It's a pity I've learned about Wise only today. But since now on it will be my tool for the money transfer. Highly appreciate your very clear and easy guide. Warmest regards.
When I try to continue my transaction it 4:58 gives me the option of plaid and says it's secure. I don't know what it is so instead I choose pay another way and it won't go thru this way. Could you explain what and why plaid is connected to my wise acct
Hi Diane 👋 Based on what you shared, it looks like you're trying to make a USD payment to us through ACH debit in the US: wi.se/ach-payments-info In this case, we'd first need to verify the ownership of the account through Plaid. All you need to do is to follow the steps during your transfer step us. If you face any issue, please take a look here to see some common problems and solution: wi.se/achproblems You should be able to pay with other payment methods as mentioned here: wi.se/guidetousdtransfers But if it doesn't work for you, feel free to reach out to us via DM over Facebook, X or Instagram with the error screenshot and your transfer number; or else you can email/phone us here: wi.se/contactus We'll be glad to help.
Hi, thanks for guide. Is there a way to write a description of the transfer? I see only the reference field which is limited to the 35 characters. But that is not enough in my case.
Hey, Dmytro! At the moment we only have the option to add a reference. If your recipient needs more info, we recommend sending it separately to them, if possible (The reference can still be used by them to match the payment, if needed).
Hey there. If you're trying to send money to someone who uses a different currency than you, can send them money with Wise, by setting a transfer, and selecting the currency you'd like to send to, and the currency you like to pay for your transfer in. Once you've done that, we'll handle the conversion for you, and send them the money. For more info on how to send money with Wise, feel free to check here: wi.se/howtosendmoney And, if you have any questions, or if this isn't what you meant, feel free to reach out to us via once of our private channels on Facebook, Instagram, Or X (previously Twitter), and we'll get back to you there with more info.
Hi there! At this time, we only offer the option to receive money into your Wise balances using the 16-digit Wise card number, and paying for your transfer with a bank card, meaning that sending money from your Wise balances to a bank using their 16-digits bank card number isn't possible yet. If you'd like to learn more about the two features mentioned above, check out these links: 👉 wi.se/receive_wisecard 👉 wi.se/how-to-pay-by-card Feel free to DM us on our social media channels (X, Instagram, or Facebook) if you have more questions. We'll be happy to help.
Hey there. It gladdens us to see you're interested in learning more. So please take note that mistakes can happen, and that if the sender's payment hasn't yet been sent out or reached the conversion process, that they could still cancel it and set up a new transfer using the correct name, given that they're using our platform, of course. In case the payment has already been sent to your GCash account, then it's advised for you to get in touch with them, to see whether the funds can still be delivered in proper fashion. We won't be able to confirm nor deny whether the relevant payment may still go through, as we aren't able to speak on behalf of another financial service provider. But in case the payment wouldn't be able to land successfully, then it generally tends to get refunded back to the originating account. For more info on all this, and what tends to happen when you get the recipient's name wrong overall, please check out our page here: wi.se/incorrectrecipientsname We hope this explains matters to a degree, but please feel free to PM or DM us on Facebook, Instagram, or X, in case you have any other questions. We'd be more than glad to provide you with further assistance, of course.
Hey, Guy! The information we need to be able to process a transfer depends on the currency you're planning on sending - generally speaking, we need bank account details to be able to send money. You can search the currency you wish to send here: wi.se/currencieswesupport and see what we need to send to this specific currency.
Hi there, I have a question. My client has just set up an account on Wise and then clicked the send button and adding the details but when she's clicked on to continue to pay using my wisetag, it ended up asking her SSN. This was my first time that my client having a trouble sending funds to my wisetag. I just want to know how did she end up setting an SSN by sending funds? Whereas my other clients did the process to pay smoothly.
Hi there - thanks for reaching out. If this is related to your clients Wise account, it would be best for her to reach out to us directly for more help with this. She can reach out to us over on social media for more help. This can be on X/Twitter, Facebook or Instagram, or alternatively through this link: wi.se/contactus - we'll be there to help. Here's a little info on how the wise tag works: wi.se/mywisetag. Please also note, that if you're referring to receiving payments from clients to your personal account, this goes against out Terms of Use: wi.se/customeragreement, as personal accounts should not be used for business activities. You can learn more about whether our business account is an option for you here: wi.se/business-feature - just scroll down to "Product features“, and choose the country where your account is registered. Should you have any questions, please reach out as suggest above 💚
Hey there! You can use the reference section to add the title or any info about the transfer that you want your receiver to know. In case you entered the wrong reference, you can check here for more details on what to do: wi.se/wrongreference If you have any questions, feel free to reach out with a DM to any of our social media channels Facebook, Instagram or Twitter (X), we'll be happy to help.
How do you add a new recipient? When I try to find one, Wise tells me there are no search results, not by phone or by email. Not even when I search for myself! And if I try to proceed without setting up the recipient, just inputting their email and selecting "I don't know their bank details", and Wise keeps telling me that the account type is not valid.
Hi there! We're sorry to hear you've been having issues adding a recipient on your Wise account. To add a recipient, please follow these steps: - Go to Recipients - Select Add a recipient - Select the currency of the recipient's bank account - Select their bank details, or search for Wise users - If you’re adding your own account, select Myself after selecting Enter bank details - If you’re adding someone else’s account, select Someone else - Find your friend using their email address to make this easier, or simply fill in their details - Select Confirm to save your recipient If you continue to face issues, please reach out to us on X, Instagram, or Facebook, so we can better assist you. Thanks a lot!
Thanks for asking, Kai. We try to complete our transfer on the spot! Although we send out the money quickly, the receiving bank may need some extra time to process the deposit, so it truly depends. If money's been sent from your end, have your recipient get in touch with their account provider to see when it might be deposited. More info on transfer times can be found here 👉 wi.se/howlongdotransferstake
Hi there 👋 In general, our customers should be able to send money to Satander bank in Spain as long as the account details are correct. However, due to the way we're regulated, we sometimes can't process payments to certain account details. If you'd like us to look into this, please reach out to us via DM over Facebook, X or Instagram with your membership number or email address; or else you can email/phone us here: wi.se/contactus
Hi there. Regarding sending money to another country, feel free to check our guide here: wi.se/howtosendmoney. Note that if you'd like to send from GEL, we don't support transfers from GEL at the moment. You can pay for your transfers with EUR, USD or GBP via Swift: wi.se/swiftpayments. We’re working hard to expand to all over the world, but there are still some regions where our card isn’t available, including Georgia. You’re more than welcome to join our waitlist here: wi.se/joincardwaitlist, so you could be the first to know once we’ve landed in your country. Feel free to contact us at wi.se/contactus, or send us a DM on X, Instagram or Facebook if you have any questions. We'll be happy to help.
Hi Rover 👋 It depends on the bank. Each bank details have a specific SWIFT code. There are several websites to help you find a bank's Swift code. Simply choose the country and then the name of the bank: www.theswiftcodes.com www.bankswiftcode.org Alternatively, you can: 👉 Check the bank statements. Banks often put their Swiftcodes on their paper statements. If your respondents don’t receive paper statements, they can log in to their bank account and view their statements there. Then they can supply you with the Swift code. 👉 Check the bank’s own website. Go to the bank’s website and see if it has the Swift code listed. 👉 Check the bank’s FAQs, international payments or other related links. 👉 Type ‘Swift code’ into the search box if the website has a search feature. If anything remains unclear, feel free to DM us on Instagram, Facebook, or X. Alternatively, you can email/call us using this link: wi.se/contactus
Can we add balance to our wise account with pakistan rupees? If yes then can we use the same balance in our wise account in pakistani rupees to be converted to dollar through wise exchange rate and send it other for purpose?
Hi, Masood 👋 Currently you can't add money to your account in PKR. Please check which currencies are allowed here: wi.se/balancecurrencies And regarding conversion, make sure to check this page for more info: wi.se/moneyconversion If you need more assistance, feel free to reach out to us via PM/DM over Facebook, X or Instagram; or else you can email/phone us here: wi.se/contactus
Hey again. New users situated in Pakistan won't be able to add funds to their account with us, as they aren't able to open a balance in their account with us. To see who can currently open a balance, please check out our page here: wi.se/balanceavailability With that said, we'd like to point out the fact that it's always our aim to introduce and reintroduce our platform's services to new and current countries and regions around the world. Customers based in Pakistan who already had an account with us would be able to add funds to their balances by using the info and steps provided on our page here: wi.se/addmoneytoyourbalances We hope this explains matters to a degree, but please feel free to PM, or DM us on Facebook, Instagram, or X.
Hey there. We're happy to see you're interested in learning more about our platform. And it seems like you'd like to add funds from your Santander bank account to a balance in your account with us, is that correct? If so, then that would be possible by either adding the funds straight through your account with us, or sending money from your bank account to a balance in your account with us using the account details feature. For a more elaborate explanation on both of these methods, please check out our page here: wi.se/addmoneytoyourbalances Other than that, and regarding the second method we explained, please check out our other page here: wi.se/getbankdetails - to see how you may activate the account details feature. We hope this explains matters to a degree, but please feel free to PM or DM us on Facebook, Instagram, or X, in case you have any other questions or concerns, as we'd be more than glad to assist you.
Hi there. With us, most currencies can only be sent locally. So, you can only send CAD, or EUR/GBP/USD via SWIFT to a Canadian bank account. Plus, you can send HKD from Hong Kong too. Here's more on SWIFT transfers: wi.se/swiftpayments, CAD transfers: wi.se/guidetocad, and HKD transfers: wi.se/guidetohkd. However, we hear where you're coming from, and know that we're always working on improving our services. So, we'll be sure to keep this in mind for the future.
Hey, KD! Do you mean "address" as in delivery address, or account details? 🤔 Reason being, for delivery address (such as when ordering the Wise card) it should match up with your local guidelines. For more info on that, it's best to contact your local postal service. However, if you're asking about account details for CAD transfers, then be sure to check here: wi.se/guidetocad Generally, it should include the recipient's: - full name - bank institution number - transit number - account number If you need more help with this, feel free to reach out on our other social media channels via PM (Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram).
@@Wise i meant. Address in the "add receipient". After the transit numbef, account number etc. in the app, the next columns is the receipient's residential details for the bank transfer. When i input the address, it says that the format of the address is not correct. Thats why i need an example of a canadian address. The link in the above reply does not mention anything about the format of residential address.
Got it, thanks for clarifying 🙂 In that case, it's best if you reached out to us via PM on the other supported channels (Facebook, Twitter/X, instagram), as we'll need to take a closer look to advise on this (And public comments aren't the most secure channel to discuss recipient info).

my Australia bank will not accept new Wise bank details to send transfer. When trying to transfer my Wise reference number is not sent . I am long time customer and never had any problems with transfers before. Now . ???
If your local bank in Australia isn't accepting our new AUD details with Wise, then this is usually a temporary issue, as banks in Australia need time to update their list of Bank State Branches (BSBs). We advise you to phone your bank/branch and update their list of BSB in their system. If that doesn't help or is not the issue you're having, feel free to send us a private message on Facebook, Instagram or X/Twitter and we'll help out. Our phone and/or emails are also available: wi.se/contactus
Hey there. The amount you can send depends on the currency. From the following page, you can select your currency to see the estimated timing and any possible limits associated on it 👉 wi.se/currencieswesupport If you need more assistance, feel free to reach out to us via DM over Facebook, X or Instagram; or else you can email/phone us here: wi.se/contactus
Hi, Andrus! Generally, you're able to pay for a transfer in a few different methods (like card or bank transfer). We explain a bit more on the different ways to pay for a transfer here: wi.se/payingforatransfer You can also see how to set up a transfer here: wi.se/howtosendmoney If you're still having issues, please send us a DM on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter (X) and we'll further assist!
I have an ACH connection from my bank.... now I want to send some money already in my wise account ... how do I do with with reentering manually the account info????
Hey there. From the looks of it you've already connected your preferred bank account, and now you'd like to top up your USD balance in your account with us using ACH as the method of payment, is that correct? If so, then please note that you'd have to make a one-time debit from your account to our bank details. After this, you won't have to manually fill out all the info again, but you will still need to select the bank, and authorise the payments. For more on this, please check out our page here: wi.se/achdebit Furthermore, please bear in mind that it's required for you to have a USD balance opened in your account with us in order to add and hold USD. And to learn more about this, and how you can easily top up your balance using ACH, please check out our other page here: wi.se/ach-wise We hope this explains things to an extent, but please feel free to PM or DM us on Facebook, Instagram, or X, in case anything may remain unclear. We'd be more than happy to help you, naturally.
Ok seems clear but I dont hear her explaining more on option 1. "Making transfer via other bankaccount, without wise balance" how does that work out. Does wise deduct the amount from your bankaccount or how???
Is there an internal forward at the app that takes you to you bank acoount?? Or do you have you go into your online bank app and make the deposit to wise? If so what is the wise account nr?? This part I dont understand
Hey, Sena! The exact answer to this can depend on the currency you're paying with, since different ones will have different payment options available 😉 But you'd be correct that both - being given deposit account details for a manual payment, and being redirected to complete the payment in-app - are possible in most cases. Be sure to check here: wi.se/payingforatransfer for more info. Should you ever need help setting things up, our DMs are open on our official Facebook, Twitter/X and Instagram channels.
Ok I am a bit confused now. For my transfer from MYR to GBP bank account in the UK, can I use the balance on my Wise or must I use bank transfer payment method during the transfer process? I tried to set up the transfer (without actually transferring any money) using my MYR wise balance without any problem at all up to the "confirm and send" page. Will I encounter problem if I use my MYR wise balance to transfer to UK bank account ?
You should be able to use your MYR balance, yes. So in that sense you can disregard the first comment, as there was incorrect info there (Once more, sorry about that 🙇). So long as you can choose your balance as the payment method, or alternatively have the option to click "Send" directly from your MYR balance, it should be fine. However, if you do notice any issues, our DMs are open on other supported social media platforms, for more direct assistance. Keep in mind that MYR does have some limitations in terms of how much you can send and certain recipient amounts, even from a balance, so be sure to check the article we shared earlier: wi.se/guidetomyr for more info.
Hi, Jeffrey. We understand that you'd like to get your account verified. We'd like to know more what's exactly the issue when you upload the document. With that, please reach out to us via DM over Facebook, X or Instagram; or else you can email/phone us here: wi.se/contactus For general info about identity verification, please ensure that the full document photo page readable or no info is covered. We've outlined some troubleshooting steps or details here under 'Troubleshooting verification': wi.se/verifyyourid In the meantime, we'll wait for your DM through the above mentioned platforms and we'll be happy to assist.
I have a general question please. If I want to use my Wise Visa Debit card to buy a large ticket item, is the merchant charged by Visa as if it was a credit card? Meaning, should I be shocked if the merchant would say to me that I would myself have to shoulder the cost of the transaction charged by Visa (it happens in certain places) or is there no such charge and I can then explain that even though the card appears to be a Visa card, being in fact a Visa Debit card, then the normal fee Visa charges the merchant does not apply? Thanks much!
Hey, Cristian! So our Wise card would be a debit card (not credit), regardless of if it's a Visa or Mastercard, and should be charged as such. From our end, there are no fees for spending in the same currency as one of your available balances: wi.se/debitcardfees However, as it's a multi-currency card, some services (usually ATMs) might try to charge you extra by charging you in a different currency: wi.se/atm-rates so you'd pay extra for the conversion. In those cases, make sure to always reject any conversion attempts and ask to be charged in the matching currency instead. Outside of that, we can't necessarily control the fees a merchant might ask, but if you notice anything suspicious after purchase, you can always report it to us here: wi.se/howtoreportfraud
Hi there. If you have a New Zealand (NZ) balance on your Wise account, you'll need to open a Japanese Yen (JPY) balance if you haven't done so already. Check here where can you open a Wise balance: wi.se/balanceavailability Once you've created your JPY balance, you can convert funds from your NZ balance to JPY. To do this, simply follow these steps: To convert money: - Go to Home and select which balance you’d like to convert from - Go on the balance with the currency you want to convert - Select Convert - Enter the amount you’d like to convert from and the currency you want to convert to - you’ll need to have already added a balance in that currency - Review and confirm the conversion Learn about it here: wi.se/convertbetweenbalance If you still need help, feel free to contact us on our social media platforms (Twitter (X), Instagram and Facebook) or you can email about this here: wi.se/directcontactus One of our agents will help out with this as soon as possible.
Hello, Hazel. Your account needs to be verified to receive and send money, for safety reasons, and to prevent delays. We explain more about this, here: wi.se/verifyyourid
Hi there! We're sorry to hear you're having trouble with the Wisetag. If you're eligible for balances, you should be able to get a Wisetag. See more here: wi.se/mywisetag Feel free to reach out to our support team here: wi.se/contactus or on one of our social media pages (X, Instagram, or Facebook). We'll be happy to look into this for you. Thanks a lot.
I heard tgat Transfers from one Wise account to another are free of charge when both the sender and recipient hold balances in the same currency, is it true??!!!!!😮😊
Hey, Thomas. In general, SWIFT refunds can take between 5-10 working days, or longer. If it has taken longer than that, we'd suggest that you share with us the rejection letter for from the bank here: wi.se/senddocument and we'll help you to locate the payment. If you need more assistance, feel free to reach out to us via DM over Facebook, X or Instagram with your transfer/membership number; or else you can email/phone us here: wi.se/contactus
I want to add MYR to my Wise account (I am not Malaysian). I do not see "MYR" when I select "Add Money." Do I use the "Send" option instead? May I ask, what's the difference between "Add Money" and "Send"? Thanks
Hey, Wayne. You can only send MYR from banks within Malaysia. You can’t send MYR by Swift - we explain more here: wi.se/guidetomyr Adding money means that you're adding money to your Wise balance: wi.se/addmoneytoyourbalances. While sending money means that you're setting up either a same or a cross currency transfer to a recipient: wi.se/howtosendmoney If you're trying to add money to your Wise balance, you can add money in one of these currencies: wi.se/balancecurrencies, then convert it to MYR instead: wi.se/moneyconversion Hope this helps. Send us a DM via Instagram, X, or Facebook, if you need further help, and we'll be happy to assist you there 🙂
I just signed up with my wise today. Im in the first scenario that i want my money to be transfer from my debit since i dont have money to my wise but the option of sending outside wise was not there. What seems to be the problem
Hi, Mylene. The option is limited depending on the region you're in and the currency that you're using. But for us to understand the issue you're getting, feel free to reach out to us via DM over Facebook, X or Instagram; or else you can email/phone us here: wi.se/contactus Please share with us there a screenshot of how it looks on your end. That way, we'd be able to take a closer a look.
Your recipient doesn’t need a Wise Account to receive money. They just need to provide bank details for the currency they want to receive, and your Wise transfer will be securely deposited into their regular bank account for convenience. Learn more about it here: wi.se/wiseaccountoreceivemoney Feel free to contact us on our social media platforms (Twitter (X), Instagram and Facebook) or you can email about this here: wi.se/contactus We're here to help 💚
As long as the recipient's phone number is accurate, the funds should be successfully sent. You can also track the transfer through your account. If, for any reason, the money is returned to us, we'll notify you and request that you correct your transfer. Learn more about GCash here: wise.com/ph/blog/transfer-wise-to-gcash If you still need assistance, feel free to contact us on our social media platforms (Twitter (X), Instagram and Facebook) or you can email about this here: wi.se/directcontactus One of our agents will help out with this as soon as possible.
Whenever I try to send money from my Wise account to my local bank, it never gives me the option to send it immediately, it always sets it up in a way where I get it the NEXT day or schedule it to another day (today's date will always be greyed out). Is there a way to make WISE > Outside Bank transfer happen real-time or in minutes?
Hi, there! You should be able to set up a transfer from your balances in real time. The time it takes for the amount to reach your external bank, however, depends on a few factors, like the currency and when the transfer was set up. You can check how to send money from your Wise account here: wi.se/sendfrombalance If you're still having issues, please DM us on Twitter (X), Facebook or Instagram and we'll have a closer look into it for you!
If I add money from my bank debit account to my Wise account balance, then send to my recipient from this Wise balance, ain't I getting double charged in fees? Or is it cheaper going from my bank debit directly to my recipient bypassing my Wise balance account?
Hey there. We appreciate seeing that you'd like to learn more about sending funds using your account with us. So whether it would cost more to first add funds to a balance in your account with us, and then send these out - or to set up a payment from your external bank account using our platform in order to directly send money to the intended recipient, would depend on the involved currencies. In some cases, it's free to add funds from your bank account to a balance in your account with us, given that no conversion fee is involved. For some currencies, however, such as USD or CAD, you'll need to pay a fee for this even if no conversion were to be required. So in case no conversion fee, and/or additional fee would have to be paid in order to top up a balance in your account with us, then the total costs for sending money to your recipient wouldn't be more than if you were to send the funds directly from your external bank account. On the other hand, if such fees would be involved when it comes to topping up a balance in your account with us, then it may be more cost-efficient for you to fund your payment directly from your external bank account, through your account with us. For a more elaborate overview when it comes to the fees we charge for holding, receiving, and spending money, go here: wi.se/account-fees Furthermore, please note that we're upfront and transparent when it comes to the fees we charge you, and we'll make sure to let you know what you'll be paying during the set-up phase of your payment, due to how we're set up as an online financial institution. We hope this explains matters to an extent, but please feel free to PM or DM us on Facebook, Instagram, or X, in case you have any other questions or concerns. We'd be glad to assist you, naturally.
@@Wise I'm getting charged a fee for adding to my Wise account, and again when sending to my recipient, so I guess going direct from my debit to my recipient is the best way for me. Thanks for the quick reply!

You can head here for the limits on BRL: wi.se/guidetobrl and USD: wi.se/guidetousdtransfers Here are other useful pages: Limits on receiving: wi.se/borderlesslimits Limits on sending: wi.se/sending_limits Hope this helps. I just created an account. I have the USD account details. My question is that I am seeing Wise account holder and account holder. The wise account holder shows my name, but the account holder shows Wise Inc. What info should I give to my client for the account holder. My name or Wise Inc? Thank you
Hi, Kristel! If you're planning on receiving money using your USD account details, you can share your name with the person that wishes to pay you. You can read more on receiving USD here: wi.se/usdbalances

I send money with my brightwell debit card to sri lanka saving bank account. So now charges is very high. can i select wire transfer or swift transfer for my transaction.
Hey Ishan. It's best to select the payment method that you'll be using to send out the transfer. If you're going to send this transfer and pay via wire, then you can select wire transfer. We also only suggest paying for your transfer via SWIFT if it's being sent that way. See more on paying for a transfer here: wi.se/payingforatransfer You can also see more on SWIFT here: wi.se/swiftpayments If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us on our other social media platforms or via phone and email here: wi.se/contactus
👉 Debit card payments are usually faster and efficient than other payment methods, but the fee is more, too. Check here: wi.se/card-payment 👉 Wire payments to Wise work the same way you’d wire money to anyone else - quite simple. We’ll show you our account details, and you can set up your wire to us. Learn more about using wire transfers: wi.se/wire-transfer-info 👉 SWIFT can be used when you send USD to countries outside the US, GBP to countries outside the UK, more than 1 million JPY to any country, or EUR to banks that are not part of SEPA and countries outside of SEPA. Keep in mind, SWIFT payment method can be more expensive than others because there are multiple intermediary banks involved, and each bank can charge their own fee. Hey there, thanks for reaching out. Setting up a transfer with us is super quick and easy. Follow these steps below: -Go to the "Send" section of your account -Choose where you want to send the money from. In your case, this sounds like it would be from your external UK bank account. -Enter how much you'd like to send. For example, you can set up the transfer to pay in with 100 GBP from your UK bank account, and send the equivalent in EUR to your external Luxembourg account. -Choose who you're sending the money to. For you, you'd want to add your external Luxembourg bank account as the recipient for this transfer. -Review all the details and make sure the currency, amount, etc is correct. -Choose how to pay, this would be when you'd input your external UK bank account. This can walk you through that here: wi.se/payingbybanktransfer, or you can also pay by card: wi.se/payingbycard Once you've completed all of these steps, you'll be all good to go! Hi wise, i still don’t have the USD account details, but I have GBP account details set up. I will need to receive USD from the sender and I will need to convert it to PHP. How will I be able to receive USD? Also, can I just use my Wisetag for them to send over the money? Or will I need to send the GBP account details?
Hi, Angelica. If you're expecting a payment in USD, we'd suggest opening an account details in the same currency. More about this here: wi.se/usdbalances And once received, you can then convert it to any available currency. Now, as for Wisetag feature, you can share it with your sender, it's an easy and fast way for receiving or requesting money from other Wise users. We've covered this in our support page: wi.se/mywisetag We hope this helps, if you need more assistance, feel free to reach out to us via DM over Facebook, X or Instagram; or else you can email/phone us here: wi.se/contactus
Hey Wise, can I purchase a piece of real property from my Wise acct directly to the Title Company or do I need to first transfer my Wise funds to my bank acct and then to the Title Company? Just wondering if I can skip the extra step of the bank transfer? Thanks.
Hey there. Betsy. You can definitely use Wise to buy property, and you'll save money doing it by avoiding big transfer costs and taking advantage of the mid-market exchange rate. For more on high-amount transfers, be sure to check out: wi.se/largetransferstips and for more on the documents you may need: wi.se/largetransferdocs
Hello, I’ve been a Wise customer for about 6 years now. I usually send money to a family member in France without a problem. However, now he is in Germany temporarily and asked me if I can send money to his Swift account in Germany? If yes, do I have to enter his name again but with the new swift information? He would still like to keep his bank account info in France. Can I list him twice in Wise but with his two different accounts? Thank you.
Hey there Dina. You should be able to add him and his Swift account info by editing or adding his recipient details. Adding him as a recipient will show you a brief summary of his account details so you distinguish between his Swift account and Germany and his account in France. You can find more info on how to do this here: wise.com/help/articles/2491526/how-do-i-add-or-delete-recipients If you have any questions on sending to his Swift account, you can also find a guide here on the info needed for a Swift transfer and how long they usually take: wi.se/swiftpayments If you need more assistance, feel free to reach out to us via DM over Facebook, X or Instagram; or else you can email/phone us here: wi.se/contactus
Hey there! There are some limits involved. For example, when sending EUR to GBP we would first need you to send us the EUR which has a maximum limit of 1.2 million per transfer. And then to send out, we have a 1 million GBP limit. So for the EUR to GBP you could potentially send 1.16million EUR. But if you send from your Wise balance, the limit is a bit higher. Check EUR limits here: wi.se/guidetoeurtransfers And check GBP limits here: wi.se/guidetogbp You can try your transfer here already, see what's possible and what are the fees: wi.se/landingpage Feel free to send us a PM on Facebook, Instagram or X/Twitter if you have any other questions.
Hi Catherine, I have set up my Euro account and got the details. Now I am searching for days to ask someone to send money into my wise account. I don't want to use my euro account in the PH because the fee is very hi for a 20 Euro send to open the wise account. Can I ask my daughter to send the 20 Euro to open the account or do I have to open the account with my bank account in the PH. I have no account in Germany or Europe. Thank you and I hope I get a clear answer. I have been studying this matter for days also on your youtube and websites, my daughter sent 10 euros on Friday but even though it says it was received nothing is in my wise account. Thanks
Hi Karl. This first top up can be in any currency you'd like to have available, but the minimum amount should be 20 GBP or equivalent in another currency. The full balance will be available for you to spend after. We can’t accept your deposit if you use someone else’s bank account with power of attorney to fund your transfer. If you still need help, feel free to PM/DM us on our social media platforms (Twitter (X), Instagram and Facebook) or you can email about this here: wi.se/directcontactus One of our agents will help out with this as soon as possible.

Okay so I receive the money here in the states, now I want to transfer every penny into my banking account. Is there a fee I need to pay to make that transfer. Or taxes that I need to pay up?
Hi there, Gerson! If you’re sending money from your account to a bank account outside of Wise, the fee will depend on the currency. See our pricing page here: wi.se/ourfees We have a full guide on how to send money from a balance: wi.se/sendfrombalance If you have any questions, send us a private message on our other social media platforms, such as: Instagram, Facebook and X (formerly Twitter). Hi, I'm planning to send money from Malaysia (MYR) to a company in UK (GBP). How long the transfer can be completed? I already have money in my Wise account (MYR). Is there any chance my transfer will be unsuccessful? In this case, what should I do?
Hey there, Ashraf. To send money from Malaysia to the UK, you'll need to use SWIFT. Currently GBP can't be sent out of Malaysia with that route, but you can still send EUR, or USD, which can be received into a Wise account's GBP balance details. We have more info on that here: wi.se/sendgbpoutsideoftheuk Those kinds of payments generally take 1-6 business days to be received, but sometimes they can take longer because of time zone differences between the sending and receiving country, or the intermediary banks involved. For more on swift: wi.se/swiftpayments For more general info on MYR, check out: wi.se/guidetomyr and GBP: wi.se/guidetogbp If for any reason your transfer is unsuccessful, we'll let you know via email and your activity page should show you what's wrong. If that happens, just let us know here: wi.se/directcontactus and it'll be our pleasure to help.
@@Wise hi, thank you for your reply. Why can't I just send MYR from my balance? I tried to set up the transfer from my balance without actually transferring money, it seems no error at all. Also, when I click send, there is no option for add outside bank account, only add recipient appears on this page. Is this the latest version of the app?
Ah, sorry about the confusion there, Ashraf 😅 A few corrections to the previous comment: You can pay with GBP in Malaysia, although it would still remain SWIFT with that method. Likewise, we can indeed accept payments in MYR from Malaysian bank accounts, and you can also use your MYR balance to pay for the transfer as an alternative, as well. So if you're setting up a MYR to GBP payment, the overall time would include about 0-2 working days for conversion, and 0-2 working days for delivery (Though most GBP payments arrive on the same working day). As for the issue of adding recipient details, if this is someone you haven't sent payments to yet, you should be able to add the bank account info by clicking the "Add a recipient" option. Once you select the currency their account is in, you should see an option to add the bank account info after. If that doesn't help, we'll need a bit more info to advise on this - Be sure to reach out to our other social media channels via DM (Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram), so we can offer more dedicated help.
Hello, How long does it take to approve when my account is on the wait list for usd account? I just want to use the usd account number for my online shop, Thanks
Hello there. At this time we do not have an exact date, but we are working hard to bring this back as soon as possible. When we have more information to share, we will provide it to our customers. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
Hey, there. Only the sender will pay the fees on a transfer - we won't charge the recipient to receive the money. Unless they have separate fees from their bank, which we wouldn't have control over. Simulate your transfer and check out our fees/rates here 👉 wi.se/ourfees

Hey Wise Team, I'm in Morocco and want to use Wise to send and receive money internationally, like to a friend in France and other countries. Also, I'm thinking of using Wise to transfer money to my Interactive Brokers (IBKR) account. Since Wise is known for great service and rates, it seems like the best option. Can you give me some info on how to set this up and any requirements or limits I should know about? Thanks
Hey, Muzan. Currently, new customers in Morocco can't open Wise balances. This means that you still can open a Wise account and send money, but you can't get account details to receive money from others. Due to regulations, this feature is only available for customers who reside in the regions listed here: wi.se/balanceavailability. For additional info, you can read more about how to send money here: wi.se/howtosendmoney, and some general tips and tricks to getting started with Wise here: wi.se/tipstogetstarted. Lastly, when it comes to transferring money to an Interactive Brokers transfers, this should be possible, and you can always track your outgoing transfer on your account. Any updates on your transfers will be shared via email. Should have any questions on this, feel free to DM us on Instagram, Twitter (X), or Facebook. Alternatively, you can reach out to us via email/phone call here: wi.se/contactus.

Hi I have a question...my sister lives in the Philippines and wants to send money to me which I live in Greece...can she use wise to send php to euros? Thank you
Hi, John. Currently, it's not possible to send money from PHP currency which you can find more info about this here: wi.se/guidetophp Alternatively, if your sister needs to send money from the Philippines (to Greece for example), she'll need to pay using global currencies (if her local bank supports this) via SWIFT: wi.se/swiftpayments In the meantime, you can include this in our wishlist here: wi.se/wishlist so we can let you know when this feature is coming your way. And should there be any changes with this route, we'll definitely keep our customers in the loop. We hope this clarifies, and if you need more assistance, feel free to reach out to us via DM over Facebook, X or Instagram; or else you can email/phone us here: wi.se/contactus
As mentioned above, if it's through Wise, she can't send using PHP currency as it's not yet supported. She can instead reach out to her bank, and ask if they support SWIFT transfers, or if there are other alternatives that they can offer.

Hey there. When selecting to use a debit or credit card as a method of payment for your transfer, then this won't necessarily cause a delay when sending money. With that said, a payment via debit or credit card, much like a payment that's set up using a different method, may still have to undergo security checks which could then end up delaying the transfer in the end. To learn more about payments by card, please have a look at our page here: wi.se/payingbycard We hope this explains matters to an extent, but please feel free to PM or DM us on Facebook, Instagram, or X, in case you have any other questions or concerns.

Hi there - thanks for reaching out. You can’t currently send money from BDT using Wise. You can learn more about BDT transfer here: wi.se/guidetobdt. However, you should be able to send EUR or GBP to an external bank account in Malaysia, via the SWIFT payment network. You would need to check whether the recipient account allows for this. Please also note, that there could be additional fees and possible delays due to the SWIFT payment network, and we have no control over these. You can learn more about this here: wi.se/swiftpayments. Here's a little more info on sending money through Wise: wi.se/howtosendmoney. Please feel free to reach out to us over on social media for more help. This can be on X/Twitter, Facebook or Instagram, or alternatively through this link: wi.se/contactus - we're there to help 💚
Hey again. Thanks for getting back to us, and we're happy to see you're interested in learning even more about the possibilities when it comes to sending money using our platform 🙂 So please note that you'll be able to send from MYR to BDT via a bank transfer: wi.se/payingbybanktransfer - from your external Malaysian bank or via FPX. Other than that it's important to keep in mind that Malaysians and expatriates are able to send 30,000 MYR daily for cross-currency payments. And if you're a foreign worker you can send up to 5,000 MYR monthly. For more on this and MYR transfers overall, please check out our page here: wi.se/guidetomyr Other methods of payment for this currency route are supported as well, and you can learn more about those, and the fees that would be applicable by using our tool here: wi.se/sendfees And when it comes to sending payments to BDT, then please bear in mind that you can send up to 995,000 BDT per transfer to bank accounts, but that you'd still be able to send multiple payments to that same account. Furthermore, you'd be able to send 122,500 BDT daily, and 450,000 BDT monthly to bKash. To learn more about that, and BDT payments in general, please check out our other page here: wi.se/guidetobdt We hope this explains matters to an extent, but please also feel free to PM or DM us on Facebook, Instagram, or X, in case you have any other questions. We'd be happy to help you, of course.

Thanks , I like my wise , I tried to send money from my bank in Canada to my wise account looks not to be clear
You are really amazing because your speaking style is very nice and heart touching to hear again and again ❤💋🥰

Hello I have a question
If someone currency is different from your
Who should I do ?
Hey there. If you're trying to send money to someone who uses a different currency than you, can send them money with Wise, by setting a transfer, and selecting the currency you'd like to send to, and the currency you like to pay for your transfer in.
Once you've done that, we'll handle the conversion for you, and send them the money. For more info on how to send money with Wise, feel free to check here: wi.se/howtosendmoney
And, if you have any questions, or if this isn't what you meant, feel free to reach out to us via once of our private channels on Facebook, Instagram, Or X (previously Twitter), and we'll get back to you there with more info.
Are the fees the same in both scenarios? 😅
We love you Wise and your wonderful team. With ❤ from 🇺🇬

How i can send money from wise to bank card by 16 digital number ??? Any fintech bank have this feature
Hi there! At this time, we only offer the option to receive money into your Wise balances using the 16-digit Wise card number, and paying for your transfer with a bank card, meaning that sending money from your Wise balances to a bank using their 16-digits bank card number isn't possible yet.
If you'd like to learn more about the two features mentioned above, check out these links:
👉 wi.se/receive_wisecard
👉 wi.se/how-to-pay-by-card
Feel free to DM us on our social media channels (X, Instagram, or Facebook) if you have more questions. We'll be happy to help.
Thank you for the info. What if the sender is from Australia and accidentally type a wrong account name but correct GCASH number. Will that be okay?
For more info on all this, and what tends to happen when you get the recipient's name wrong overall, please check out our page here: wi.se/incorrectrecipientsname
We hope this explains matters to a degree, but please feel free to PM or DM us on Facebook, Instagram, or X, in case you have any other questions. We'd be more than glad to provide you with further assistance, of course.
Is it possible to send money from wise to a prepaid Visa card instead of a formal bank account ?
How can I change transfer title, I see only the reference, is this the same? I need my transfer to have specific title visible for receiver
Hey there!
You can use the reference section to add the title or any info about the transfer that you want your receiver to know.

To add a recipient, please follow these steps:
- Go to Recipients
- Select Add a recipient
- Select the currency of the recipient's bank account
- Select their bank details, or search for Wise users
- If you’re adding your own account, select Myself after selecting Enter bank details
- If you’re adding someone else’s account, select Someone else - Find your friend using their email address to make this easier, or simply fill in their details
- Select Confirm to save your recipient
If you continue to face issues, please reach out to us on X, Instagram, or Facebook, so we can better assist you. Thanks a lot!
Hi, question. How long does it take for the transfer to reflect to the recipients account? Thanks
It doesn't work with Santander bank in Spain... "We cannot currently accept payments to this recipient"

Do I have to put specific bank branch swift code for transfer money
Or main branch swift code is okay?
Hi Rover 👋 It depends on the bank. Each bank details have a specific SWIFT code.
There are several websites to help you find a bank's Swift code. Simply choose the country and then the name of the bank:
www.theswiftcodes.com
www.bankswiftcode.org
Alternatively, you can:
👉 Check the bank statements.

Hey there. We're happy to see you're interested in learning more about our platform. And it seems like you'd like to add funds from your Santander bank account to a balance in your account with us, is that correct?

Tried to send HKD to a Canadian and couldn’t on wise. Says I must send CDN to a Canadian account. What’s the point??
I need the address format for canada. I can't add an address as it says to imput in correct format.
Hey, KD!
Do you mean "address" as in delivery address, or account details? 🤔 Reason being, for delivery address (such as when ordering the Wise card) it should match up with your local guidelines. For more info on that, it's best to contact your local postal service.
However, if you're asking about account details for CAD transfers, then be sure to check here: wi.se/guidetocad Generally, it should include the recipient's:
- full name
- bank institution number
- transit number
- account number
If you need more help with this, feel free to reach out on our other social media channels via PM (Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram).

For more on this, please check out our page here: wi.se/achdebit
Furthermore, please bear in mind that it's required for you to have a USD balance opened in your account with us in order to add and hold USD.
And to learn more about this, and how you can easily top up your balance using ACH, please check out our other page here: wi.se/ach-wise

From our end, there are no fees for spending in the same currency as one of your available balances: wi.se/debitcardfees
However, as it's a multi-currency card, some services (usually ATMs) might try to charge you extra by charging you in a different currency: wi.se/atm-rates so you'd pay extra for the conversion. In those cases, make sure to always reject any conversion attempts and ask to be charged in the matching currency instead.
Outside of that, we can't necessarily control the fees a merchant might ask, but if you notice anything suspicious after purchase, you can always report it to us here: wi.se/howtoreportfraud
Hi I manually sent money to my wise acc NZ, can I or how do I transfer that money to JPY in my wise acc?
Hi there.
If you have a New Zealand (NZ) balance on your Wise account, you'll need to open a Japanese Yen (JPY) balance if you haven't done so already. Check here where can you open a Wise balance: wi.se/balanceavailability
Once you've created your JPY balance, you can convert funds from your NZ balance to JPY. To do this, simply follow these steps:
To convert money:
- Go to Home and select which balance you’d like to convert from
- Go on the balance with the currency you want to convert
- Select Convert
- Enter the amount you’d like to convert from and the currency you want to convert to - you’ll need to have already added a balance in that currency
- Review and confirm the conversion

Hey, Wayne. You can only send MYR from banks within Malaysia. You can’t send MYR by Swift - we explain more here: wi.se/guidetomyr
Adding money means that you're adding money to your Wise balance: wi.se/addmoneytoyourbalances. While sending money means that you're setting up either a same or a cross currency transfer to a recipient: wi.se/howtosendmoney

You can check how to send money from your Wise account here: wi.se/sendfrombalance
If you're still having issues, please DM us on Twitter (X), Facebook or Instagram and we'll have a closer look into it for you!
For a more elaborate overview when it comes to the fees we charge for holding, receiving, and spending money, go here: wi.se/account-fees
Furthermore, please note that we're upfront and transparent when it comes to the fees we charge you, and we'll make sure to let you know what you'll be paying during the set-up phase of your payment, due to how we're set up as an online financial institution.
We hope this explains matters to an extent, but please feel free to PM or DM us on Facebook, Instagram, or X, in case you have any other questions or concerns. We'd be glad to assist you, naturally.

👉 Wire payments to Wise work the same way you’d wire money to anyone else - quite simple. We’ll show you our account details, and you can set up your wire to us. Learn more about using wire transfers: wi.se/wire-transfer-info
👉 SWIFT can be used when you send USD to countries outside the US, GBP to countries outside the UK, more than 1 million JPY to any country, or EUR to banks that are not part of SEPA and countries outside of SEPA. Keep in mind, SWIFT payment method can be more expensive than others because there are multiple intermediary banks involved, and each bank can charge their own fee. How do I do a wire transfer on the app from UK to Luxembourg? Can I do this on the app?
Hey there, thanks for reaching out. Setting up a transfer with us is super quick and easy. Follow these steps below:
-Go to the "Send" section of your account
-Choose where you want to send the money from.
This can walk you through that here: wi.se/payingbybanktransfer, or you can also pay by card: wi.se/payingbycard
Once you've completed all of these steps, you'll be all good to go! We'll keep you updated on the status of your transfer via email so you know when to expect it to be complete.
We hope this helps, but if you need additional help, please feel free to send us a DM on Facebook, Instagram, or X. We'll be happy to take a closer look for you.
Hey Wise, can I purchase a piece of real property from my Wise acct directly to the Title Company or do I need to first transfer my Wise funds to my bank acct and then to the Title Company? Just wondering if I can skip the extra step of the bank transfer? Thanks.

You can find more info on how to do this here: wise.com/help/articles/2491526/how-do-i-add-or-delete-recipients

Hi, is there any limitation in terms of the amount of money that can be sent (let's say from EUR to GBP for ex)? thank you
Check EUR limits here: wi.se/guidetoeurtransfers
And check GBP limits here: wi.se/guidetogbp
You can try your transfer here already, see what's possible and what are the fees: wi.se/landingpage

We have more info on that here: wi.se/sendgbpoutsideoftheuk
Those kinds of payments generally take 1-6 business days to be received, but sometimes they can take longer because of time zone differences between the sending and receiving country, or the intermediary banks involved. For more on swift: wi.se/swiftpayments
For more general info on MYR, check out: wi.se/guidetomyr and GBP: wi.se/guidetogbp
If for any reason your transfer is unsuccessful, we'll let you know via email and your activity page should show you what's wrong.

Hey there. When selecting to use a debit or credit card as a method of payment for your transfer, then this won't necessarily cause a delay when sending money.
With that said, a payment via debit or credit card, much like a payment that's set up using a different method, may still have to undergo security checks which could then end up delaying the transfer in the end.

In which month wise is available in Pakistan for opening balances
Hi there 👋
It's true, we are unable to offer balances for new customers in Pakistan. We can't give an exact estimate on when this feature will be re-opened, however we’re working on it - This is so we can improve our services and to provide a better overall experience to all our customers.
We understand that this isn't an ideal situation and hope to have better news in the future.
I am considering WISE to receive my payment from clients in UAE & USA. Do you have WISE service in Lebanon? Thanks
Hi there! To receive money for business purposes, you'd need to open a business account with Wise. At the moment, we don't offer our services for businesses registered in Lebanon. We'll be sure to make an update if anything changes in the future, so please keep an eye on our website and social media channels.
using Wise can I send money from Bangladesh to Malaysia?
How can I send money/US$ to Malaysia from Bangladesh?
Hey again. Thanks for getting back to us, and we're happy to see you're interested in learning even more about the possibilities when it comes to sending money using our platform 🙂
So please note that you'll be able to send from MYR to BDT via a bank transfer: wi.se/payingbybanktransfer - from your external Malaysian bank or via FPX. Other than that it's important to keep in mind that Malaysians and expatriates are able to send 30,000 MYR daily for cross-currency payments. And if you're a foreign worker you can send up to 5,000 MYR monthly.
For more on this and MYR transfers overall, please check out our page here: wi.se/guidetomyr
Other methods of payment for this currency route are supported as well, and you can learn more about those, and the fees that would be applicable by using our tool here: wi.se/sendfees
And when it comes to sending payments to BDT, then please bear in mind that you can send up to 995,000 BDT per transfer to bank accounts, but that you'd still be able to send multiple payments to that same account. Furthermore, you'd be able to send 122,500 BDT daily, and 450,000 BDT monthly to bKash.
To learn more about that, and BDT payments in general, please check out our other page here: wi.se/guidetobdt
We hope this explains matters to an extent, but please also feel free to PM or DM us on Facebook, Instagram, or X, in case you have any other questions. We'd be happy to help you, of course.
