I’ve always loved the legend of the kelpie as well. It’s so mysterious.. and I love Ireland and Scotland in general. I’m obsessed with horses and obsessed with this video! Love your editing
I love being Scottish :') kelpies and selkies are among my favourite legends by my culture. Selkies are basically merfolk but seals instead of fish, who walk on land wearing seal pelts and return to the water as seals once again and they can give their pelt to the one they fall in love with but they can never return to the sea and will die or they go back to the sea and turn their loved one into a selkie (I think, there are many interpretations of the legends this is simply the one I know best) Then there are kelpies, glorious but terrifying water horses who lure people in with their deceptively beautiful looks and devour them before returning to the watery depths in their true form, before returning once again to feed on their unlucky victims
Wow that was stunning, I really love the little lesson on kelpies, how absolutely fascinating to read! And the video was gorgeous, the tension at the end was pretty suspenseful. I really enjoyed that. Thanks.
LOL, well rest assured, the creepiness factor was there, and I thought it made this presentation quite engaging. Like you said, Kelpies are fascinating, charming and dangerous. *chills*
Thanks, glad you like it! Yeah, not much to this one really - just pretty horse pictures put to a pretty song with and a creepy ending. :) You know, I once had a cousin say that she liked my video "but," she said, "it was creepy." I looked at her and said, "It's about man-eating water horses. Of course it's creepy! That's the whole point!" Even before I had a horse, Kelpies have always fascinated me. A faerie that gains your trust with charm and then drowns and eats you? Pretty cool. And scary.
There’s a very low chance the creator will see this, but I used to watch this and the old version of this video so much as a kid, I was super obsessed with the legend of the Kelpie, and I’m always happy to return to this one even though I miss the old version too, nonetheless it always floods in old memories of watching this video, I’m just glad to come back and see it’s still up, so props and appreciation to the creator ^^ !
It's from one of the Black Stallion movies. It's an extended version that shows his father was a God who came down from the horse head nebula and mated with an Arabian. (Nothing obscene lol) Very gorgeous and worth watching. I think it was from Young Black Stallion but I'm not sure.
@@lukasilver115 Yeah this is from the young black stallion. And Yeah the black's father is so gorgeous but he IS the horsehead nebula in the story. And that means that it is a very fast horse to land on earth in less than a night
Sry to burst your guys’s bubble but the black stallion was not a kelpie, and he didn’t even drown the boy, He’s the Black Stallion who has both a movie and book about him.
1:10 isn't actually a movie but an educational short about the kelpie from Discovery Education. 2:01 is "The Black Stallion." The movie with the white horse shown right before those clips, at 1:08 and 1:59, is "Into the West"
Kelpies are very beautiful but deadly horses
I hate deadly horses
My girlfriend was talking about something like that like she saw it
They pretty till they hit the water then they go full monster
@@sulfuricacid7650 Well... perhaps she did.

Sounds like faeries... awfully tricksy, them Fae..
Here in 2024 and this edit is still amazing 🎉
In a fun game called starstable Aka: Sso there is a new green jorvik wild horse and it looks like it would be a kelpie!!
It’s been years since I last saw this video but it still gives me chills. One of, if not, my favorite bideo on the internet.

My sources are listed in the description. Many of them are not kelpie media. Using your imagination was the intention.
Can anyone tell me what is saying and what language this is
Look under the video
1:00 / 1:01/ 1:19 /1:21 what is the name of the movie
The Black Stallion
The scene with the little boy on the white kelpie, the one that drowns at the end? Where is that from?
