I have never used any card to pay over my iPhone and wallet on my iPhone. So how do I start to use my wise card to pay. do I just open my Wise App, choose the card and hold my phone to the device?
would you say that it will be safe to get a wise card for a elderly family member to use? since they are more careless and prone to losing their credit/debit card.
Hmmmm that is really situational - I’d say a Wise card could be a safe option, especially since it lets you freeze/unfreeze the card instantly through the app if it ever gets lost. Plus, you can set spending limits to keep things in check. Just make sure they’re comfortable using the app or that someone can help manage it for them if needed.
So many years down the road. It’ll be troublesome to withdraw from ibkr after investing a lot. How to realised and transfer back the money if wise cannot hold much.
Have you all used Wise card in Korea? Can you it in restaurants, convenience stores, shopping areas in Seoul? How much KRW can withdraw cash twice in ATM without fees?
It depends on your needs. A personal Wise account is great for personal transactions like sending money abroad, while a business account is better if you need multi-currency accounts or plan to make business payments globally. For all intents & purposes - personal account!
Hi, I have a question 🙋🏻♂. I'll be traveling next week and plan to add, say... RM1k to my Wise account. After my trip, can I convert any remaining balance back to my local bank account in Malaysia?

I live in the U.S. Applied/set up a Wise account few days ago. After setting up my account, was told that Wise cards are not currently being given to those in the U.S. Hmmm....
Yeah, it seems like Wise cards are currently unavailable for U.S. residents. Hopefully, they’ll resume issuing them soon. You can keep an eye on their updates or try contacting their support to see if they have any timeline.
The idea of the card is that you avoid atm withdrawls and use it in stores to prevent atm fees. That is why you change currency to local currency using the app.
for withdrawal let say in japan, does u need to open a yen account and only then witdraw from that currency or just maintain it in myr account and u can withdraw the amount from their atm?
If you’re in Japan and want to withdraw yen, you don’t necessarily need a yen account. You can withdraw from your MYR account, but the ATM will convert the currency and charge fees for that. Having a yen account might save on conversion fees though!
I have request to transfer USD from Interactive Brokerage to my Wise, but have requested for many months and they still did not allow. I really don't know what is wrong with them.

And I did check that my EURO balance was enough. And one of the Singaporean accompanied us for the tour actually succeeded using his Wise card to make payment. I got so confused. Does anyone have any idea why did this happen?
Yes, you can transfer from your US account to Wise. You can do this as often as you like, but the daily limit usually depends on your bank's policy and Wise’s limits, which can vary based on the currency and transfer method. It's best to check directly with Wise for the specific limits applicable to your account!

Hi Ziet. Do you use Wise stocks and jar far features? What's your feedback on it?
Can we use wise for deposit and withdrawal in any forex broker for trading?
Does Wise pay interest?
Very helpful video. Thank you. I sent my wife and daughter to Malaysia so she can go to school there, and in the meantime, I'm waiting for the MM2H visa to get sorted out. We are buying property to rent there and I need a more affordable way to send money from the UAE. This looks like maybe the solution.
Glad this helped! All the best brother
@@ZietInvests Yes, but after signing up I found out I can only send 10,000 MYR per day. I need to send a total of 1,650,000 MYR over two payments. Do you have any advise on another affordable way?

Wise Card issued in Malaysia does not support Samsung Pay
I am based in NZ, planing to go to Japan, can I use this card?
Thank you. I was going to get one, but in North America, they are not offering the actual cards out right now (09/25/2024). So I passed.
ah..thanks for sharing!
Tried with physical card in Japan, Singapore and New Zealand with no problem at all! but the cash holding limit is just toooo low! if youre a frequent oversea flyer, its definitely not enough.
This is the common feedback from people! But thank you for sharing
What is the limit
@@GBln-bp7ui RM20,000 or equivalent worth of other foreign currency. Which is only 3500 pound or 4500 USD.
? I see my balace 1 million VND how can i see a new rate change ? Or will my ballance automaticly change when i look st it ?????
WISE customer service is frustratingly slow and not helpful
Ah im sorry to hear that, hopefully you got your issues resolved
I hate their customer service because they deliberately asked me to call them even though it should have been solved through email. So after they failed to resolve issue for almost a month, later I had to send them a tweet to help me and it was resolved within a minute lol.
Received my card in within 1 week. Very fast👍
That's fast!
Yea...Sabah, Malaysia.
In terms of overseas usage, would GX bank be better or Wise Card? 😅
Ziet, thank for your sharing.
I have trip to Japan, if I bank in the money by ringgit.
1st question, if I want withdraw yen on Japan. Should I manually need to convert to yen only on wise apps system only able to withdrawal the money ?
2. Same as pay as debit card, do I need to convert to yen? Or the wise will automatically convert from ringgit to yen during paying?
Hi!
1. Your money (in any currency) will be automatically converted to JPY when you withdraw - so nope, no need to convert manually yourself!
2. No need! All auto converted!
@@ZietInvests Thank for your advice, I had purchased the wise card already, however still yet to test on foreign country, my next trip was travel alone on Japan due to company matter. Slightly worry because yet to test before, anywhere, thank for your advice
Hi would you show us how to use set up jars & transfer out through the web.
Thank you.
Can I add the same card to Apple Pay and Google pay?
Yes!
Hey, just want to ask regarding converting to TWD, it is available for now? Just wanted to confirm as i saw on website
great content as always. Is it possible to transfer USD from my SG DBS multicurrency account to my malaysia Wise account?
The physical card not available for USA residents…..
ah sorry to know that!
@@ZietInvests that is in the app when i attempted to order a card
I have never used any card to pay over my iPhone and wallet on my iPhone. So how do I start to use my wise card to pay. do I just open my Wise App, choose the card and hold my phone to the device?
Very interested to know more on wise Corporate account, possible to do one?
not something that i use at the moment but ill take note on that!!
would you say that it will be safe to get a wise card for a elderly family member to use? since they are more careless and prone to losing their credit/debit card.
Do I need wise physical card in order for me to withdraw cash at Singapore’s ATM?
How to a buyer transfer money 🤑💰 to a buyer at at what my buy my item pal question ❓⁉️
You can only withdraw $350 per month at an ATM before you start paying high fees. Not great if you are travelling.
So many years down the road. It’ll be troublesome to withdraw from ibkr after investing a lot. How to realised and transfer back the money if wise cannot hold much.
upgrade to business accout or withdraw multiple times haha
I need a lot, but unfortunately not available in pakistan by the way great information thumbs up!
ahhh sry to hear that! But thank you so much for your nice comment brother.
Have you all used Wise card in Korea? Can you it in restaurants, convenience stores, shopping areas in Seoul? How much KRW can withdraw cash twice in ATM without fees?
which wise acc is better personal or business?
It depends on your needs. A personal Wise account is great for personal transactions like sending money abroad, while a business account is better if you need multi-currency accounts or plan to make business payments globally.
For all intents & purposes - personal account!
Hi, I have a question 🙋🏻♂. I'll be traveling next week and plan to add, say... RM1k to my Wise account. After my trip, can I convert any remaining balance back to my local bank account in Malaysia?
Yes, you can definitely convert any remaining balance back to your local bank after your trip through Wise. Just check the exchange rates when you’re ready!
I applied for the card online & requested the card to be delivered to my address out of Malaysia. Took about 3-4 weeks, but it arrived anyhow.
Hello do you know anything about wise banking? If we use the virtual bank info... Will our friend/fam/etc be able to send money without losing the money? 😅
Yes, Wise's virtual bank details can be used to receive money. Just make sure your sender uses the correct details to avoid issues!
As u mention there is RM20000 max holding on the Wise eWallet, how about if i want to transfer money to IB which exceed that amount ? For example i want transfer 30k USD to IB, any regulation on that ?
I live in the U.S. Applied/set up a Wise account few days ago. After setting up my account, was told that Wise cards are not currently being given to those in the U.S. Hmmm....
Yeah, it seems like Wise cards are currently unavailable for U.S. residents. Hopefully, they’ll resume issuing them soon. You can keep an eye on their updates or try contacting their support to see if they have any timeline.
Great video! What is the limit you can take out at ATM? Thanks!
The idea of the card is that you avoid atm withdrawls and use it in stores to prevent atm fees. That is why you change currency to local currency using the app.
The ATM withdrawal is adjustable and varies from country to country, can see here: wise.com/help/articles/2899986/what-are-my-spending-limits
yeah true, but i did withdraw back in Japan where its cash-heavy and certain places dont accept cards
Why aren't they giving the USA wise cards anymore?
for withdrawal let say in japan, does u need to open a yen account and only then witdraw from that currency or just maintain it in myr account and u can withdraw the amount from their atm?
If you’re in Japan and want to withdraw yen, you don’t necessarily need a yen account. You can withdraw from your MYR account, but the ATM will convert the currency and charge fees for that. Having a yen account might save on conversion fees though!
can u talk about wise jar?
😮 can you use this to speculate currency futures?
(Is the ibkr same with tradestation?)
can i use wise account as my salary account? do employer can trnsfr my salary to wise acc?

Where did you learn English? Your accent sounds kinda close to Trini where I’m from
How is this different from normal credit cards??
Does the digital card work as credit? or just as debit?
Just debit!
I have request to transfer USD from Interactive Brokerage to my Wise, but have requested for many months and they still did not allow. I really don't know what is wrong with them.
Malaysian here. I have no idea why my wise card got declined several times when spending in Europe. The shops that I spent on were literally Starbucks & Louis Vuitton, not some random shops. And I did check that my EURO balance was enough. And one of the Singaporean accompanied us for the tour actually succeeded using his Wise card to make payment. I got so confused. Does anyone have any idea why did this happen?
Hey Ziet, appreciate if you could help me with this. How do I transfer wise money to a local bank account in Malaysia?
I sent money from my local bank account to wise, and it's hasn't arrived yet. Been 5 days I'm getting worried. Someone have same experience
Can I transfer from my USA account to wise? How often and is there a daily limit?
Yes, you can transfer from your US account to Wise. You can do this as often as you like, but the daily limit usually depends on your bank's policy and Wise’s limits, which can vary based on the currency and transfer method. It's best to check directly with Wise for the specific limits applicable to your account!
@@ZietInvests thank you 🙏🏾
can we still use wise card in Taiwan?
Good morning
How to deposit money into my wise apps. Can teach how to deposit I here now in Japan I don't know how to deposit thank you
Hello~ you can link a Japanese bank account or use a debit card to add funds. Just go to “Add Money” in the Wise app, choose the currency and amount, and follow the prompts
If we already transferred 25.87 USD via debit card but we pressed the wrong button to cancel the transfer. Will they transfer the money to me? Will I have to wait a long time?
If you transfer next time Will there be any problems with the new transfer?
