      Yes DEX saved my night on my S24U it is helpful there are times where there are apps that are not available in a smart TV that is on the phone, which DEX happens to “unlock”. At the end of the day both phones take awesome pictures, but for some DEX will be a “trick under the sleeve” show off kind of moment… sorry Apple, I’ll stay on my 13 Pro for a while… maybe iPhone 18 😂. There’s also LDAC sound, WiFi 7, faster 5G, S-Pen… basically way more value than just an Apple with even the next iPhone 16 PM, I get a fruit salad with Samsung S24U… Apple needs to catch up still… even if “benchmarks” says otherwise. I got the 13 Pro was for the cameras but I’m glad I switched too…

    New subscriber. I think you're one of the best reviewers on RUclips. I like that you take a fact-based, balanced approach, and aren't afraid to give each phone credit when they are best in a particular category. You seem very objective and fair, while still conveying relevant information that might be important to someone, and criticizing when it is needed. I'm stuck in the Apple ecosystem and am not a techie, but I do wish Apple would incorporate some of the Android features that you mention. Competition is good, so hopefully both companies continue to improve.

      And I totally understand where you're coming from, I was there myself and it's bloody hard to leave 😅 Or not even leave, but mix the Apple ecosystem with Android devices. There are workarounds and lots of compromises involved, so I don't ever believe anyone who says it's easy, or that it doesn't matter. Especially when your family and friends are also on the ecosystem. You couldn't have said it better, competition is definitely good!

    This is very comprehensive analysis of using both phones. To be honest, I just grew old of the Apple ecosystem and want the versatility of Android/Windows, especially gaming. I have S23 Ultra and iphone 15 Pro Max. Both phones are good and I use them in different way. S23 Ultra as daily youtube content watch, Web browsing etc. Iphone for banking, photos etc.
    Still thinking to upgrade to S24 Ultra and keep my iPhone beside. Samsung has a lot of good things but cannot understand when in example you show new feature Dual mode Video and it literally stutters. You say it is nice, then after your stutter video in the park it fades in ti your studio where video is so smooth... sorry but it is visible with bare eye. How come you can prise feature which is almost not usable...
    Sometimes, I have a feeling Samsung or android phones release some features before they are usable, but they release them because they can. The end user is just a tester.
    The iPhone approach is different. Maybe they don't release something in a few years, but once it is released, it is working as it should.
    So my feelings for S24 ultra are mixed. I want to upgrade, but there are things that are definitely not ready for end users.

Obviously theyncsnt sare too much due to the lawsuit. But I worked with them for over 3 years now and have been a customer before making these videos.
      I know some of the people there and trust they will make things right by dbrand (who I also work with). And who also had a legal issue with their Sony PlayStation covers.

      For my use, I am leaning towards Samsung for photos, especially when using the photo to look at details or blow it up on a bigger screen. The iPhone has quite a bit of noise, even in RAW MAX as I showed it around 9:15

    5:52 The S24 Ultra "5x" lens is 111mm focal length and the main lens is 24mm focal length so technically their "5x" is actually 4.625x (111/24=4.625mm) whereas the iPhone 15 Pro Max focal lengths are 24mm and 120mm so 120/24=5x. That's why the S24 Ultra seems like it has a wider FOV, because it isn't actually zoomed in 5x.

    The problem with apple is not about the cameras, they should be better than everyone else because the phone doesn't do much of anything else. I think people misunderstand the android platform. There's so much going on in the background, apps are constantly refreshing and updating. Location tracking, and the list goes on and on. This is why many android phones have a higher spec than apple, it's doing so much more. And that's not including what you're doing on the device. So it only makes sense that it's going to have some choppy things going on. Apple devices focuses on one thing at a time, this is why everything seems to run so well. The phone doesn't do much. It's not capable of running multiple apps at once. It's not a power user device by any means of the imagination. But apple has people stuck on the cameras and the ecosystem. Instead of how the device can help you in your life. Not just entertain you. Apple has done an outstanding job of brainwashing people. Apple, is a social media device. Android is a productivity device. Stay productive people!

    • @AlexGTech
      @AlexGTech  7 месяцев назад

      I have to agree with you on that power user comment. I think a few people will actually stretch the iPhone and use certain apps to really push it, but when it comes to getting real work done, it's hard to beat something that can literally be used as a computer.

    • @Roberthawkins68
      @Roberthawkins68 7 месяцев назад

      @@AlexGTech absolutely, I just believe that these phones are so expensive now and are giving the title of being "smart" but Apple is milking people of their hard earned money, and giving them very little in return. If I'm giving you my money, I want everything. Even if it's not perfect,or i never use all of the features, I paid for it, so I want all of it. You often hear people say that they don't need all of the features that android has, not understanding that these companies will be very happy to give you less for more money. If you don't need it, don't use it. But at least you know it's there if you do. If you don't want your smartphone to do anything, you always have that option to not use those features, but please don't encourage them to take it away from us lol, because they will and we'll be paying them for the same thing that a $200 smartphone can do. I don't hate apple products, I hate that Apple control's a product that I paid for, that no longer own. When you buy an iPhone, you have to ask yourself. Do i own my device, or am I renting it. Continue to be the power user that you are brother, i enjoy your videos.

    It's too bad device this good has issues out of the box. Even if they fix display problem, I don't think camera software will get better with updates. Shutter lag alone made me sell my S23U. I used Samsung flagships only for 7 years, so I really couldn't deal with blurry pictures of moving subjects on every single device anymore. And that "we'll fix it with updates" Samsung strategy. I like your videos and your style and you trying to have honest approach and respect your opinion
    BUT
    first of all your sponsor is copying other people jobs ( copying jerryrig cases design) and you shouldn't be the guy for this company as you are better than this.
    2nd is again about the specific case model with stash camera stand...for people who use magsafe for s24 ultra or even in some cases wireless charger,that metal bump on the camera would be a big problem and you should have mention it.
    Regarding your video and comparing this 2 phones…
    I have to say I switched to iPhone from s23 ultra after over 10 years being with Samsung and Android in general and fairly happier here for some reason not mentioned in your video…but I also like s24 ultra a lot…if I wasn’t switched to iPhone 15 pro max recently I would be happy to get s24 ultra more than my current 15 pro max..
    BUT
    Again some stuff in Android world never going to be fixed as well iPhone world and some stuff in iPhone world is never going to be fixed on the same level as Android phones.. it is now really depends on the user and what people exactly need out of their smartphone..
    In general most of my problems with iOS is software rather than hardware and its restrictions which sometimes in very rare cases better than not having restriction…
    One final word is: Apple used to say you don’t have to have all the features…you have to have some features which works well.
    I now believe what their said many years back still stands. They don’t have all the features in iOS and their products in general, but when they have that particular feature USUALLY it works better than anything before them

    I still prefer both Motorola & Google Android's! I've used both Samsung and IPhone's and I personally think their both heavily overall overrated! Sure their both excellent device's but not worth their ridiculous price tags unless you get a decent deal or bargain buy with that being said I still do definitely prefer the Samsung phone's over Apple phone's but won't hate on the IPhone's even though I don't like the way their system operates with that being said they have decent and great quality build for the most part but I don't understand why Apple/IPhone doesn't improve the capabilities of their devices because overall their quality machines but I feel as the owner's and builder's of Apple products have got very lazy because they know they can still sell their Apple products with little or no changes at all whatsoever and still make a massive fortune from their loyal Apple followers and user's! I personally $ invest $ in Apple products because I know they have a LEGION of fans with that being said I do the same with Android products as well but yeah as of now I'm really interested and favor Motorola and Google device's overall as I really enjoy the overall user experience and atmosphere with their unit's the best!!! Regardless of what Cell phones you choose just make sure you're happy and comfortable with it and it suits your needs's as they all have their pro's and con's either way!!;

      hi there. I addressed this in a previous video about cases. In short, I've worked with them for years and have been a customer before doing RUclips videos. They owned up publicly and although can't share anything about the lawsuit, I trust they will put things right. What they did is wrong and I don't know exactly how it happened, but I've seen companies screw up before. The people suing Casetify themselves (dbrand) are not new to legal issues with copyright. (search Sony and dbrand). Sure, I could 'cancel' them based on the fact they made a mistake but I don't subscribe to cancel culture. I hope I am not wrong, but I'd love for them to turn things around and ensure that doesn't happen again. The same way dbrand became stronger after being threatened by Sony. Anyway, enough brand politics 😅 Hope you see where I am coming from, but respect you either way 🙏🏼

    • @AlexGTech
      @AlexGTech  7 месяцев назад

      yes indeed. I trust they will make things right and pay them what is owed. I spoke to them about this and they know they made a mistake. Everyone has a choice to make, whether to support or cancel. I know some of the people there and know how hard they work. They supported me when I had a much smaller channel, when plenty of other brands closed the door on me. People screw up. I hope I am not proven wrong, but I just don't like the idea of cancelling... I work with brands whose products I would use myself and products that I would have no issues recommending to my best friend. If they pass that criteria, they are cool with me.

    The main reason I switched to iOS and got the 15 promax is because of the battery. I’ve only ever used android since 2009 and I’ve got to say I don’t have a single regret with switching. What good are all the features on android if you can’t use them without having to charge your phone three times a day? The S22 ultra Ruined Samsung for me, I could barely get four hours of screen on time out of that phone and it was disgusting. It was feature packed, but by noon, if I didn’t have a charger, I was out of luck.
    That’s not the case with my 15 Pro Max, I can get almost 2 full days out of this phone with the way I use it. I know some will think I’m crazy for basing my opinion solely around battery life, but without decent battery, what good is the phone?

You can see of Samsung pouring their heart into these phones adding all these features and you’re wondering yourself why am I being loyal to a company is just really being lazy I mean look at Siri. It’s so bad it’s like impossible to make excuses for it and how can Apple charge premium money for a phone that has such a terrible assistant and then you download Google Assistant and it’s incredible I just think there are some things that Samsung does it make it really if you’re an intelligent person to deny and I’m proud of them, they worked hard and they should be rewarded for the features they’re giving customers I have every Apple product I have every single Apple product and I’m bored. There’s a problem with that if I have every product, I’m bored, so I think Apple needs to get their act together AI a super super super priority and add multitasking to their phones on every app

      You should make a video about that 🥰 Honestly, there are scenarios where the iPhone is great on the surface and will be plenty good for a lot of people, but the most telling aspect for me is noise in the dark areas. In that section where I talk about editing photos, where I pinch to zoom into the darker areas of the picture, you can clearly see the text is all pixelated and the dark areas are all mushy with nowhere near as much detail as the S24 Ultra...

    Both of them are intended for different audiences. I have always held the belief that the Ultra line from Samsung is geared towards a specific group of consumers who will utilize the phone as a top productivity device. I personally utilize the Spen almost daily at work, and I must say that once you have mastered its use, it's an excellent app. The voice recording feature now with summarization is particularly impressive, and the way it summarizes is quite startling...lol. In essence, my intent is to suggest that individuals should purchase mobile devices based on their actual needs for features. The S24 Ultra represents a significant advancement in productivity, while the iPhone seems to be a superior choice for media productivity.

    S24 ultra ❤

    Both phones are super similar in all areas so why do ppl upgrade? Usually the cameras. Dxo has the 24 ultra 4 points above 23 ultra. What can we take away?. The main sensor is the same. Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 doesn't do much for photography compared to 8 Gen 2 so the two devices are going to extremely similar in video and photos. Zoom. Is it really worth upgrading for different type of zoom? No, no it's not. The screen software and photo software in the 24 ultra are half baked and weren't ready for full release. 23 ultra still takes this. Much better deal.

      DXO used to be more reliable but just in the last few weeks I have to say, both cameras are very close indeed. And the S23 Ultra will be hard to follow, I agree. It already was superior in 2023 (hence my phone of the year choice), but I am starting to like the AI features for normal day to day use, and I hope they are not limited to S24U

      @@AlexGTech I heard the 23 ultra will be getting them as well in an update. I forget if It was from pocketnow or some other channel. I think what AI provides right now in a smart phone is so far beyond what 99% of what the population needs that it's extremely niche and not a reason to upgrade. I'm not saying the 24 ultra isn't a good device because it is but say like, Coming from the likes of the semi recent 22 ultra, it's a fairly mild jump, which if you have a 22 ultra, I don't think you should upgrade. Definitely not worth getting rid of the 23 ultra for. Way too small of an upgrade. Big improvements have been made since the 21 ultra however(paticularly in low light video) as I used to have that device(starting with the 23 ultra).

      No time yet. As a solo creator who still has to buy all of this stuff, I can only focus on what will return. If the channel keeps growing and with your support I am sure we can do that, maybe one day I will be able to get some people to help me so I can cover more brands...

    I didn't regret swtching to S23 Ultra last year, I get a lot more done in the same time. Multitasking, gaming and working from the same device, even as a desktop (DeX). I miss the way iPhone's cameras are easier to use, but once you adapt, you enjoy it. But the S24 Ultra still hasn't convinced me about the upgrade.

      Absolutely! DEX is such an underrated feature! I miss Airdrop every now and then but that's really about it now...

    I have the privilege of buying multiple flagships every year for the last 13 years. The S24 Ultra is a ZERO compromise phone. My 15 Pro Max does not even come close. My 2nd choice would be the Pixel 8pro.

      Right now I do think Samsung as a bit of work to do on photo/video but all seems software related. I can already see how much more detail and better image overall we are getting though. The iPhone for standard 4K video is still quite hard to beat for me, I have to say. But if you look at around 9:15 its a good example of how even in RAW MAX, the iPhone still produces quite a bit of noise in dark areas, in comparison with the S24 Ultra which kept the noise levels and didn't crush the details.

    Is it easy to transfer iOS to android? I’m switching, been unhappy with apple for years. Same phone over and over. I upgraded cuz my 11 pro ran out of space. S24 ultra on order

      Hi there! It's not easy at all. I know some people may say it is, but depending on how many other Apple devices (and services) you already have and use, as well as your family and friends... it could be a huge pain. Not impossible, but painful. I went through that journey recently and shared it in a few videos that might help you:

    You may want to distance yourself from casetify after what they did to Zack (jerryrig everything). Nothing worse then thieves!
    That said this was an outstanding comparison, the best i have seen honestly.
