Matt - I love the way you research and post about the history of some of the items you find. It makes your videos very interesting and enjoyable to watch. Keep up the good work, and happy hunting!
You really worked your behind off on this video, the amount of trash you dug is phenomenal. I really enjoy your videos they are so informational, things I have never heard of or saw in my life and I am 76. Thank you for all your hard work.
Love that Tribe Captain badge, and great info, I hadn't heard of the LSA - what a beautiful pin, congratulations, a great addition to what I'm sure is an amazing collection. Cash on the ground! WOOOOHOOO!!! Cool shoe token, and funny that they beat that lock like that! You're digging some interesting things - that leaf is beautiful. Man! Hot Spot is right! That Exempt Pin looks like it still has color on it? That's great! What a neat piece of history! Enjoyed the video a lot Matt, best wishes, Chris
Thanks Tony - I love that part of this hobby! Researching the "unknown" finds and sharing that information is a must. Happy New Year to you and Dianne! HH
Great site Matt. So many cool items coming out of the ground. The exempt pin is very unusual. I imagine a lot of men that were exempt were mistakenly ostracized for not being enlisted during the war. Always love finding items that bring our history to life. ATB Greg
Great relic hunt Matt! Love seeing things ive never seen b4 with your research explaining it. Someone wanted that lock open...hope they left the coins behind. Great vid Matt
Awesome finds brother! That site looks like a great place.. Love Love the relics. Just think if they could talk. Thanks for sharing! GL, HH and as always... DIG ON!
Hey Matt you found a nice bunch of interesting relics . That LSA badge is neat. When you pulled that Woodsman of The World Medallion out that surprised me when I saw the faces on it I knew what it was I found one just like it abut 30 years ago. I enjoyed the video Thank you Matt.
Really interesting bunch of finds. I love the Lone Scout badge. I've never heard of them either. That's a killer find. The WWI US Exempt pin is cool too. I didn't know about them and I collect militaria. lol. If they had to beat on that lock to get it open maybe that means the key was lost somewhere around there to.
Yes, I never know what's going to pop out of the ground next at that spot. I like uncovering those unusual pieces and then researching what was found. HH!
Awsome relics , I was raised in Mississippi and never knew they had a tax token . Keep up the great vids . And remember keepa swinging , GL&HH. JESTA SWINGING .
Whoa Matt. Some really ornate relics at that site! One of the most interesting hauls I've seen in a while. Really enjoyed the video. And no kidding, you dug a lot of holes. That was a HUGE pile of trash!
Thanks JD - still can't believe I'm not finding more silver at that location. So far, only 2 quarters - no dimes. Anyway, you know me... the relics are what get my blood pumping. Happy New Year! HH
Matt you had one heck of a pile of trash my friend, keep clearing... there will be a Barn Burner in there! You had several harmonica reads and looked like a J hook in your pile as well! That silver pin is the jewel of the day! Love the variety of finds from your site, you seem to be a magnet for the off the wall finds! Thanks for sharing and HH
Hey matt! Man you dug a ton of holes! That sterling pin and the taxi tag are my favorites you found. Great saves for sure! Happy new year buddy! Best of luck in 2019!
Matt that was one heck of an interesting hunt, some great finds. I never knew of a draft exempt pin or had ever heard of the LSA. Thank you for the history lesson, I learned a lot today. Happy New Year my friend
Thanks John - just found a little corner in that field where this home site once stood. Filled with trash, but as you can see there's lot's of cool finds too. Happy New Year my friend! HH
Great assortment of finds Matt 🤗 Love the LSA Tribe Captain Badge, Woodmen of the World Token and the lock face. That key fob in the shape of a heel is way cool. Congrats on the sterling pin and the WWI Exempt Pin. Best of Luck to you and Happy Hunting my Friend 😁
I'm hanging in there my Friend. Now that I'm on Medicare as well as my Federal Healthcare plan I'm going to look into more treatments that may help. Once in a while I manage to get out. Thanks for asking 😀
Hey Matt do you still use vasaline on your buttons? I have a nice state seal NC I found the other day and I’m trying to decide how I should clean it up
For me, the key is no water. I like to retain the original patina whenever possible. It seems as soon as water is introduced, the patina can change. I do most of the cleaning with toothpicks, then follow up with a brass brush if needed. Vaseline or any organic oil is a nice way to finish for presentation. HH!
Great finds! Enjoyed!
Awesome video and finds!! Lots of cool unusual things!
