I just watched your video, opened my Wise account, and sent cash from my US bank account to my Thai bank account…all in under 30 minutes! The Wise exchange rate netted me an additional $150USD over the Wells Fargo rate. Thanks so much!!!
That's so great and you're very welcome. Helping people save money and avoid hidden exchange rate fees is precisely why we make videos 😊 All the best. ^Jonny
I am not new to Wise, still did enjoy the video as very professional production. Thanks a lot 😌
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! ^Jonny
Would be asked to reverify before making a transfer for the second time ?
Need a video about Wise categories too, please. I am very short of them, especially holiday related ones, also Charity, Lend, etc 🧐
Where do you get the physical card you are holding?
Thanks a lot for your useful videos.
Is wise lunching a new design for their physical card?when that's going to happen?
Thanks alot
That is a great question, I asked them on LinkedIn and they just gave me 'coming soon vibes' in their response. I think their reply was 'Watch this space'. So we could have a redesign in the near future. Cheers! ^Jonny
Thank you ! Very helpful ....
You're welcome, let me know if you need any further help. ^Jonny
How long does it take to put the 20 dollars in your account for the verification?
Very useful, thank you! 👍😀
Glad it was helpful! ^Jonny
How often is interest payed with Wise?
May I ask who’s the principal/bank behind this product? Thank you 🙏
can you use a friends credit card if he allows to send money to a family member over seas
Wise is great but, has fees when you convert back the money. Revolut and Monese don’t have fees. Spending in Europe i think Monese and Revolut are better than wise(except for weekends)
Can wise also pay bills?
Thanks for the video. Do you happen to know how much it costs to transfer funds from your traditional account to your Wise account? I'm Canadian if that matters.
That would be at the behest of your bank, but you'll have CAD bank account details so you could technically make a local transfer which should be free. ^Jonny
if an American opens a wise account in the USA are they required to report the account under FBAR laws?
Thank you very much ☺️☺️☺️
Most welcome 😊
There was a problem with your card payment.
You can try with your card again in 24 hours.
Alternatively you can fund this payment via another payment method or by using a different card.what i do in this situation?
OTP is not coming to my mobile. Please help me what should I do.And this number is taken with my national card. This is a valid number.
Why Brazil 🇧🇷 BRL is not on the list?
If you change to local currency beforehand, is there any charges on payment done using wise card. ( No withdrawl)
No there won't be any charges once you've paid to exchange currencies. ^Jonny
Hi! I was wondering is there a benefit converting your money to local currency before going to ATM to withdraw money with wise card?
The only benefit could be that the exchange rate you get before using the ATM is better than at the time of withdrawing.. Otherwise there is no additional benefit. Don't forget when you do withdraw money that you choose to pay in the local currency, that way you'll receive the exchange rate that WISE offers and not the ATM provider or another banks. ^Jonny
@@Monitodotcom Thank you for a quick answer. If I understood it's almost the same when making transactions in shops and services. I was wondering what kind of small fee is included when paying in a different currency than local? Already made an account and ordered the card✌️
Aweome, I'm certain you won't regret it. This will vary depending on the currency, for example, right now GBP to EUR will incur an exchange rate mark-up fee of .27%. and an overall fee of .43%.and if you spent £100 in euros you would be charged a fee of 43p. Check out this page for more currency conversion fees: wise.com/gb/pricing/card-fees?sourceAmount=100&sourceCcy=GBP&targetCcy=EUR
I notice RUclipsrs put their PayPal in the description boxes of their videos. Can I do something equivalent to this using my Wise Digital card to receive payments through RUclips? Will this compromise my anonymity?
You can receive money from people on WISE using just your e-mail address or phone number, so you could remain anonymous with an e-mail address. However, that's only for people with a WISE account, otherwise, I don't think you could without having to share your full name. ^Jonny
It is cheaper to convert the currency and then send it, you save on fees and it's not much more work.
great video :)))
Thank you! ^Jonny
Hi there , wise has any annual fee for personal account ? thnx
No, currently there is no annual fee. ^Jonny
Deposited!
Is it safe as a foreigner to receive UK salary into their Wise account or opt for a traditional UK bank? Or are there better alternatives?
Personally I would say it is safe, I use WISE and have money deposited in their interest earning accounts. But if you want to read more about how they safeguard your money then check out this article (wise.com/help/articles/2949821/how-wise-keeps-your-money-safe). Let me know if you have any further questions. Cheers. ^Jonny
Thank you Jonny
I have some cash in a bank account in my name in Poland, and want to send this money to myself to a bank in Australia where I live. What would be the best way to organise this ?
Hey mate! I'd just www.Monito.com and input Poland as the country From and Australia as the To. See who we recommend as the best provider, I think your fastest option will be WISE and your best TransferGo. But double check as I don't know how much you're looking to transfer. Cheers! ^Jonny
Can you use wise digital card in the Philippines?
Yes you can, in fact I’ve personally used it in the Philippines.^Jonny
I was asked "recipient address". Is it the address of the person who receives the fund instead of his bank?
Yes exactly, that's the recipient address. ^Jonny
Can i use this apps here in Taiwan?
Yes the app would work in Taiwan, however it isn't available to Taiwanese people that just reside in Taiwan. ^Jonny

If I have Euros and Pounds on my card when in Europe, do I need to choose which currency I want to pay with online or when paying with my card? OR does the system just know and choose the correct currency account?
Hey Jonathan. It's actually really simple, WISE will recognise that the local currency is in EUR and deduct the money from your euro balance. You won't need to choose the currency or do anything manually.
If you don't have the local currency in your account, WISE will deduct from the currency that will give you the best rate, they call that their 'smart conversion technology.' (wise.com/help/articles/2935778/what-if-i-spend-money-in-a-currency-that-i-dont-have-in-my-account).
Hope that helps, let me know if you have any further questions. ^Jonny
Yes karafi
Ok cool
Can you put a wise card in a cash machine / ATM and withdraw cash ?
Yes absolutely. It's like any other debit card that you may get from a bank. ^Jonny
@@Monitodotcom ok thanks very helpful
You have never mentioned flywire ?@Monito because i was about to choose an option you provided but I found flywire way cheaper than wise & revolut.

Can you please suggest crypto friendly bank?
I think Revolut will be a good shout, given they have crypto trading built into their app. If you're looking for a licensed bank then that may be a bit tricky, but you could try Monzo. ^Jonny
