Oh hi there! 👋
Great content for a great service.
Hallo Andrea ! Danke ))
Great video! although I have a problem, I created a personal account but I can't see the balance tab. I am in Kenya and I want receive money in USD and I need bank details but I can't access what could be the problem. Kindly help.
Hey there. Thank you for your kind words, they're much appreciated.
Note however that in order to be able to receive payments to your account with us, that you'd need to be able to access our balances function in combination with our account details feature - and this is currently not a possibility for our customers based in Kenya.
To see where you'd be able to open a balance, please check out our page here: wi.se/balanceavailability
With that said, please bear in mind that it's always our aim to expand our platform's features to new and current countries and regions. And if any notable developments were to be made, then we'd make sure to announce those via our relevant outlets.
And for now it'd still be possible to receive USD payments through our platform and to your bank account using SWIFT as a method of payment.
For more on that, please visit our page here: wi.se/swiftpayments
We acknowledge that this may not have been the reply you were hoping for. Your understanding is therefore however all the more appreciated. And if you have any other questions or concerns. Then please feel free to PM or DM us via Facebook, Instagram, or X, as we'd be more than happy to assist you.
I recently created an account on Wise to manage payments from the UK and convert them to MAD. However, I'm experiencing some issues and wondering if anyone can help. Does Wise still support these transactions? Also, I'm curious if it's possible to use Wise for buying stocks. Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated
Hi there. If you're residing in Morocco, please note that our new customers there can't open Balances at the moment: wi.se/balanceavailability. This means that you can open a Wise account and use our services to send money, but currently, it isn't possible to get account details and receive money from others directly into your Wise account.
You can transfer money for investment purposes, such as stocks and bonds - be sure to check our Acceptable Use Policy first to see which transactions are unsupported: wi.se/usepolicy.
Please feel free to contact us at wi.se/contactus, or send us a DM on X, Facebook or Instagram. We'll be happy to take a closer look and help.
When I select the mexican peso currency it tells me I will receive an email but I do not get any emails. And when I select US dollar a pop up from my iOS device says Oops , try again.
Not quite sure if we understand what you mean here. If you're referring to the wish list for currency route here: wi.se/wishlist - we’ll email you when we add the currency you’re interested in.
We currently do Support the MXN currency, but you currently can't send money from MXN. This means when paying for a transfer we can't accept payments in MXN, but you can pay with one of our global currencies, EUR or USD instead through SWIFT. Your bank might charge you extra to send money through this route, but you can learn more about the fees here: wi.se/swiftpayments.
As for your issue with USD, we would recommend you troubleshoot this by restarting your device, and trying to uninstall and reinstall the app. If you're using the website, you can troubleshoot it using the steps here: wi.se/webtroubleshooting.
If we misunderstood your question, please send us a DM on Instagram, Twitter (X), or Facebook with more details so we can better advise you on your case. Alternatively, you can also reach out to us via email/phone call here: wi.se/contactus.

If I am going to receive euros from a place in Europe, I first receive it to a euro account in wise. Then how do I get it to dollars and then in a bank account$ looking for a step by step process. Thanks and very good video.
We're glad you enjoyed the video! Now for your question - Once you receive the EUR to your Wise account, you can make a EUR to USD transfer, and pay from your balance. We've got a step-by-step guide here: wi.se/sendfrombalance Hope that helps! If you need any help along the way, feel free to send us a private message on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram so we can better assist you 🙂
@@Wise Thanks! I will try this.
Always happy to help 😊
can you Guys make it possible to add funds using Unionpay debit cards? bank transfers can take up to 3 days.
Hey, Joey 👋 At the moment, we can't accept payments from all cards issued in Argentina, Belarus, China, Nigeria, Lebanon and Russia: wi.se/payingbycard But we'll let our customers' know on our public channels should there be any changes about this.
In the meantime, you can try to pay with another debit/credit card or an alternative payment method available, based on the currency you're sending from. You can check it out by clicking on a specific currency here: wi.se/currencieswesupport
Hey there,i am from India and can't use it,i wanted to use it for business and it isn't working,it says almost there ,but it doesn't let me set up business account . Also when i try to click on finish setup it says something went wrong. Also i have a question, Is it possible to use wise without bank account for recieving and storing and sending money ?
Hey there! We do support our business account feature in India, and you can use it to hold and receive money. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like you're experiencing some technical issues. In this case, please reach out to us via DM on Instagram, X, or Facebook, so we can have a closer look, or you can also call/email us here: wi.se/directcontactus for more specific business support.
To address your last question, when you open a Wise account, you need to have an external bank through which you'll be able to top up your balance and receive account details. Once it's done, you'll be able to receive money from others directly to your Wise account.
We hope it clarifies, but let us know if you have any other questions in the meantime - we'll be happy to help 🙂
helo dear wise
i am a freelancer and i use the Paypal subscription payments
and stripe retainer option
to have my fees monthly
do wise have a feature like this ?
pls give a detailed answer on this one
Hi, Ibrahim 👋 It sounds like you're referring to receiving money from e-commerce platforms with us, correct? If so, in select regions, you can get account details with us. These details work like bank details, and you can just share them with your sender/e-commerce platform to receive money from them to your account with us.
Here's more information on your eligibility, and how to get this feature here: wi.se/getbankdetails
However, if this isn't available for you, know that we're always working on expanding to more locations. In the meantime, you can keep an eye on our social channels for future updates.
@@Wise thanks for the reply
but no i am a freelancer
i have my service which is helping brands in email marketing
and i charge a retainer
a recurring payment
month after month
so could you help with that ?
When it comes to using your Wise account for freelancing, that would count as a business-related activity and would require a business account: wi.se/allowedbusinesses as it's not something we support with personal profiles.
In that sense, it'll depend on where you're located, since similar to balances we can only offer business accounts in select regions.
Otherwise, for supported regions, it should be do-able using our request money feature: wi.se/creatingpaymentrequest 👍
Can I transfer and receive money from Forex trading platform using Wise?
I have a question regarding transferring money to a Forex trading platform using Wise. Most platforms require you to have your own bank account. If I transfer funds from Wise, will the Forex trading platform be able to see my Wise IBAN and name? Additionally, if I want to withdraw funds from the Forex platform, can I receive the money to the same Wise IBAN number?
Hi there. You can transfer money with us, and we won't share any of your banking details with the recipient. So, here's how to send money with us: wi.se/howtosendmoney. However, with regard to sending it to a Forex trading platform, note that per our Acceptable Use Policy here: wi.se/usepolicy, we don't support platforms allowing the trading of FX.
Also, to receiving money, you'll need to get account details with us first. Plus, this feature's only available in select regions. You can check out your eligibility, and how to get it here: wi.se/getbankdetails. After, you can share your details with your sender to recieve money from them to your balances with us.
But, know that there are some restrictions when it comes to where you can receive money from. As long as the platform is supervised/regulated in the EU, or UK, it likely should be fine to recieve. We've explained more here: wi.se/incompatibleaccountsandcurrencies.
Can I receive money using the registered email as PayID?
Hey there. Yes, you can receive money by sharing only the email address you used to register your account with Wise. You'll need to follow the steps here: wi.se/markprimaryaccount to mark your Wise account details or external bank account as your primary account.
If you need help or have any further questions, please feel free to contact us at wi.se/contactus or send us a DM on X, Instagram or Facebook. We'll be here for you 🙂
Thanks for the video ,I need to deposit money to get my detailed account. Can i use my friends debit card for the deposit ? He owns a USD debit card . Please respond 😊😊
Hey, there!
When it comes to paying for transfers and top-ups, we can only accept deposits from bank accounts and cards that you own. So in this case, you won't be able to use your friend's card for it.
Once you do have account details active, though, just share them with your friend and they'll be able to send you money that way 🙂
@Wise then how am I supposed to deposit to get my details account if I don't have bank account
I don't have a bank account with the same name , how am I supposed to deposit then to get my account details?
At the moment, it not yet possible to get account details without adding money from your external bank account or your own debit/credit card. In case you have an external joint bank account, you can do a bank transfer from there as well. We explain more here: wi.se/pay-joint-account
If our requirements change in the future, we'll be sure to let you know.
Why does the app not give me the option to create my user tag? I sent my passport information.
Hi, Aldo 👋 Are you referring to create a Wisetag to receive money? In this case, You can try to enable it in two menus.
1. Log in to your account.
2. Click your profile and select "Get your Wisetag"
3. Alternatively, you can also select the “Payments” tab, and click “Your Wisetag”
Just to let you know, this feature is currently only available for personal account. If you need more assistance, feel free to reach out to us via DM over Facebook, X or Instagram with your membership number; or else you can email/phone us here: wi.se/contactus
Why can't I send money to Jamaica from Wise account?
Hi there. You should be able to send money to external accounts since JMD isn't currently available to be held in a Wise balance. We talk more about where balances are available here: wi.se/balanceavailability
Using SWIFT, you'll be able to send USD or EUR to Jamaica too, so be sure to check out: wi.se/swiftpayments

Hi just wanna ask, can I still receive a payment even my account isn't verified yet and has no money or balance? I just created my account literally right now and I am about to receive a payment, what should I do? Help please 🙏😭
Hey, there. Are you looking to receive money to your Wise account? If so, then you'll have to open a balance in the currency you wish to receive. Check if you're eligible for it here: wi.se/balanceavailability
If you are, then once you've opened your Wise balance, you'll be able to get account details. We offer Wise account details in various currencies, which you'll be able to share with others to receive money. More info here: wi.se/getbankdetails
Feel free to PM us on Facebook, Instagram, or X, if you've any questions, we'll be happy to answer them 😊
Hi I'm already verified and I already deposit, and someone emailed me it's "Payment Portal" says that I received my payment but I need to deposit the total charge for tax before I receive the payment/money
Is it just right or it's a scam?

Hello Hugo, and thanks for reaching out.
That's definitely not Wise. We explain more about scam/fraud, here: wi.se/scamfraud

hey, im a freelancer im fed up with paypal freezing my amount so i want to use wise but you stopped onboarding new business in india. how long do you guys planned to pause onboarding if it takes more than a month i can see for other payment portals. reply is appreciated
Hey there. We're temporarily unable to onboard new businesses in India. As of now, we don't have a set timeline of when it'll be made available yet. You can check out this article for updates and how to join the waitlist: wi.se/verify-business-india
And if you have more questions, feel free to reach out to us on Instagram, Twitter (X), or Facebook and PM us.
@@Wise hey thanks for the reply, is it possible to use wise personal account in the mean time?
While it can be possible to set one up, there's 2 things to keep in mind:
1. At the moment we have some limitations on accepting INR payments from India, as explained here: wi.se/guidetoinr This is only a temporary measure and we hope to have it fully available again soon.
2. Your personal account can only be used for personal purposes, so it won't be possible to use it for freelancing (That would still require a business account).
How do I add my debit card?

Add money option not showing in Pakistan please help.
Hey, Hassnu 👋 Our Wise account balance feature to receive, hold and send money isn't currently available in Pakistan. That's why you don't see the option to add money there.
Rest assured that we're working hard to expand this feature to many more countries, including yours. We'll let our customers know on our public channels once there's any update about this.
Perfect Work by Wise! I Really LOVE Wise! ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ

Just made my wise account today, there's a message "payment management isn't available in your country", does that mean i can't receive money from someone and pull the money from it?. I'm in Indonesia btw
Hey there. Currently, the ability to hold, receive and spend money in different currencies isn’t available in Indonesia, which is likely why you're seeing this message on your Wise account.
Don't worry, you can still use Wise to transfer money to and from Indonesia globally. We're committed to supporting customers in Indonesia who need a low-cost, fast and instant way to send money internationally 😊
If you have other questions about this, please feel free to send us a DM on Facebook, Instagram, or X. We'll be happy to help out.
@@Wise i see, i cant use wise in-app balances which is not available here but still be able to transfer directly to and from someone using wise. Glad to hear that, thanks
That's right, Balances aren't available in Indonesia. But, just to clarify - You can still send to and from Indonesia. You can send to someone's Wise account too, but you won't be able to receive money to your own.
@@Wise just to confirm, someone outside my country still be able to send their money into my local bank account through wise, but i cant receive their money into my wise account balances since its not available.. is that so?
Correct, in that the money can't stay in your Wise account 🙂 You can still mark a primary account on Wise: wi.se/markprimaryaccount so someone could send you payments using only the email you registered the account with. This way, you won't need to share any account info with a Wise sender as we'll automatically link it to your local account in Indonesia based on your preference (Similar to how balance-to-balance payments would have worked).
Otherwise, you can share the banking info as normal, and it'll be sent directly to the local account.

We remain committed to Indonesia, and for now you can still use Wise to transfer money to and from Indonesia globally: wi.se/howtosendmoney Thank you for your understanding.
We want wise available in Algeria 🇩🇿 please 🙏🏻
All the Algerian ppl need it
Hey there. We're able to help with transfers to/from external accounts in Algeria- though, you won't be able to open a balance or card, as there are some regions where not all of our features are available. We’re working hard to bring our mission of money without borders all over the world, and you can check if your area supports the card here: wi.se/cardavailability and balances here: wi.se/balanceavailability
If the card isn't available in your area yet, you’re more than welcome to join our waitlist here: wi.se/joincardwaitlist, so you could be the first to know once we’ve landed in your country. Let us know if you have any other questions, and feel free to PM us 💚
Sorry for the confusion! To contact us, we can be reached via DM on our social media platforms, or emailed/called here: wi.se/directcontactus
@@Wise thanks all that was helpful ❤️

Can i create wise account from UAE? Also can i deposit money from UAE?
Hey there. You can create an account in the UAE, and you can use Wise to send money: wi.se/howtosendmoney. Note that we don't support transfers from AED at the moment, but you can pay for transfers with EUR, GBP or USD via Swift: wi.se/swiftpayments. Here's a guide to AED transfers: wi.se/guidetoaed.
Although we always work on offering our services everywhere, there are some countries/regions where we can't offer our Balances feature yet, including the UAE: wi.se/balanceavailability. This means that you can't currently open balances to hold, add or receive money directly into your Wise account. You can always check our website wi.se/wisepage to see which features are available in your region.
Feel free to send us a DM on X, Facebook or Instagram or contact us at wi.se/directcontactus if you have any questions. We'll be here for you.

However, our Balance feature where you can hold/convert/receive money isn't offered there. Rest assured, we're always working on expanding to more locations. Till then, you can keep an eye on our social channels for future updates.
@@Wise Visa card is not available yet.
Correct, since our Wise cards are directly connected with the balances feature - To have a card, you'd first need to have a balance.
