The Rajdoot GTS 175 ( AKA Bobby ) used the same 173cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, two-stroke engine that also propelled the full-size Rajdoot motorcycles, thus giving the bike a better high power-to-weight ratio. Similar to retro motorcycles, stopping power comes from drum brakes on both wheels. Suspension duties are performed by spring type, twin-sided units.

The Bobby wasn't inspired by Honda. My father, then a design engineer at Escorts invented this. Tasked with finding a use for surplus scooter and motorcycle parts inventory, he invented the Escorts Rajdoot GTS Bobby and gave it classic styling. He had little idea about Honda's useless gimmick. That's the real story of the Bobby.
