping. Just added a fpr from fuel rail and a return style system now. Car definitely picked up some horsepower compared to completely stock fueling.
I looked up the turbo and it says it’s for 1.5l-2.5l and that is a 3.0l engine you don’t feel any lags or anything what’s the exact turbo I tried listening but I can’t find the one painted black I’m going for it with my GS300 point me in the right direction
Its in the description with parts link and I removed the housing and painted it black before installing. The turbo is sized small so it spools early but at only 6 psi its more than enough

Hey I have absolutely no tuning done to the car but have done some wiring work. Not sure why doing a cat back and intake on your car would cause it to run poorly other than the fact that maybe your new intake has a vacuum leak, o2 sensor went bad somewhere or is not getting proper flow/reading or that your maf is messed up. Has to be one of those, not a coincidence you got a problem after doing those things. Something you did is not connected properly or got damaged in process i believe
i’ve got a auto 2004 lexus is 300. i’m wanting to make it my main build because i just loves the altezza/is 300s do u think i should turbo my stock engine or swap for like a 1uz? cause idk what i wanna do but ik a V8 would be worse for gas
nah v8 in the IS would get better gas mileage. the UZ and (i think) an LS weighs less than the JZ yet make similar/ more power. plus lighter car compared to what v8s usually come in so the motor isnt being pushed very hard
@@WeMerk I bought a nice 2001 is300 for $1000 dlls, I have to have it towed because it won't rev more than 3k rpm, the owner said that a mechanic said that it was the ignition coils, but they tested OK, the problem was the cat were all clogged, just took the 3 cats and drives so good, I only need to replace the brake booster.

Engine internals are different. Head gaskets different, cylinder heads different, intake manifold/exhaust manifolds are different along with stock fueling and tuning
I dont see any reason that would be stopping you from doing so. As long as your torque converter and transmission shift good they should be able to handle the power. That is until you’re making real power with standalone+injectors and tune.
Whatever the size of the turbo inlet you are gonna use. If ur turbo is a 2.5 inch opening then you could use a 2.5 inch pipe or if u want to go bigger to let's say 3 inch just get a 2.5-3 inch couplerand use a 3 inch pipe. In terms of length it was 4 inches long.
@WeMerk can replicate (u had parts that drove down the cost that most ppl wouldn't), reliable & efficient turbo system. According to your logic I can do it for around 100 bucks. Can go to a pick & pull, get a diesel truck turbo, cut open the passenger floor, y the exhaust to the turbo, no waste gate needed, cut up old exhaust from vehicles I gotta laying around to weld up cold & hot side. Wouldn't call it successful... unless the goal is to get boost the car for cheap as possible with no rules.
@@sojer6mile bro you can 100% do this for 500$ - 150$ used turbo manifold on fb marketplace, 100$ turbo from ebay, 50ish$ oil drain and feed, 70$ ebay intercooler, 95$ intercooler piping, ebay wastegate 35$. Only thing that doesn’t include is a downpipe/exhaust but downpipe like 40$ on ebay

Upper i believe. Lower is steel upper is cast aluminum.
