lol, the only thing people miss about the iPhone is FaceTime and iMessage. For videographers I would say people miss the Log format as well as the high quality videos from the iPhone which still is industry leading. Saying that as a Samsung user myself and having an iPhone as well.
The Samsung Stocks Widgets is terrible. Also, no location based reminders ? Crazy that Android doesn’t have that feature. Also, setting an appointment in Apple calendars with a set time like 10:00 AM, and allowing the calendar to notify you on the time you should leave to make it by 10:00 AM is top tier. Apple calls it “travel time” in the app. Android doesn’t have a “travel time” option which totally sucks. These are features I use all the time, and wished they were on the S24 Ultra. I owned the S24U but without those features it wasn’t the best device for me. The hardware of the S24U is phenomenal and the screen is awesome. The speakers on the iPhone are better than the S24U though. Customization, battery life and fluidity of animations are wonderful on the S24U. It’s a beautiful phone, just some things that were missing that if they had, I would have definitely kept it. I consider it a better device than the 15Pro Max.
Great video, again, with the Google Photos app on iPhone you have the magic eraser and move the subject as well, and with a shortcut, you can have the circle to search feature, just saying (not a fanboy)
I love my S24 Ultra so much. All my iPhone user friends (even those who have the 15PM and 14PM) want me to take pictures of them. They prefer using my phone on our photos instead of theirs.
The dual picture/recording has been available for years on Galaxy Phones. I had it on my Note in 2015-16. I'm glad someone else finally talked about it
Switched already! The S23U was supposed to be the keeper. Now retired, the cellphone is a toy not a traveling companion. The reason this guy switched, “the antireflective screen alone” is the winner. Trying to use the camera, outside, in sunny Southern California was impossible. I could point it but focus and composition were a guessing game. Circle to search, useable. Using AI to improve my writing, needed. Note: the official Samsung cases, free though they were, are not the as previous years.
Alex, Another great video. I couldn't agree with you more. I made the switch from Apple to Samsung. Honestly, it's way more productive. Apple fans, you have to give it a try.
Coming from the S22 Ultra, this beautiful S24 Ultra has some heft that I can definitely feel & love. I really don't mess with AI because my S22 Ultra did basically the same. Open your gallery, then a photo, then tap on an object in that photo & click the "eye icon" top right & boom! Basically, Circle to Search
Yeah that Bixby Vision did a similar job for sure. They will probably remove that now. Like I said the S24U is incredible but all the AI features will become commonplace soon!
Everyone should subscribe to this guy he’s honest he’s down to earth. He works hard and his opinions make a lot of sense. Proud of you brother. 🏁❤️⚡️🤙👊
I believe what you mentioned about the color accuracy is only when Vivid mode is active. That's the main issue with the screen, and that issue has been resolved in the latest update, adding an option to set it up as vibrantly as the S23.
I will keep it simple anything but iDull 😀 Fabulous coverage and honest opinions. On a serious note having just purchased the S24u and comparing it to my other flagship I find it mighty impressive thus far.
Thanks Lee! I've just been playing with low light photos in London as had some time to kill this evening and it's a bit of a mixed bag 😅 but I've been mostly impressed with everything else!
I stay with my S23 Ultra. Love the phone, battery is great and the camera is awesome. I realy feel your point with the big phones... i love the feel without any cases... but when ever i go oit with the family or my dog, i snap on my rugged gadget cas from samsung. You can have a camera grip with a physical button on top for it with a little tripod inside. Ads a lot of grip for onehanded fotos or stability for great zoom pictures! Love your videos, greatings from zurich switzerland
I switched from my note 10 plus to s24 ultra. I like the features on it but samsung has to get the washed out screen fixed. I'm not feeling at the moment like I should
Wow, that’s a huge upgrade too! I hope the colours issue gets fixed soon, and the little video recording issues I found. Other than that it’s probably the best phone out there at the moment!
I hope I get the job for Chick-fil-A because I’m planning on switching to the s24 ultra from my iPhone 13 Pro Max maybe around like late July or August depending on how much I make. I’m so happy to know that the camera will be great on the s24 ultra.
Someone finally talks about the viewfinder on the S24U. I thought I was the only one who noticed the poor view, like a 720p image vs 1080p on an iPhone. Either way, the result is pretty good.
The s24 ultra isn’t my first android phone as I was a note user for years, but I went back to my iPhone 15 pro. I just like the ecosystem better and the look of IOS & ipadOS; simple, elegant and does what I need it to do. Speakers aren’t as great on the s24 ultra too. Apps are higher quality on apple devices as well. Also apple log video is so good to match my Sony 10bit cameras. 10bit colors is sweet to have on a phone.
I totally get that, sometimes all we need is a bit of a change right? Interesting what you said about the speakers though, I honestly think they are better, but maybe I need to test it with a few different apps. So far I only tried Netflix, Disney and RUclips. I agree on iOS apps being more polished, though that has largely changed for the apps I care about, and they honestly feel just as polished on OneUI. But a few still crash and behave weirdly on Android when they are fine on iOS. To me iOS just needs more productivity features really… but I know not every cares about that.
@@AlexGTech Hmm yes change can be fun or needed, the reason I went with the note series a years ago. No regrets goign android at the time and was loving the flexibility, but I was surprised with iOS once I got back with the iphone 15 pro max and again ipad. I'm finding the productivity sufficient for my needs (college, some editing and business). As for sound, I just find the iphone more richer and less tinny sounding when blasting music/movies without bluetooth speakers or headphones. The s24 probably has better highs though. Everyone's ears are different or has a preference. Enjoy your s24U! The phone is an absolute beast.
@@rattohcamera on the s24U sucks though, compared to the iPhone…if the subject is moving, even a little bit, you’ll get a blurry pic, not so with iPhone usually (happens sometimes though)
Whatta a video, great color grading great content as always, and ur smile is a cherry on top. Also pls link ur friend's video on spen in description, it's not there
Alex nice video, congrats! Please can you tell me about samsung fingerprint, does it work with a screen protector? Also witch is better samsung fingerprint or Apple face id? Thanks.
Switched to Iphone after 7 years of using only Samsung flagships. The only regret I have is that I should have done it years ago. Hardware power of my S23U did not really matter with endless waiting for software updates that were supposed to fix things. After 10 months (and pretty much the same experience I had on any previous Samsung) I just gave up and sold my S23U. From hardware point, yeah, Samsung devices are among the best money can buy. But all of that is pretty much useless considering mediocre software (terrible camera software was the main reason I gave up). I don't care about processor or ram memory speed if pictures of moving subjects end up blurry and unusable just like they did on my prehistoric S7 edge.
Been on iOS for 13 years. I’m the opposite. I’m so tired of the lack of basic features n functionality on iOS that I may switch to S24. We still don’t have a numbers row on keyboard or split screen multitasking. Also, tired of the 60hz n last years chip on base model. U get it all on Samsung for less money (at least the base model). Peace.
@@hhhmmmmmmmm yeah, I respect that. Samsung will feel refreshing. But same old "we'll fix it with updates" camera problems... I don't know, guess I got tired of listening the same story/lie all over again. If you get over pretty unpredictable (often unusable) camera experience, especially after all those years of using Iphone, I guess you'll love your new device. Good luck !
I think sometimes all we need is a change. I can see how iOS would feel like a nice change after 7 years. And I totally see your point on moving objects. I eventually ‘cracked the code’ on how to avoid that but it involves using Pro mode and manually setting the shutter speed and ISO to get the right balance between light and motion. Not great when you are trying to snap a quick photo of your kid or something. But in good light I found that issue to be easier to control. Samsung definitely needs to fix a few things on this one. It’s nowhere near as bad as the experience I had on the S22Ultra (exynos version) or the 14 Pro Max when they’re first came out, but it’s not as good as the S23U. The S23U for me was 99% there for the things I care about.
@@AlexGTech yeah, you're 100% right. I'm in Exynos region so I guess my expectations were high with Snapdragon. S23U had other problems, too. Vibration was just too soft, I had a lot of missed calls and notifications even after 10 months. Battery sometimes behaved very strange (one day I could get 5 hours of sot and 50% left, day after, with same usage, I had to charge my phone twice in 24 hours). And some weird bugs (apps closing, wifi connection problems, signal issues...) that never once happened with Samsung devices I used in past. I guess I could have learned a thing or two about Pro mode and all advantages with it, but, at least how I use the phone, I expect auto mode to work properly. I'm not in search for perfection, don't get me wrong. But pictures of moving subjects just have to be usable, and on Samsung devices, some of them really end up pretty bad. Competition solved it, and I think it's time for Samsung to make some major software (not only camera software) improvements and get maximum out of that great hardware. Thanks for reply and keep up the good work, your videos are on another level !
I watched your all videos but @ 3.80 I make up my mind to switch to S24. Actually I was watching videos from Last couple of days but honestly I was not satisfied by other ytubers reviews. Thanks Man for helping me. Coz I waited a lot to compare before buying
The update started rolling out in korea! we will get it in the states feb 22nd. this is already an amazing phone imagine after this big update. Loving my s24 ultra titanium gray.
Update looks good so far. It's been raining quite a bit over here so I haven't really had a chance to really test the cameras but the display colours are definitely much better now with the ability to change vividness. Thanks so much for your comment, hope you are doing well!
Hi Alex, and fellow Samsung Ultra users. I recently updated my software to UI 6.1 on my S23 Ultra. Unfortunately, this has resulted in massive battery drain, especiallywhen using youtube. It has been a topic of much disdain on Samsung forums. I would advise fellow S23 users who haven't yet updated not to do so for a while yet. My Ultra is down by 20% at the end of the day. For a flagship device it's extremely disappointing. Hopefully Samsung sort this soon. Another fabulous upload there Alex, be well🤜🏼🤛🏼.
Amazing!! The 14 Pro Max was my ‘last straw’ in 2023. I tried the 15PM again and whilst it’s much improved, I can’t really be as efficient on an iPhone as I can on the Galaxy phones. I do hope Apple brings some more productivity into iOS, competition is always good. How did you find migrating your Apple stuff over?
For me Alex has the most topnotch presentation and he is very consistent in all his videos. Its almost like he's reciting a poem. He surpasses all those big tech bloggers.
I am so sorry for the time it took me to respond to you! I just wanted to let you know that I read this comment on Monday last week and it MADE MY DAY! More than you you will ever know. Thank you 🥰
I haven't had a problem with the colours on my S24 ultra...The anti glare feature is a game changer ..New update is bringing in a new vivid mode to get more saturated colours
I was thinking sometimes about giving Ultra one more try. I had the S21 Ultra, and that was a really bad phone in my opinion. So, after that, I switched to iPhone. These days, I use the 15 Pro Max. But there is so much information everywhere that switching makes sense again. So, I have three points that are extremely important to me. I don't really use the Apple ecosystem; I just use iPad and Apple TV. My PC runs on Windows and would continue to be Windows in the EU, where we don't use iMessage. But features like Apple Watch, Apple Pay, and check-in are extremely nice, and Airdrop too. What about these features? Can I really use Google Pay and Samsung Watch the same way as iOS does? And what about connectivity? It feels to me that I can connect my iPhone to many more systems easier because there's almost always an iOS app.
I think in this case, it would make quite a bit of sense to try a switch. For me it was more difficult as I use a Mac and really enjoyed my Apple Watch Ultra. But after a few weeks of getting used to the mix (and now using a Garmin) I really don't miss it. The only I miss is Airdrop as the alternatives are not as smooth when working with a Mac. Samsung Wallet is pretty good, but if I had to choose one Apple Pay would still be better, it seems to respond quicker when opening it. Using it in stores to pay for things is absolutely fine though, just like Apple Pay. I haven't come across many apps that don't work. But there are some exclusive ones that may be a dealbreaker like Ulysses and Procreate which only work on iPad and iPhones.
Alex about that hand fatigue you need to review the s24+ no sharp corners and a great phone. Would like you to review the whole s24 lineup this year as Samsung has really stepped up on making the other phones in the lineup almost as good as the ultra.
Honestly, I really want to! I am so busy right now with my other jobs (non-RUclips related) that it’s hard to deviate too much. I will though, as soon as possible! Have a good one, and I appreciate you wanting to see my opinion on that 👊🏼
Filming, yes but not in all scenarios. I do think ProRes LOG (for Pros) is better than anything the S24U can produce. But everything else is either on par or better with S24 Ultra for me. Instagram is not great on the selfie camera though, thought the app. It makes everything over exposed and shaky (even more than recording the selfie video then uploading later). But using the main camera, the 4K quality is great and I think the S24U microphone sounds better too.
There is suppose to be updates for the camera and for the vivid screen coming out. It was already announced by Samsung so I wouldn't worry to much about it.
I switched from my NOTE 20 ULTRA to S24 ULTRA/ORANGE/1TB , unlocked & I'm soooo HAPPY is great phone like usual, i started with Samsung NOTE 1 back in day & still buying it ...GREAT phones with Technology & top notch quality always gives u alots Promotions/Discounts & trade in , Try that with that F*n Greedy Apple👎👎
Awesome video Alex. The camera looks amazing compared to my iPhone 13 mini. When you were moving the stylist across the screen it looked like the nib moved just a little bit. Is it pressure sensitive? You know I have to rely on dictation due to my visual impairment, but I just about had it with the dictation from Apple. It's getting worse and worse for me how is it on the ultra 24? Have a great week Alex👊😊
Thanks so much Don, yes the S-Pen is pressure sensitive. Honestly, the dictation on Samsung didn't use to be much better, but with the AI features is so easy now to correct spelling/grammar and even change the tone of the message that it really is hard to match on iOS. It's a learning curve, not gonna lie to you, moving from iOS but it's certainly refreshing in many ways. Wish I lived near you so I could let you have one of my devices for a few days to try it out! Have a great week ahead Don 🙏🏼
Not at the moment, pretty happy with it without a protector, the display is beautiful. I just need to be more careful as I already scratched the back of it 😬
@@AlexGTech Thanks for reply! I will give samsung a try this year, but i saw that everyone praising the screen doesn't apply any screen protector 😆 so i should go the same direction
This is a little bit of a contradicting statement but I think I known what you mean. If you've been used to the iPhone and have other Apple products its hard to find a decent alternative ❤
Is it just me , or the night time video lets say not a good quality on s24 Ultra ? Honestly i am thinking to change back to iphone if i cant fix that somehow .
I love your videos as always and the content keeps getting better and better. Would you recommend upgrading from a Z Fold 5 to the S24 Ultra or should I wait for the Pixel Fold and Z Fold 6? I would really like to know your honest opinion since I know you love your Z Fold 5 a lot.
Not sure about PIxel Fold to be honest. But I'd certainly wait for Fold 6 if you can. The Fold 5 is still amazing and not sure you'd get the same level of productivity on the S24U depending on how you use your Fold, of course
@@AlexGTech I agree to that as well. The Fold 5 for me is a productivity machine and the addition of Galaxy AI to it this year will take it to the next step.
Great video, Alex! I purchased the s24 ultra and all around, it's a great phone, but im experiencing a grainy display when using it at low brightness in a dark setting. Are you experiencing the same, and do you think this is a hardware defect? Thanks in advance, Alex!
I saw another RUclipsr mention this and tried it myself but I can't replicate the issue. Looks a little bit grainier but nothing like this guy showed, I wonder if its the wallpaper you're using maybe?
@AlexGTech I don't see it on my wallpaper, and neither do I see it when watching content. It's whenever I'm looking at a grey background, it's quite noticeable.
I’ll stick to iPhone regardless of all the hardware marvels and improvements that Samsung May come up with! I am to Apple’s security software and update system and all the help it has for us users!

I can’t blame you! I was in the same situation last year and ended up compromising on the AWU. I love it still but I couldn’t justify keeping the iPhone just for it. As it happens right now I still have the iPhone, but I got so used with Garmin watches that I don’t miss the AWU as much as I used to. But yeah, I don’t blame you, that combo is fantastic!

I’ve heard other people mention this whilst in extra dimmed screen mode. I haven’t see that and I use that mode every evening. What I did notice was Expert RAW issues when using 50MP in low light. Something not quite right there!
Whole S24 lane is just Samsung gimmick. Buy our new phones with exactly the same camera hardware like S22,S23... for the AI capabilities... 😂, for just 1400€. 0 reasons to upgrade from S23, unless you have some cash to throw away. I like the end of the video, when he advice not to just go for the upgrade unless you have much money to spend. S25 lane will be the actual upgrade of the S23, with new camera hardware, not just middle AI upgrade, and 18-th place camera, far behind many Chinese brand, and they're more to come with better results in next 1-2 months.

What made you think that? I have a PIxel, a Fold, a Flip, an Xperia 1 V. I review phones, bro 😆 but when you say 'user' it assumes that's my only device which is wrong. I don't even have a SIM on it right now.
I totally agree. I have every Apple product and I used to have Samsung Note phones a long time ago. And one thing I think is very true. True especially in this new age we live in is that we kind of need our computer everywhere. Meaning we really need a phone that can do multitasking that can be like a mini computer because sometimes we just don’t have the time to pull our laptop or pull our tablet And I would agree the Apple is trying to sell the laptop and trying to sell us a tablet so maybe they’re not trying to solve the problem on the cell phone because it wouldn’t help them. That’s why I’m seriously considering leaving Apple because it doesn’t take much to look at the Samsung phone go gosh how come Apple one of the biggest companies in the world isn’t giving these features to their customers, there must be a reason. @apple @samsung
Thanks man, yes today is a perfect example of that. I travelled to London for work (non-YT related) and all I took was the phone and a lightweight display with Dex. Absolutely beautiful from a travel and work perspective. The iPhone has its benefits too, but I feel that to get stuff done on a single device, Samsung has nailed it. Apple ultimately (imo) has moved into a model that wants us to buy more of their gear and get it all working together, whereas Samsung seems to be more flexible and just give customers lots of functionality even if they don’t necessarily need it.
Hey bro, I think you’re so right on about this and I think that the busier and busier world gets the more we’re gonna need to have devices like Samsung that make working and traveling and flexibility easier and I think you’re right you’ve been on a good point your video the Apple does want to sell us multiple devices. They don’t want to sell us one device That can do it all because then they would make less money. I actually think it’s worth making good video on because I’ve been thinking about this for a while and why I’m planning on letting my Apple devices out and get into the Samsung ecosystem. How do you feel like the apps are on android. I’m sure for a premium which I don’t mind paying. You can get most of the same apps so you can find on Apple. Get away from Apple. I feel like they’re so boring and I just don’t feel like even with iOS 18 anything will change
Same I’m actually waiting for iOS 18. If it doesn’t provide basic features n it’s only a facelift, I’m out. Mostly, I’m curious about Siri n ai, if it’s greatly improved n mostly on device for privacy reasons. Upselling is apple’s business model. Also, they r marketing experts. How else can do many of us pay more for so much less. Still waiting on a numbers row on keyboard😂😂😂
I think the 14 Pro Max is still a great phone. I didn’t have a great time with it to be honest, but it was mostly iOS related. It’s way more stable now and the cameras are awesome still, great battery, etc. Like I said, if it doesn’t work financially I’d stay with it, because the improvements are clear but perhaps not worth losing money over them

Right!? I'm sure they could fix that, given how much processing power this thing has...
Also pls link ur friend's video on spen in description, it's not there
Thank you! Have added his channel in the description now 👊
Nice video! Would you recommend upgrading from fold 4? I'm tired of it's hinge issues
You will miss the convenience of the folding aspect... but gain in performance and camera quality for sure!
What issues are you facing? I haven't faced any with my Fold3.
Actually I was watching videos from
Last couple of days but honestly I was not satisfied by other ytubers reviews. Thanks Man for helping me. Coz I waited a lot to compare before buying
Another great even handed review. Well done.
Glad you liked it, thank you so much!
Ive been a iphone user my whole life last iphone i had was the 14pro max just upgraded to the s24 ultra and omg this thing is amzing
Wow!! I'm jealous of you, that's an amazing feeling!
I switched from Iphone 13 pro to S24 ultra.. I just loveeeeee this phone. Its not perfect but honeslty very close.
I agree, a few issues to solve in the camera software and maybe battery too, but mostly it's the best out there
Hi Alex, and fellow Samsung Ultra users.
Upgraded from 14 pro max to S24 ultra!!! I love this phone
Thank you 🥰
We now have a Really Smart Phone, a TV, A DSLR Camera & a Computer that fits in your pocket! 👍
Just incredible value really!
I haven't had a problem with the colours on my S24 ultra...The anti glare feature is a game changer ..New update is bringing in a new vivid mode to get more saturated colours
Really great news about that vivid vividness option, I mentioned it at 2:14. And I agree, using this outside or near windows is so much better now!
Have a good one, and I appreciate you wanting to see my opinion on that 👊🏼
Great video as usual, the S24U is a beast!
Couldn't agree more! Thank you!
Filming, photos, Instagram. Are these better than iphone (15 pro max)?
Amazing upgrade!!
At least in Android, you get to see the wallpaper you chose. Thanks for the sensible review!
My pleasure! OneUI has gotten so good now!
And so sorry about the delay in getting back to you, I had one of those weeks 😅
One of the best content makers with another review 🙌🏽

Hi,
nice video
do you have glass protector on s24 ultra?
Not at the moment, pretty happy with it without a protector, the display is beautiful. I just need to be more careful as I already scratched the back of it 😬
@@AlexGTech Thanks for reply! I will give samsung a try this year, but i saw that everyone praising the screen doesn't apply any screen protector 😆 so i should go the same direction
@Mehrdad_G Watch Jerryrigseverything durability test of the S24U, I don't think it needs a screen protector for scratches
Everything what you say in this review is good. But Iphone is Iphone it's another level.
This is a little bit of a contradicting statement but I think I known what you mean. If you've been used to the iPhone and have other Apple products its hard to find a decent alternative ❤
Another level lmao Samsung Dex is the 🎤 drop alone.
@@queenbubalicious you will use dex only once or twice and never again, your pen also. I have both phones Iphone ans S24U and Iphone is next level.
Love your content 🎉
Nice video. Keep it up!
Watching on my violet S24 Ultra still with no case. The phone is so good and elegant that I refuse to put a case on it. 😅
Right?! Living on the edge! 🤣

This is such an amazing video. You have convinced me, I'll be getting the S24 Ultra. I'm done with apple this time
Thank you so much, I am glad my vide helped you!!
I’ll stick to iPhone regardless of all the hardware marvels and improvements that Samsung May come up with! I am to Apple’s security software and update system and all the help it has for us users!
You hit a great point there on help to users, Samsung has some work to do in that space, for sure!

I would love to switch back to Samsung I haven’t been with Samsung since the note 20 since I got rid of the note lineup but it’s 24 I do want but Apple got this Apple Watch Ultra and I’m in love with it so maybe next year
I can’t blame you!

S24 is a joke coming from a Fold4 for typing. Its a camera and nothing else tbh
Hard to replace that convenience of the Fold to be fair...
I like the old way when you had to scratch out your ex with a pen

I was good with switching till you got to the part of money. Will it's to late o sent my 14 pro max off 😮
I think the 14 Pro Max is still a great phone. I didn’t have a great time with it to be honest, but it was mostly iOS related. It’s way more stable now and the cameras are awesome still, great battery, etc. Like I said, if it doesn’t work financially I’d stay with it, because the improvements are clear but perhaps not worth losing money over them
