Wow, huge collection. Great video!! I hate to be that guy, but no Illicit Still? It’s hitting the shelves in my area and there aren’t a lot of reviews online yet.
Yeah - unfortunately we filmed this just before the Illicit Still hit the shelves. It is excellent though. We did try it out in one of our lives streams: ruclips.net/video/6QOoeHzHPzk/видео.html
This is one of your best episodes! Might be a good idea to film a drink-thru for each scotch brand. It really gives the viewer an education on the brand. Keep up the great work!
These drinkthroughs are possibly the most entertaining and educational spirits videos on RUclips right now. It's eye opening, especially when it comes to deciding whether or not it's worth splurging on certain expressions.
Good thing this video had an age statement. I had to make time to watch it all and Im glad i did. Great work and can't believe no words were slurred at the end.
After watching this video I started to buy Glenlivet again, I used to drink the old 12 years, I got the new 12 double cask, the founder's selection and the 15 french oak. Every time I tasted one of them, I load this video to have your reactions of the chosen one. love your streams. keep the good work
I gotta tell you guys, as I gain more and more appreciation for Scotch (coming from Bourbon), I find value in coming back to these DrinkThrough(tm), to explore more expensive bottles. Value really comes from the side by side tastings, from the same distillery, in the same sitting.
Loved watching this tasting! Artist Collective Glenlivet 2007 Twin Cask is probably one of my favorite whiskies, so if you somehow still find it for sale, I would highly recommend getting it.
Awesome Video Guys! I had my first Glenlivet this year in Shanghai. It was the 21 yo Archive... and I was blown aways by its "fruity'ness". Was happy to see, that you ranked it that high as well. Will gift myself a bottle for xmas. Btw. more Drinkthroughs please! Props from Germany
Time to select the best of this DrinkThrough (TM), and include the 1990's import bottling! Love the content, this brand, and this channel. You guys provide my primary guidance / roadmap, in to the world of Scotch. Cheers!!!
Holy flight batman! I had no idea there were that many Glenlivet's. I generally consider Glenlivet a rather innocuous dram without that much character, probably because it completely lacks peat. I did have a bottle of Nadura many years ago, I think it was the sherry finish, that was very good. I seems to me it was only available in duty free shops then. Surprised no one picked the Signatory as their favorite. Given the price and your comments that seems to be the winner to me. Maybe that's the Glendronach fan in me coming through.
Love the Glenlivet 14 and 18, drank at least dozen of them with my family. I got Glenlivet 21 and 25 on my collection but waiting for the right moment to open those.
I always come back to this video when I want to see great experimentation and flavor profile experience. I do have that Signatory 13 year and glad picked it up. Thx guys for such a great review!!.
Awesome job guys. Glenlivet 12 was my first love into the whiskey world. I am a bourbon drinker now, but I won't say no to any Glenlivet. Having said that, I do not know how you guys made it through all of those. Awesome job. I watched the whole video while sipping bourbon.
I got the new 18 at 43 abv (86 proof) never had the old one so can’t compare but i hope it’s good , going to pop it open this weekend , so just checking out a few vids.
Love your drinkthroughs! In Sweden the new Glenlivet 18 is only 719 SEK as a standard price (which is just under $69), really thinking about buying it!
Great video. Definitely entertaining. Based on your recommendations I'm getting my dad the 18 for his birthday and 21 for his retirement. Hopefully I can find the old 18.
I have been collecting a few bottles over the last few weeks to stock up for 4th of July celebrations this summer. I Currently have the 15 which was $79, the 18 batch reserve $126.99, and the 21yr $249....which I might just hold on to for a while actually before even opening the case at all, but we'll see.
Good stuff guys - would love to see a Balvenie Drink Through. I remember hating the 12 yr Double wood years ago but loved the 15 Yr Sherry - been thinking about grabbing the 14 yr Caribbean - cheers!
Been waiting for this video after watching all the blind test where gGenlivet won all. So last christmas I got some sampels of whiskeys where 1 stod out and it was the Glenlivet 18. Now 1 year later I decided to buy a bottle of Glenlivet 18 , but it didn´t taste like I remember it to taste like. Now after watching this amazing drink through and some reveiws I started to think that maybe the sample I got was the old 18 years old with 43% and the one I bought was the new one at 40%. my question now is if it´s worth buying the old 18 years old for 110 dollars + 25 shipping (135 dollars) or should I go for the 21 year old which I can get for 145 dollars here in Sweden.
Definitely not a bad one to consider. However, if you are an experienced bourbon drinker, who likes higher proof, Aberlour A'bunadh would be a better choice probably. Glenlivet is more delicate and less bold, and might not be as interesting to someone who loves higher proof bourbon.
Have you all found that, after you spend more time with a pour of the 21, it transitions from amazing to mediocre? I had it at a bar and was amazed by it, until I got several sips in when it became weak and boring. I wondered if it was a fluke, but a friend who is also experienced recently corroborated my experience.
Ok boys, help a brother out. This video inspired me to look into some independent bottlers. I have an option to grab a Signatory Vintage Glenlivet 14 Year 1st fill Sherry Butt at 64.3% for $140, a Signatory Vintage Bunnahabhain 12 year 1st fill Sherry butt at 58.9% for $160 or my outliers, an original regular Highland Park 15 for $85 which I believe you guys said is better than the new version and a Highland Park Single Cask Series 12 year 1st fill American Oak Sherry Puncheon at 64.8% for $170. I can only get 1 so what are you getting?
wow - tough call! Any of the first fill sherry bottlings are probably going to be great. The HP first fill we've tried have been amazing, even though they are quite pricy. Would really hinge on your preference between spyside and peatier/smokier drams I think! Personally, I'd grab the old HP 15 - good price at $85, and you can't find it any more (although they just released a new 15 year we have yet to try).
@@CuriosityPublic I'm a Dalmore guy so I lean Highland over over Speyside or Islay but I'm all over the map. I think I may grab the Highland 15 since it's unavailable and then grab the Glenlivet after Christmas. Or, they have a Cadenhead's - Dalmore - Aged 27 Years if I wanna get crazy after Christmas. We shall see. lol
Please start your long drink throughs like this from the high quality end first. While your pallet is at its peak performance to be most discerning with the quality product. Also there is a reason they bring out the cheap stuff at the end of a wedding. lets see if you don't judge the cheap bottles a little less harshly when you have a little buzz.
Actually you don't have to respect 40% abv, a $100 bottle at 40% is an insult. Distillers assume you are too stupid to pay attention, and that you will just accept whatever crap they decide to give you. Complain with your wallet and maximize your value by not buying premium priced Scotch with a bottom shelf pedigree.
Interesting video. Guy on the right seems like a know it all who passes their opinion off as fact. Enjoys saying completely disagree. Mildly irritating and takes away from the other 2 guys who seem pretty chill.
Wow, huge collection. Great video!! I hate to be that guy, but no Illicit Still? It’s hitting the shelves in my area and there aren’t a lot of reviews online yet.

Dillon’s precision pipette wins for the most liquor-nerdiest device on the whiskytubes, no other channel has anything that cool!
Bonkers! Complete bonkers… and we love it. The world owes you guys a debt of gratitude for your sacrifice.

Amazing!! Worth every minute guys 👍🏻 my god you guys are more like experts than professionals, thanks again for the hour long video!
Good thing this video had an age statement. I had to make time to watch it all and Im glad i did. Great work and can't believe no words were slurred at the end.
“Don’t yet this at home. Don’t try this ever.” 😂😂 Gotta love the ambition!
Awesome academic exercise. Thanks for doing this.

Whoa.
Not sure when I'll get to sit down long enough to watch this full length feature. Lol
But I'm looking forward to it! 🍻
We do release the audio as a podcast as well!

Amazing exploration of the Glenlivet world
Wow! That was massive. I had no idea Glenlivet released cask strength offerings. I'm on the hunt now.
This was a long time coming since Glenlivet has been winning all those blinds.
Great work guys. Keep the Drinkthroughs coming. Wish we could get some coupons too.
Nice work guys, keep these coming!

Dillon: "I was livid"
Would you say you were.....Glenlivid?

Hmmm....I may have to pick up a bottle of the Nadurra Oloroso soon.
😂😂😂 very good review. The patience used here was amazing. Y’all did what you came to to drink review and realize it’ll all be worth it in the end
Amazing drinkthrough guys!
Love the Glenlivet 14 and 18, drank at least dozen of them with my family. I got Glenlivet 21 and 25 on my collection but waiting for the right moment to open those.
Great video guys as always! U should do some of the dalmore range especially the king alexander at some point
I always come back to this video when I want to see great experimentation and flavor profile experience. I do have that Signatory 13 year and glad picked it up. Thx guys for such a great review!!.

Is that an eppendorf pipette with the yellow
I got the new 18 at 43 abv (86 proof) never had the old one so can’t compare but i hope it’s good , going to pop it open this weekend , so just checking out a few vids.
Great vid guys
Thank you for a very spectacular drink through !!!!, how about a Sake drink through.
Insane is an understatement lol.
Can't wait for dillon to use water on a spirits for scientific purposes but he does get excited pulling the water gun lol
Amazing. Going out to get a Nadurra Sherry.
Thanks for the review guys. The new label is beautiful for a bar with backlight. I will be looking for the new label.
Awesome! Surprised no Illicit Still 12. 48% and no chill filtration
Hopefully I can find the old 18.
these are my favorite reviews... because you get 3 different opinions
Love it, my only advice is should of made it a 2/part series for pay purposes. 70min engagement is hars

Good stuff guys - would love to see a Balvenie Drink Through. I remember hating the 12 yr Double wood years ago but loved the 15 Yr Sherry - been thinking about grabbing the 14 yr Caribbean - cheers!
oh man, wow... i especially enjoyed the 18 new v 18 old then leading up to the 21 and 25...
I would love to see an update to include the Glenlivet Enigma.
You made your own blend.
Grabbed a bottle of 21 last weekend and getting the new 18 this weekend, just missed the 25 by about a few days lol
The prices have gone bonkers since you guys filmed.
Yup. I just bought a bottle of 18 for $160 a few days ago. Two years ago I bought a bottle of 15 for about $75. Now that’s $90.
Been waiting for this video after watching all the blind test where gGenlivet won all.

That's a great price for the 21! I'd go with the 21 over the old 18 if they are that close in price for you.
@@CuriosityPublic Ok thank you! now I know what I will buy next cheers
Is it fair to say that if you had a complete rookie Scotch drinker prospect (like me), that you'd say... "Here, begin with the Glenlivet 12."
Definitely not a bad one to consider. However, if you are an experienced bourbon drinker, who likes higher proof, Aberlour A'bunadh would be a better choice probably. Glenlivet is more delicate and less bold, and might not be as interesting to someone who loves higher proof bourbon.

Worth picking up a 3-pack 12, 14 & 18 for $199 at Costco or better getting the 15 & 18?
Ohh - interesting question! I think the 18, 15 and 12 are the ones to go with. Maybe get the 18 and pick up a 12 on sale when it can found around $30.
Great vid guys. This will help me go reaching for a scotch, verses always grabbing a bourbon. Thank you!
Hey Dutch so would you pick glenlivet 18 (new) over the 12 if the price was not an issue?
Yes, definitely, if price is not an issue.
New subscriber here,,
Killer review guys🏆Cheers!🥃
Thanks! Cheers!
WOW!!! 😧
If it's premium priced, 40% and chill filtered, leave it on the shelf. Let the distiller drink it!
Guys, do you think that the Glenlivet XXV at €320 is a good buy?
I need to know where you’re buying these at those prices. Lol
There must be an upcoming Glenfiddich drinkthrough, right?!
$29 bucks for Glenlivet 12?! Where do you live that it cost that much? I pay $60 a bottle in NY and never found it for less than $55
The older 12 was better than new 12. June 2022 the new stills will produce the 12 year old version

I prefer good old Louisiana rice whiskey 😋

Dillion would be "LIVET" for sure, cheers.
Look don’t get me wrong I’m a big fan of this channel but why does Jules always wear the same outfit & what’s up with Dillion’s hair?
Sadly, in NC the 15yo is $80. I need to move.
Bought a new 18 yesterday for $163 in raleigh, it sucks
You guys are fucking wild
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾👌🥰💚🌳
