- Now that Cosmic Fury ended the 30-year long journey of Power Rangers as we know it, it's anyone's guess to where they'll take it next. But what if they decide to use one of the un-adapted Super Sentai series for their reboot? In this video, I go into how possible a Power Rangers adaptation could be for the remaining, untouched Sentai series!

The whole Cop Rangers thing itself aside. I think the best way to go about with LuPat would be to make it less thieves vs cops that the Sentai is, and more Lawfull/By the book vs Reckless. Have them both chase the same goal without knowing about it at first, and learn from eachother. For example the Lupinrangers will learn to have more restraint/to consider the consequences of their actions; and the Patrens will learn to trust their instincts more over always going by the book and hesitating. Something along those lines.
That sounds cool! The lupin's can vigilantes that get in the pat's way.

Or they can make the lupin team more of a double agent or a spy team instead of thieves.

Meanwhile, Paw Patrol's movie makes bank and was called "copaganda" because the main character is dressed as a cop. People would call Lightspeed the same thing along with Time Force if they actually watched it.
Honestly something that has always kept me coming back to Don Brothers as an adaptation is making the 6th Tommy's son. Instead of having him switching between two personalities, he switches between his dad's two main powers: Dragon and Tiger.
Doesn’t JDF have a daughter? I had the 6th be female for my Donbros adaptation. (That can help fit your concept of the Tommy link into the real world)

It'd probably help that because they're so monochrome in their colors it'd be easier to budget painting them. With the exception of SpiderKumonos.
Simon isn't working on Power Rangers anymore. And if the reboot flops, Hasbro or whoever might buy the franchise is NOT spending that much money on CGI backgrounds or filming 100% original footage.

yeah but the go-busters/beast morphers suits still follow the "streamline, stunt-capable" aspects found in every other sentai/pr season. the king-ohger suits are a lot more heavier (look-wise at least)
Honestly, The only reason that Lupat is considered as unadaptable is that at the current (Often lackluster) quality of writing, Power Rangers can't be a Morally nuanced show
I think it can work if they made the story a tad different, maybe instead if criminal vs police, they could make it undercover vs first responders,
The lupins are hired by the police force to steal the lupin collection before they are used to cause destruction,
While the patos are trying to protect the people and get them to safety,
With the only time they clash is when they get in each others way,
TLDR i think if they just change the story a bit, it can be a great show
they can use original suits but with the lupin/pat monsters.
Is it because of the fact the show has active police as protagonists in an anti-cop Era?

You guys are forgetting that Hasbro and everyone else is trying to step away from super Sentai,they want to create thier own rangers with thier own stories but without super Sentai they have no stories,the only reason power rangers lasted this long is because they used footage,mechs , monsters and stories from super Sentai.
One interesting concept I have heard for a potential Zyuohger adaptation is to have the storyline revolve around videogames, playing into the cube aesthetics of the zords looking like something out of minecraft. you could even play 8-bit music during the fight scenes and superimpose Scott Pilgrim-style onomatopoeias onto the sentai footage!
The monsters of the week all have motifs of some sort of game or challenge, so that works too.

I do have a fun idea to adapt Zyuohger tbh. SO:
18 years ago, a man and his 4 friends are out hunting in Africa. This man is begrudgingly going along with this, not really wanting to hunt anyone. But suddenly, an alien ship crash lands close to their camp and inside are 7 animal-like Aliens: Animaliens.
18 years later, we focus in on Andrew, a directionless senior. His father owns the largest and most humane Zoo in the world, taking up a good 40% of the city they live in. Along with Andrew's father, he works at the zoo with his four adoptive siblings. Though Andrew doesn't exactly want to follow in his father's footsteps. Sure he loves animals and he wants to have a job where he's compassionate like his father, but he's been resentful of his father for quite some time due to his father's fame.
Enter the Power Rangers: a group of 4 heroes who've become urban legends around the city. Andrew looks up to them because of their compassion. Though as the Zoo's attacked one day, Andrew discovers that the Rangers are his siblings, and his siblings are Animaliens. Andrew takes a spare morpher to fight with them, finding his real passion then and there. He becomes the Red Ranger of the (ig if we're taking your name) Beast Breakers!
so, just to explain a bit more on characters, mainly our main 5:
Andrew: The only human part of our team and our Red. A lot has been mentioned about him already, but he's a good and pure Ranger fanboy. He loves them because they protect the world. Though as he finds out the Rangers have been his family this whole time, and his father's been helping them, he gets a tad bit apprehensive. He wants to be part of this life, and now he has to prove that he's worthy of his colors.
Kyle: The Elephant Animalien and Green. The Animaliens' planet was one of the first to have a system like the SPD, having Rangers patrol the streets and take down crime. He was one of these policing Rangers, a rookie in comparison to the seniors he worked under. He's by-the-books, contrasting a lot with this team that's very unorthodox for plenty of reasons. Though he's the most book smart and strategic, often taking on the field-leader position.
Sarah: The Shark Animalien and Blue. Not unlike earth, the Animalien world is sometimes very unfair. Sarah's grandmother got the equivalent to cancer. Though the planets' lead scientists were creating a cure from a mystery spore. As Sarah and another were trying to steal it, they got caught. As punishment- like the ancestors of the planet- she and her partner were sent to earth. Sarah's headstrong and determined about her goals, wanting to get back home to her grandma as soon as possible.
Leo: The Lion Animalien and Yellow. As Sarah's partner in crime, he went along with her plan. Leo isn't totally technically smart or street smart, but he does have a good and loyal heart. So of course he wanted to help Sarah. As they were exiled, they were transported by five Rangers. Three of which went missing after the night they crashed. Though Leo was the first to pick up a Morpher to help the people of earth.
Cleopatra: The Tiger Animalien and White. She was another Ranger on her home world, mostly because her father was one as well. It makes sense how she'd follow in his footsteps. Though she wasn't particularly happy about it. She wanted to lead her own life. Sure, she might have inevitably became a Ranger, but she wanted that to happen naturally. So as the team got to earth and started picking out their own names, Cleo chose the one that spoke to her most: Cleopatra.
To me, I think Power Rangers can adapt Zenkaiger if it takes an approach to focusing on the Kikainoids storyline. I think Power Rangers could benefit from having more ambitious ranged storylines compared to what we have nowadays, have the main hero be like Nate from Beast Morphers and the kikainoids be Steel from Beast Morphers but 4x.
Though that could just be me thinking Power Rangers can afford to be more flexible. If Hasbro can make Transformers HUGE TRANSFORMING MECHA ROBOTS. I think Zenkaiger can have the chance to make Power Rangers seem cool because people LIKE robot characters. All you need is a good story that makes sense to the theme.
Great points! I feel like a strong majority of people are very stuck on the traditional and conventional Ranger types, so it would still be a rough adjustment. But people do like robots, and Hasbro does own the leading robot brand out there, so who knows? 😄
I don't want Cosmic Fury to be the last season.

LuPat could work really well if they actually use this as an opportunity to teach kids about the police, both the good and the ugly. Kids are at some point going to learn about the police, so they might as well use this as a learning opportunity. Also: idc what anyone says, it'd be such a missed opportunity to not make this into a soft sequel to SPD.
or a sequel (prequel-timeline wise) to Time Force / Hyperforce.
Unfortunately, that's flat out cop-aganda, and the heat from that would be just too much, or going down the corrupt cops road could be even worse. but it's a damn shame, since it would still work in most 'non-usa' places

Great idea. The colors were the same, and they could even bring Billy back, since he was supposed to be developing the Turbo powers in the movie in 97.
Zenkeiger can be Zordon’s planet. The robots are similar to Alpha except they’re designed for combat.

Kyuranger adaptation idea: What if they explain each ranger actually used to be part of their own respective ranger team but are the only surviving member? Think of it like The Avengers (Arangers) coming together to fight a common foe
The surviving rangers from each team coming together to fight the PR equivalent of Jark Matter
This would be very cool! Could definitely open it up to tell more stories about those teams too, and build up emotional weight in uniting against a common foe!
Another issue with adapting Zyuohger now is of course the fact that Naria and Buglay have been adapted as characters in Cosmic Fury, which isn't impossible to work around, but definitely makes it a tad more challenging with how prominent of a villain Bunglay was in that season.

@@hollyredmond8688 that's actually a good question. I think he was, but I don't actually remember. I suppose either way, they could revive him like they usually do now that I think about it if they do ever adapt Zyuohger and wanted to use Jozotic more.

Naria can be worked around. She primarily appeared in the enemy command center. Which PR often changes anyway. Bunglay's counterpart Jozotic is still alive. The last we see him is fighting the Scuttleworms. But he's never killed onscreen. So he can still be brought back in the future.
I would love to see Zyuohger,Kiramaiger and King Ohger adapted into Power Rangers, hopefully Hasbro could come back to adapt Sentai again as well as working on the reboot in the future. 😎🙂👍

It's disapointing they're moving their production from New Zeland to Canada, I think a King-Ogher adaptation would have benefitted from that. Thats where they shot Lord of the Rings!

King Ogher would have to have been completely reshot to be made for Power Rangers. Because it took place over multiple countries and different backdrops it there aren’t many places where you can shoot to mimic it.

And it’s out of the question if it’s expensive because they already cheap out on the zords in cosmic fury and once and always.

Re:your LuPat idea, I can definitely see a shared morphing sequence similar to Ninja Storm's, with the two teams saying one line each, and then one all together.
I think the reboot will flop until they decide they will go back adaptations. I think they should adapt kiramager because that series doesn’t seem too unusual compared to the other ones. They could make it as a back to basics story with a new story arc. Then the next season could be an adaptation of King Ohger where in that series, it could establish a new world that the series. Maybe a city all around the Power Rangers that might connect to the shows that took place during the future like Time Force and SPD. If they are able to add Lupinranger and Patranger they cloud make it a sort of prequel to SPD.
King Ogher would have to be 100% reshot in order to be made for Power Rangers. More than half the show was shot behind a green screen as the show takes place across multiple locations and that would be very difficult to recreate.
Doesn't help that it takes place in a semi-feudal fantasy world.
For LuPat, here in Indonesia when it aired, they changed Lupinranger theme as a Trasure Hunter instead of a Thief.
No adaptation or re-take the scene, just straight up LuPat but Indonesian dub and it's still fit them
In my opinion Kiramager seems like the easiest and most clear cut one to adapt. The suit designs, mechs, changers, the color line up and roster count seem to fit very well with a lot of past rangers seasons. I do disagree that just because it's series with a goofy/flashy tone, than that will make it difficult to adapt. Keep in mind that Power Rangers Turbo and RPM are both series that were able to take a sentai series that were heavily comedic in tone(Carranger and Go-Onger) and turn them into more serious and grounded show.
They can use the kirameiger adaptation as a explanation on what happened to the zeo crystal after zeo since it never got destroyed,they could say that these are evolved version of the zeo powers
I don't think the number of rangers in Kyuranger would be a problem if such an adapted series were given more than what Cosmic Fury was afforded, given Cosmic Fury is another end-of-PR like Space and RPM but much shorter and a covid production.
I also think Zenkaiger would be cool to adapt and could work with heavy modification. It could take on a similar plot to Shattered Grid. The ranger suits could take on more original designs with the actual zenkaizer suits being the special form or zord form like mystic force/magiranger's titan forms. I imagine such original suits obviously being based on the origin series (i.e. based on each red ranger) with zenkaiser's counterpart getting a new design altogether (maybe keep the suit but new helmet)
edit: I'd name such a series something along the lines of Mighty Morphin Mecha Rangers or Mighty Mecha Power Rangers since such a series would be filled with callbacks the title might as well reflect that.
My idea on how to adapt Toqger is to have the setting be in Europe. Before you bring out the pitchforks hear me out. To my knowledge trains are more common in the everyday picture in Europe so to me it makes sence. Have the main base of operation be in Germany, you know central Europe. The main villian (were they called the Shadow Line?) could have already conquered America and Asia hence why they operates from Europe. Throughout the serie they´d visit european contries and gaining allies for a defence/counterattack against the Villians (maybe throw in some educational stuff about each of those contries)
For Kirameiger I was thinking it had to do with scientists finding the Zeo-crystals or Energems and give them new life and purpose
That would be interesting! Very intriguing to have it based in Europe- I wonder if they’d go not just to European countries, but around the world too? Feel like it’d be a great message, like train tracks connecting the world!

What about Zyuohger?
If I'm going to completely honest, I think I prefer Hasbro adapting the skipped Super Sentai seasons instead of doing three Dino Fury seasons. Think about it; this would have been easier for us if Hasbro would adapt the skipped Sentai seasons after Beast Morphers like ToQger (Even though I've been told trains aren't not as popular as dinosaurs in the states. But I still think it's a good idea), Zyhouger, Kyuranger, Lupinranger VS Pateranger, Kirameiger, Zenkaiger, Donbrothers AND King-Ohger while keeping Dino Fury through only ONE season after the adaption of Lupinranger VS Pateranger and before the adaption of Kirameiger. That way, we won't have, what I like to call, a Dino Fury trilogy franchise, AND it can be a way for Hasbro to fix the mistakes that Saban did
I wonder if a Zenkaiger adaptation might be considerably more plausible with some tweaks:
I imagine an adapted Zenkaiger morpher as having two modes. Ranger Mode produces Zenkaizer, ZenkaiRed, or one of three PR-exclusive recolors. Zord Mode produces Super Zenkaizer or one of the Kikainoid Zenkaigers- the idea is to replicate Mystic Force's Zord morph ability with technology instead of magic. At first, Ranger Mode only works for humans, and Zord mode for robots- the morpher locks the other mode until all the necessary safeties have been developed and implemented.
The Ranger Gear system could have started off as a Zord-focused spinoff of Ranger Keys- this is why the Zord Modes are all based on past Zords. However, the old Megazords were redesigned from five-piece gestalts into single-unit transformers because the ability to split into five smaller bodies is useless when you only have one mind controlling them all.
For the suit design, Goranger and JakQ may not be part of Power Rangers, but the Zenkaizer suit looks very Rider-like- if the mentor figure is originally from Edenoi, home of Alpha 5 and Masked Rider, then the look could be inspired by the old heroes of his home world. Also, a white ranger who turns into the Dragonzord? Sounds like this morpher was made for Tommy Oliver, doesn't it? And having a full sentai's worth of colors on one suit could reference Tommy having worn a full sentai's worth of suits!
As for the forehead numbers, that could just be explained in-universe as hardware revision numbers, meant to be removed when the equipment got out of beta testing, but it never happened because the morphers were deployed early.
*Edit: To head this off in case of a response, I'm well aware that sadly, Tommy wouldn't be able to actually use that morpher for obvious IRL reasons. Still, might be a good opportunity to put a relative of his into the limelight.
Counterpoint: Zenkaiger has Juran to represent MMPR.
Honestly, Power Rangers adapting Super Sentai was an extremely outdated practice, and I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did.
In 2023 them still adapting Sentai, with how all they do is dubbed anime and subbed it & keep everything else, why are we still adapting Sentai.
My idea for LuPat is to make the Patrangers a private security team, possably even part of the silver gaurdians. They all joined because they survived monster attacks in the past, meanwhile the Lupin rangers are a rebel group of the monsters fighting for peace, but the Patrangers struggle to trust them. As for X he trusts the monsters, because he was once saved by a monster that turned good so he knows they're redeemable.

Yeah i remember the main reason Hasbro is like no to lupinranger and patranger. political climate towards police and police brutality and the idea of presenting a Ranger team as criminals being "problematic.
There's definitely a precedent on how Hasbro views trains too. Even Transformers barely does them. The only time we ever get mass retail transformers that turn into trains are always triple changes like Astrotrain. Because you've always got the 2nd mode that will appeal to kids more than the train mode. The last time we had a train transformer in the mainline was RailRacer back during RID2001. And they've gone on record saying they didn't want to revisit him because he sold so badly. Seriously the Transformers team says no one is off the table when it comes to what characters get made, but I'll believe that when I see it because we haven't gotten any purely train transformers in the main line.

@@KingZoru_VT It sucks man. I loved trains as a kid thanks to Thomas. And always wanted a PR team themed around trains. Now that we got one in Sentai I hate that we can't get them in the west because kids these days have bad taste. Though I will admit I think Toqger would be one season where I'd say we should have original suits. If only to spruce up the designs more so they're less plain. They're only plain for budgetary reasons to do the line change gimmick. Which I don't know if that would be that appealing over here. Especially since they're probably still allergic to the idea of a male pink ranger.
A Japanese show about trains is hard to adapt to America because not every city in America has trains, except New York.
It's hard to believe that there won't be anymore adaptions from Super Sentai Series since the writers and producers have decided to move away from them and make plans to do a reboot version which I really don't know how it's going to work out. But I still wished they continued to more Super Sentai Series into the next Power Rangers Series like Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger, Mashin Sentai Kiramager and Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger because I always wanted to see the version adapted into the next Power Rangers series storyline.
Maybe we might see another adaption in the future.

If they ever adapt Zenkaiger it would be a sequel to Super Megaforce like Beast Morphers is a stealth sequel to RPM.

I have an idea on how they can adapt Kyuranger. First, make the rangers fewer and focus on the 5-core rangers. Plus, they can use the other zords of the other Kyurangers by simply making it auxiliary zords instead. Because on the sentai footage, there are shots of some zords in Kyuranger that are not combined with others.

I couldn’t agree with you less. Designs don’t matter as long as the story is good. Rpm is a prime example of this. Those zord designs are not the best l, but because of the story people are able to look past it
Oh yeah I agree, designs shouldn’t be the main deciding factor and it really depends on how well the story complements it! I just think the designs and visual aesthetics are the first layer people need to get through before the story. But very good point!

If Pokemon was brave enough to do a Momotaro theme, then Power Rangers may be able to pull it off as well.

I'd disagree with the King-Ohger being passed. For years the PR writers have wanted to get away from Earth and look at other planets that have their own set of Rangers. Heck, most of the comics have the Rangers off-planet. Them being Kings I don't think would be a problem. Either re-work the story so they're just knights or have them do something else. I'd also avoid any connection to SPD.
For LVP, I would just call it Power Rangers Phantom Rangers vs. Enforcer Rangers. Go more for the battle style.

I'm still rooting for King-Ohger to be the next adapted 31st season and same for Kiramager, Zhougher, ToQger and Boonboomger for later on.
Going series by series from what we skipped over, and assuming we don't reuse assets, there's some reasons we can't use certain series;
-ToQger: The suit for one of the key villains, Madame Noir, was used as Void Queen in Dino Fury, additionally, trains are not as culturally significant to the youth in the US as they are in Japan (that and the primary zord's boner attack would be very questionable outright)
-Zyohger: Something I'm sure many of the adult viewers noticed outright, but one of the dance villains in episodes 3 and 4 of Cosmic Fury, Jadana, was Zyohger's Naria and Naria was a pretty pivotal villain as she was the one responsible for making the villains grow.
-Kyuranger: Already semi-adapted as the decision was made to use this series's zord footage for Cosmic Fury.
-Lupin/Pat: This is probably the one of the whole lot that would be the most plausible to adapt, but the idea that one half of the rangers have a thief motif and the implications that there would be power rangers committing crime (not the first time a power rangers character in series would have been or had a criminal background, but not active criminals as in Lupin/Pat), and their combating the police ranges would invoke the idea of police brutality. One of the villains in Cosmic Fury used suit of a Lupin/Pat villain, but it was a one episode villain who's footage could easily be skipped.
-Kiramager: This one's an easy one, the villain suits suuuuuuck. The ground form of the "villain of the week" is nothing but a guy in a morphsuit wearing a cape and mascot head. I'm honestly surprised this flew, even by Japanese standards. As for the toys, I've seen reviews of the mecha and for some reason, they seemed very "cheap", even more so than comparing PR to Sentai toys.
-Zenkaiger: Being an anniversary season, this one could work, but as mentioned, the suits would be harder to work around, not just for the core team but Twokaiser as well. Zox's inspiration is the 35th anniversary, Gokaiger. Everything Zox does is pirate themed, but in the US, they butchered that by making one of the better (albeit overused imo) teams in sentai teams in the show's history, the "super" form to arguably one of PR's worst teams and seasons.
-Don Brothers: This one is a weird one. As a sentai, it lost points for me because it used ideas from both Gokaiger and Zenkaiger, despite not being an anniversary season, and used them literally right after an anniversary season. (Gokaiger's "become the ranger" changes and Zenkaiger's tandem use of gears AND gun morpher). Don Brothers, even in series, is based on the legend of Momotaro, Japanese folklore that wouldn't hit as easily with a western audience.
-King-Ohger; Like Lupin/Pat, this one actually works easily enough. A lot of the footage was actually done on stages and used heavy cgi, so adapting the non on-location footage would be as simple as getting a stage, crew, and green screening the hell out of the unmorphed bits. Saves time and money.
I would adapt King Ohger as a prequel series to Lost Galaxy like they intended with Lightspeed and call it Power Rangers Hive:
For an adaption of Donbrothers and learning into the VR/cyber aspect of it while also playing on the almost circus-like pageantry at times, I suggest it be called Power Rangers: VR Troupers! Or maybe I just saw an opportunity for a VR Troopers reference~

Hopefully they’ll include the unadapted Sentai suits and incorporate them in the boom comics current run.

A very nice and insightful video but if you were to ask me then I honestly feel like kingohger would be the first choice if hasbro was to go back and adapt sentai again.
My first reason as to why they would adapt kings is that if you were to compare kingohger with the other unadapted sentai; it will be the most recent and the most basic to do. You could argue that the use of green screen could provide a challenge but if you reserve that for just stock footage of mecha fights and a very small precentage of ground fights then this shouldn't be an issue.
You also note that the sword changer provides a challenge. But keep in mind that we just got Dino Fury who use swords as their primary weapon choice (and which hasbro made toys of too). So this would not be much of a challenge at all.
Secondly; hasbro could take advantage of the many mecha that are in the King-Ohger. I think with this they could sell a decent mecha toys.
Thirdly; I don't think the suits would be much challenge. In the aspect of toys; they would for the most part use same moulds if hasbro were to make action figures out of this. Moreover; beast morphers and cosmic fury both have the aspect of both non spandex suits and armour. So this too would not be much of a challenge. Also if you take a look closely in the kingohger footage; they do have a spandex suit for stunts/warmer weather conditions.
You also bring the argument of there being a political climate but regardless of what sentai we get; it is very likely that hasbro would just write a fresh story rather than copying and pasting the kingohger story.
If the reboot flops, Hasbro or whoever might buy the franchise is NOT spending that much money for CGI backgrounds or filming 100% original footage.

They can definitely rework the story too to try and out their own spin on it, but I think if they deviate too far from the king aspect, it may feel a bit off.

Any Sentai can be adapted with the right tools & imagination. That said, I'd adapt, all the skipped seasons B4 Zenkaiger. In cases of Toqger & LuPat, I've figured ways around the issues they present. Let's just say the trains can be more than that & LuPat, well my channel covered that in a video. There is a lot to talk about with this subject.

Since ZenithFilmsMedia are adapting those Sentai I think whatever they’re doing should keep it up. They adapted Kiramager into Gem Paladins, they’ve also adapted ToQger into Rail Riders and they’ll soon adapt ZyuOhger into Beast Hunters. You should totally thank ZenithFilmsMedia for adapting those Sentai as Power Rangers.
Without them we might never see an American adaptation. I also really like what they’re doing, plus the theme songs are so freaking good!

I like the idea of lupinranger vs pataranger being a sequel of sorts to spd even maybe bringing back some of the characters from spd like sky as the mentor for the patarangers or jack as a mentor for the lupinrangers I think it could be pretty interesting personally
I’d rather they never bring up SPD if this season was made.
For Zyuohger, the way they can get around for adaption, both the cube goofiness of the zords/megazords, be able to include all Zyuman scenes (at least those when interacting with Sentai/Ranger costumes), and the "continue" aspect for the enemies.. Four athletic students from a school are invited to be the first people to test out a new augmented reality device similar to a Star Trek holodeck, as Alpha testers. A newish student who is a bit of a fan but also wants to learn to be like them tags along. The lead programmer, who is completing his late partner's work, explains that the program installed is a game to allow people to experience what it is like to be Power Rangers. They don't have the Red Ranger programmed in yet, but the other four colors are available, hence why they only asked for four students. However, all the code is there and each color is randomized and given to the first cube collected per player.
Only, the villain has apparently become sentient and takes over the system, spreading across the city and taking over the facility. The programmer determines that the only way to stop them to collect the cubes and defeat the enemy as they would in the game. The villains believing that they may be able to become real by doing the same. They detect a high concentration of cube energy at the local Animal Preserve... but don't know how to get in. That's when the fan mentions that his uncle (who is also his legal guardian) runs the place and he has a key.
The four athletes collect the first 4 cubes and become rangers, but the villain turns out to overpower them. The fan grabs a cube and through sheer force of will, becomes the Red Ranger. After defeating the villain, they set up "base" at the Preserve, all taking jobs there as cover, the programmer even becoming a web designer. The uncle knows something is up, but at first doesn't let on because he too has a secret. It's discovered about midway through the season that the reason Red was able to force himself to become a ranger, as well as change with different powers, is because he is actually the original programmer's prototype sentient program. The villains didn't spread magically, apparently, the system had been designed in a way to let him explore the city.
In the end, he sacrifices himself to defeat the villain, while the rest of the team destroys the program from within. However, as he begins to fade away and says goodbye to his friends, just as he willed himself into being a ranger, he somehow wills himself into becoming human, and stops fading away.
Very interesting take! I can tell you spent a lot of time working through this story and making it so it retains its animal roots while exploring the cubes in a very technological way. Very creative!

I had developed the idea (though this was a off the top of my head retelling) as a way to pitch through an agent to Saban to give me a chance to write an episode. After all, if one can write a concept that could make an awkward fit work, he might be worthy of given a chance (along with a spec script from a Supergirl episode at the time). Sadly, then it was sold to Hasbro and with everything in flux, I never had the chance.

Plot twist: Adapting Kamen Rider Saber as Power Ranger =))
Recently I've been getting interested in tokusatsu, and stumbled upon the Lupin rangers intro. First, I had no idea some power ranger/sentai series never made it to the West. Second, I never knew an intro could go so hard! I want to check it out if there's an english sub available because the intro, and story potential has me hooked.
Lupinranger Vs Patranger opening is fire. Each one of the two vocals is singing about one of the two teams, so you can listen to both of them individualy, but together they complement each other perfectly.
We need Power Rangers Kingship. The Sentai show has such great costumes, I think it would draw fans back to PR, including myself.
Power Rangers Phantom Justice is the only name of yours that I liked.
With Kyuranger, I genuinely feel like they could just have 6 Rangers in the team (which is what tends to happen anyways) and have each of them get 2 different Morphed forms. Regarding the personalities of the 12 individual Rangers in Kyuranger, you could easily just adapt traits of their characters and combine them in good and subtle ways for the team of 6, that way there isn't a need for 12 different civilians. The issue that would arise is likely the Zords and Megazord, especially with them being adapted into Cosmic Fury as main mecha for the team.

Dairangers should have also get a proper Power Rangers adaptation season, but it should be with new villains and I don't know if they should get new zords or gain control of the Thunderzords.
I think part of the reboot is no more adaptations. From here on out PR will be original, no more secondhand sentai. They half did it in cosmic fury, even though they still retooled the kyuranger mecha
I have an idea for a Lupinranger vs. Patrenger PR adaptation, but its a bit messy:
Power Rangers: Mirror Force
Essentially, the Lupinrangers are going to be "mirrors", or basically Persona's Shadows, of our Patrenger counterparts. The theme of the team's story would probably be that of change and accepting themselves, probably by having all our Patrenger counterparts have problems they need to deal with in their lives constantly, that is also reflected in the Lupinrangers. It can also justify the police theming of our chosen Sentai by making it like they are more professional and "put together", as an opposite to the Lupinrangers. Patren and Lupin X would be the kind of "guide" for the two groups, though in opposing ways for each team. Lupin/Patren X would be someone familiar with the mirror world the Lupinranger conterparts(I'm going to call them Mirror Rangers) inhabit. The main villains are going to be a group of people that, like the Patrengers(Or Earth Rangers), have a reflection, but, unlike the Earth Rangers, they inhabit both sides at once, leading to them forming a coalition to take over the Mirror world with their unique stature. The Mirror World, like the palaces in Persona(Yes, I am taking a lot of inspiration from Persona, but it is mostly incidental), can affect a person's mindset or wants(for example, if one of the Mirror Rangers eats a big meal, the Earth Ranger counterpart would stop feeling hungry for an hour or two, and vice versa), leading to stories where the main villains try to manipulate people, and are stopped by our rangers. Earth Ranger focused stories would be about the villains turning someone into a monster using the mirror world and the artifacts, while Mirror Ranger focused stories would be them trying to steal the artifacts the villains have. The story would probably start with the bonds between the Mirror world and regular world getting messed up, while our Earth Rangers, inspired by the stories of the SPD, try to figure out what's going on, leading to the confrontation with the Mirror Rangers, and the start of the rivalry, both seeing themselves reflected in the other, and subsequently going on journeys of self-discovery as they collide with each other. It also could lead to interesting stories where, since the Mirror Rangers and Earth Rangers are splitting away from each other, they find problems in their personal lives, as their counterparts' actions affect the other, since they have stopped being in sync with each other.
This is very interesting! A pretty creative take on how to reframe the team vs team concept. The two teams being mirrors of each other is very creative- thank you for sharing!!
Can Kiramager can easily be a sequel season to Power Rangers Zeo? The powers come from the crystals and your ranger team are adults. The powers work better because the team is older and stronger than teenagers. Maybe being an adult means you can handle the Zeo crystals power better.

Since adapting sentai would be a less chance decision for them right now.. i want to criticize current western PR's design if they want to make their own suit.
Tbh, their designer artists lacking the understanding of coherent theme on the suit. Most original PR suit from boom comic until cosmic fury had no identity. They just designed something that seems cool. The elements are so random. They should taking note from titanium design and jungle masters.

Crystal Rush and Phantom Justice were solid names.
Another ideo for a Lupat adaptation is the changers for the Phantom Rangers being stolen from the Justice Rangers. So when they morph, the cops go "Justice, Authorize!" and the thieves go "Phantom, Override!".
I want Toqger be adapted with a Serious & Realistic Tone it's kinda similar to RPM but with the tone from the Paramount Marvel Movies & i think it'll be really cool too have Toqger get adapted.
And this would be a thing on why we haven't gotten a perfect Power Rangers season by balancing the tone between Dark & Calmer to Lighthearted & Funnier.
Zenkaiger could honestly work I feel, we have all the "new powers" introduced in Super Megaforce and expanded upon somewhat in the comic books, we could use Zenkaiger as a season to learn all about the Ranger teams from before Zordon formed the Mighty Morphing team on Earth. Like, we could turn Gorenger into Zordon's personal crew on Eltar from way back when. Then other teams could be different groups he created as time went on. Perhaps one of the teams went bad (the one we use for Stacy's character) and trapped Zordon in the state we saw him in MMPR - in Space, with him holding off on making any more teams until he had no other choice (Rita's awakening).

I actually made a google slide show on if I were to adapt Sentai and I chose kyuranger as my first one and I called it power rangers nova blast.
The only thing I want to disagree on is King ohger being un adaptable dude.
Your video alone shows the potential for the adaptation. The suits would be perfect because of the eye catching differences. The armor alone is cool. The bug motif and zords would rock. PLUS this could also be a 2 fold opertunity.
1. We could try to make a connection to Beetleborgs. Use monsters who were unused maybe remake them and the borg armors.
2. Maybe if Reboot Beetleborgs.
Zyuohger is another perfect choice for Adaptation.

These names are awesome! The idea of Zenkaiger as the OmniRanger is pretty cool, too!
Kingohger- I cant really form a solid opinion, since I haven't seen any of the show so i cant say how well the morphed footage could be worked with.
ToQger- Yeah trains are very niche in the west, and then you'd also need to do original grunts. Though no clue what the rules Netflix may of put forth.
Zenkaiger - I think this could work IF we did original fight footage. The only real issue is White lacks his own zord. You could use the mecha forms of the ranger stuff.
Zyuohger- Yeah I agree totally adaptable and While I'd argue the lack of playablity what they did for the cosmic fury megazord kinda makes that a non issue.
Kyuranger- I think the fact that the 11 rangers have like 7 or 8 different, molds. likely is why Hasbro didnt use them design wise. Plus Story wise Izzy would of likely been green still and she would of had to deal wih a skirt that wouldnt' just magically go away after the first time. Aparenly Simon Bennet said the Cosmic Fury suits were more detailed originally and got simplified because of PLANS at the time to make figures and wanting to just use 2 molds (male and female)
Kiramager- I think it could work pretty well the only real issue is the Monster designs since they are throwbacks to JakQ or Go ranger whichever (i'm not sure) Hell they could set he PR version in Stone Canyon (bring Rocky in as the mentor)
LuPat - Simon claimed it was unadaptable because of the ranger vs ranger aspect, and the issues with the police focus. I think a couple of the issues are the shared changers and Good striker. But the morpher thing is easy to get around by simply giving them original PR morphers.
DonBrothers-I love your idea of focusing on a game world aspect "We are V R" The morpher could simply just get swapped out wouldnt be the first time- Jungle Fury, Samurai Gold, Ninja Steel, Ninja Steel Gold, So no reason they have to use a gun morpher. IN Fact i think the only reason Don brothers used it was to repurpose parts from Zenkaiger stock or something. So gun is a side arm, morpher is somehing else that the gears can be slotted into. Problem solved. OR you just work around the Alter forms Go in with the 2nd chunk of the story limied to 20 episodes cause we know Hasbro can do single 20 ep seasons pretty well but sadly it feels like when they have to go back for a S2 that things feel... forced. So only needing enough footage for 20 eps is probably a decent way to make Donbrothers work even better.
DosmRider had a pretty good LupinPat adaptation video last year that seemed heavily inspired by Amit Bhaumik's PR Hexagon pitch.
Similarly, i think your VR idea for Donbrothers is a clever way to turn the season's weaknesses into strengths.
But i wouldn't have ruled out Kingohger so quickly. I don't think anybody would really struggle with the armored/caped costumes, and the kingdom elements could be excised completely.

Have them fighting underground in the subways, against mutants or the like that went underground to either runaway from discrimination or plan vengeance on the humans.
Making it mainly underground in an underground world only accessible by the subways/trains of areas of the US or such that bore through mountains and the like would make an easy way to not need to make tons of footage outside, shoot at one location and do a similar thing with the original Sentai did of having new massive green screens. Yeah it's still new and can be jarring but it also made a lot of fun things as well happen.
It didn't also become a massive mess like current age Marvel CGI with the company who does the CGI for them complaining how much work they off loaded on them.
I'm gonna say Power Rangers VR Legends is the better of the two. Also, I really wished that Hasbro would have written a Lupineranger VS Patoranger adaptation. It's one of my favorite Super Sentai shows, and the idea of a morally ambiguity in Power Rangers would be very mature and could appeal to more audiences.

I got some ideas while this thing of the 30 years was still in develop, and adapt Kiramager for the anniversary season. after all, we got crystals and vehicles already in PR.
Just make them a Zeo reboot. Robo Rita was defeated, but in that short time, managed to attract evildoers accross the galaxy. When Billy discovers the next invasion plan, he unveils Earth's secret weapon, the Zeo crystals. Now reforged and with an unlocked potential. Billy starts his search for the next Power Rangers.

I never understood ToQGer not having the grounds to work in America. Trains aren't a foreign concept and one of the most long running children's shows is made of nothing BUT trains. Thomas proves ToQGer could work if they wanted to, they'd just have to work around the red train's engineering and phallic attack it uses.
I would’ve loved to have seen that Power Rangers Supernova show that one of the producers proposed that would’ve fully adapted KyuRanger and maybe an adaptation of ToQGer if for no reason other than to see that kicka** finishing move they did with the Zords in the vs Ninninger movie.
Kiramager, I only thought about the monster of the week and giants. I call them Mask Reapers, the suits represent their class strengths and the Masked Kaiju based on their body as well.

It’s not that hard to keep the sentai costumes because when the season is done The show runners gets rid of most of their props and costumes so the PR team saying it’s expensive is just lies.
