Congrats on getting your hands on one of the first PodMic USB units to ship. Nicely done unboxing video. I believe the commenter below is correct; i have yet to be able to find another video on RUclips with someone showing a production model of this mic in the hands of a "non-influencer". I enjoyed seeing you mount the windscreen to the mic and explaining the rubbery feel. Thanks for sharing the info about your setup, too. Could you add in comments or video notes a link to the adapter you used to plug the mic into your phone? Best of luck with your pigment work and your channel!
Great video! I've been looking at this set for a couple weeks and your unboxing and "non-professional" opinion has helped me see this is what I need for my brand. Thanks for the video and look forward to more content from you!
Was actually considering to buy it for my birthday in 2 months. Now you convinced me to do it. I was in a dilemma between the PodMic USB and the XDM100, which are both dynamic microphones (and the XDM100 comes with a free, lifetime access to RODE Unify), and for a midrange budget, I do believe the PodMic USB is a really good investment.
great style of unboxing. it's one of the videos i watched for my search for a headset, mic and boom. more power. more views for your channel. keep it up.
Coming from reddit, Yes you're the only one who got it, all over the Internet.congrats It's been a week deciding between rode nt usb mini and video mic go 2, And now I'm deciding between nt usb mini vs this new podmic usb. Unfortunately still can't decide until I see the comparison videos by the pros
Hey very good video. I was looking to pick up this mic but I was wondering if you might have a good recommendation for a Table stand style mic. The table i use has a weird edge to it were boom arms dont really work. So was hoping to find a good table stand/ shock mount that would work with it any help would be great ^_^ thanks again liked the video
I think it will go for 200-250$ depending where you’re located. I had to pay the end of that range since the taxes are quite high here in the Netherlands
USB C cable with a female c to female c and then the SC15 I had from my other mic. Røde also sell the SC19 which is a USB C to lightning (like the SC15) but longer. But I already had everything I needed for this! 😁
I fully get that, looking at that the original Podmic was only $100. But for newbies like me, this is a plug and play option without the use of any other interface or cable (maybe an adapter like I have)

Thank you so much! I will add the adapter in the description! 🙏
You may have the first video on RUclips with it. Good job
I guess I do 😅😁 thank you!!
Sounds pretty good! Can't wait for direct comparisons with the 1st gen PodMic. To see if they've tweaked the frequency response.
Also hoping the pop filter will be sold separately for owners of the OG PodMic
Me neither 😅 very very happy with this but it’s also my first proper mic for this purpose.
And yes! I also don’t know if this is as effective as the “regular” ones, but the looks are spot on
@@LaloRacer1 I was thinking the same thing!

I have the VideoMic Go II and the difference is huge!
@@dirtyblueshop as in? The video mic go 2 is superior? 🤔
No this one! 😅 the go 2 is great but for uses like this, the podmic sounds so much fuller!
Great video! If you don’t mind, could you please let me know what app you’re using to record with on your phone?
Sure! It’s the regular camera app in cinematic mode for the shots from me
@@dirtyblueshop thank you very much! By the way, I found your channel search for the PodMic, but your paint making videos are incredible!
This is incredible! What's the video setting in your phone?
Thanks! It’s in 4K cinematic mode
Sounding great!!! Nothing like a new mic.
Thank you!
Ty for the review. I will buy these

Thank you!! And yeah actually the @rodemic tabletop mic stand is perfect with the Podmic USB! I picked one up for recording on other locations.
@@dirtyblueshop Perfect thank you very much! Fast responce and good content subed!
@JmoneyCrypto thank you so much!
Sounds good, have you tried the aphex sound processing? :)
I have! Haven’t dialed it in to my voice yet, but it’s very customizable!
This might be my new favorite mic which it was cheaper but I will add it to my collection in the future
What’s your current favorite mic?
@@dirtyblueshop the shure sm7b, 58 and the re20
8:56 is this video is also shot with smartphone?
All of it! I don’t even have a camera to film with 😅
@@dirtyblueshop it looks very professional tbh 👍🏽👍🏽 are you using front or back cam?
@@kr8s The back cam in cinematic mode on my iPhone, I'm very happy with how it looks too!
@@dirtyblueshop is it iphone 14?
@@edemduku3391 yes, 14 pro
Will this be available at Best Buy? Can’t find it anywhere.
I really have no idea.. I’m not from the US
How long is the very long USB cable? :)
The one that came with it.. never measured it but at least 2 meters!
@@dirtyblueshop I just read the datasheet, it's 3m. Thank you anyway.
@@SamuelBSR haha thanks! I already had a 3m cable installed so this one is still rolled up.
Will it work on an iPhone 15 pro max since it has usb c
It will, it even comes with a 3 meter long USB-C to USB-C cable!
@@dirtyblueshop awesome thanks so much
What camera do you use?
I’m using my iPhone for this! 😁
I enjoy rode stuff!
I may have missed it in the video, but what's the price?

Compare it on the original PodMic plz
I wish I could but like I said, this is my fist mic like this ever!
Sounds nice✌🏼
Thanks!
Is nobody reviewing this? It’s been out now for a few days
I hope to see/hear a comparison soon too!
i feel the mic was picking too much mouth clicks
First time I talked into a mic like this.. could be me 😅
Great mic but I don’t think the price is worth!
