Awesome video guys! Love the concept. Can' go wrong with anything in that lineup. 🥃
Bruichladdich 18 is very much unpeated… I’m very curious how you all picked that one out as the Bruichladdich because “obviously it’s the peated one”?
you have to go back and redo the top three in a blind to settle it
I've been wanting to pick up a bottle of anCnoc 18 for a while now. I may have to pick one up now before they go flying off the shelves lol. BTW, if the Bruichladdich were peated, it'd be called Port Charlotte.
25 year islay blind with talisker 25 cask strength, Ardbeg 25, Lagavulin 25, Laphroaig 25, and bowmore 25 :)
Is Bruichladdich 18 peated like Dutch was saying? I heard it was the 18 year version of the Classic Laddie which is non-peated. I thought the Port Charolette 18 was their peated 18 year old.
Considering a 25 year blind you say? Wish I could join! Some of the 25's I have include The Glenlivet 25 Sample room, Aberfeldy 25 "125 Year celebration Sherry Cask Finish", Balvenie 25, Glenfarclas 25, The Dalmore 25, Arran 25, And if you average my Glenfiddich 26 with the Ancnoc 24 you have another couple 25's between the two. They definitely belong in that lineup!
Hey Guys, great video and nice to see a threeway tie (or was it lol). Next time this should occur just strike the lowest score per whisk(e)y, then the Aberlour would have won it with a first and second place and a three way tie (2-2,1-3,1-3) for second and the bruichladdich last. ORRRRR, when tied the "cheapest" bottle wins ?
When you said peated and funk, i thought that it would be the scotia. Think bruichladdich is unpeated
All three of you say Arran and anCnoc very strangely 😅
I recently picked up a Ancnoc 18 in Alberta on sale for $124 CDN, was surprised as to how dark (sherry influence) it is compared to previous releases, same as the 24.
You had nme at "Best 18!" I love Part I -- there's always the possibility of finding a brilliant dram around the 18yo IMHO. Well done guys!
Haven't had those 18s but favorite so far is the Bunnahabhain 18.
Knew there had to be a tie coming one day. Great stuff as usual!
Really enjoyed my ancnoc 18. It didn’t win of the blinds I put it through, but I did drink the bottle relatively fast. Great sipper at $150.
We got the kwisatz haderach over here getting a "spice melange" tasting note
What bothers me is keeping any of the bottles in their tin/box/sleeve... you can just toss the Bruichladdich sleeve once you open the bottle, same as the Aberlour tin, the Arran tin, and the Glen Scotia box. Then
cant you put the cover back on? I thought you could
Well that was a great big beautiful mess. Love you guys. Great video.
where is the new Port Charlotte 18 ? Cohiba Dillion should have bought a few of them at $180 each
