BEST CHILI RECIPE EVER
8 1C servings | 274 calories | 4.3G fat | 47.8G carbs | 11.6G protein
2 tbs olive oil
2 medium white onions, chopped
1 bell pepper, diced
1 1/2 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp ground cumin
2 Tbs chili powder (spice blend not red chili powder or cayenne)
1 1/2 cups each of cooked kidney, black and garbanzo beans (or 1 (15oz) can of each - drained and rinsed. discard the fluid)
6 oz tomato paste
28 oz can crushed tomato
8 oz tomato sauce
1 cup frozen corn
1 Tbs agave syrup or sugar
Instructions:
sauté onions in olive oil until tender
add spices and cook additional 1 - 2 minutes
add tomato paste and stir for 1 minute
add remaining ingredients and heat, covered, over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, for about 30 min.

Yeah. You don’t have to be plant based to eat vegetarian options. I definitely eat chicken almost every day but I also eat vegetarian gardein things sometimes like the beefless crumbles, sometimes vegan burgers and chicken. If they are bogo is when I buy them. But I look at the fat because some of them have a lot of calories compared to protein so I don’t use those.
I think you’re doing great Whit! It’s ok to slowly ease you’re way into it. Either way you’re still making a difference and I am so proud☺️

I’ve had rosacea since my early 20s, I love to hear you talk about your psoriasis and the confidence you’ve gained from it. With mine being on my face it’s always been a confidence issue for me. I’ve always found a plant based diet helped me a lot, along with exercise.

I'm not vegan/vegetarian - but I've noticed that the plant based versions of every meal are SO much quicker to whip together and totally guilty free. I've been loving the switch up in my diet and I've noticed it in yours.

I been slowly switching to a plant based diet starting earlier this year. I dropped the meat in Janaury, and haven't had fish since august. Cheese and eggs are getting cut soon as dairy is no good for PCOS. After 3 years, I had normal cycles since July and dropped almost 30 pounds! I actually use one of your workouts (upper body) regularly too!
Food does so much for your body! My PCOS symptoms have been getting better. When I don't eat so healthy, I can definately feel it within a couple days!

Hey Whitt! I struggled with psoriasis and eczema for years. The one thing that cleared my skin completely was taking a Milk Thistle supplement daily. It supports liver function just as you said celery juice does. After taking it religiously for a month my skin completely cleared! I hope this juice regimen works for you, I know how discouraging psoriasis can be. LYSM ❤️
My fiancé and I make a vegan hash brown breakfast scramble and use field roast Mexican chipotle vegan sausage. It is SO good. You can find field roast at Whole Foods. We do hash browns, vegan chipotle sausage, bell peppers, onions, corn, salt, pepper and nutritional yeast. It’s phenomenal!

You've always been my favorite, and I'm so happy you're mostly plant-based now! Your health, the planet, and the animals thank you! Just so ya know, there are plant-based protein powders, like Vegan and Sun Warrior, with more than enough protein for the booty gains, without any of the adverse health effects that whey/dairy has. It's a beautiful day to be alive!

Alex Prout the same used to happened to me!!! But if you incorporate them slowly your body starts adapting to them! Now I eat legumes every day! It’s really worth it! They’re a good source of protein, iron, selenium, and many more nutrients! ❤️👌🏼
Also a tip: make sure that if you use canned beans that you rinse them suuuuper well, that gets rid of something that causes gas and bloating n!
Skip the canned beans & buy the kind you soak overnight. This makes a big difference imo.
Also, try experimenting with only one kind of bean at a time.
Oh, and: do consider if certain food combinations are bloating you. Tomato sauce with... pretty much anything bloats me. I tend to try to avoid mixing fruits & grains at the same time.

Add teaspoon of cumin seeds while cooking lentils and beans, it helps in better digestion of them.
I just got diagnosed with psoriasis a few days ago but have had the symptoms for over a decade. I've lost over 80lbs in the last year and since I've cleaned up my diet my symptoms have reduced greatly with out the use of meds. I hope you can get some relief whitney!

I've been drinking celery juice for 2 months now and it's such a game changer. You should also be avoiding dairy as well, it's the hardest thing for me to cut out but I do notice a difference

Theres no such thing as "detoxifiying your liver".. your liver does not work like a filter, think of it more like a transformation factory. It is the place where enzymes transforms the things you eat to store it as energy and sends nutriments where needed. Therefore nothing can get "stuck" in your liver and you cant "detoxify" it because theres never a need to. Btw Im not saying that celery has no benefits, its just acting in a different way.. the same way people start to feel improvements when they eat better food while doing a """detox"""

Correction, your livers main function is to filter the blood coming from the digestive tract, (aka the blood carrying the nutrients from what you eat) detoxify chemicals and metabolize drugs.

@@mikylaalvidrez3856 While the spleen does also act as a filter, it's more focused on immunity. The spleen is in fact a lymph organ. Your are right, RBC do go there to die. When you are talking directly about nutrition, the liver is your go to.
I am not saying detoxing is a thing because your body does that all the time. It's still good to be nice to your filters from time to time.

I myself have struggled with autoimmune conditions and juicing and juice fasting have helped tremendously.
