What a cool video seriously, I ve been in Stockholm and wow this really helped! especially EN ÖL TACK!!! SERIOUSLY I BEEN TRYING IT AND IT WORKS!!! HAHA AWESOME STUFF BRO KEEP AT IT...
"Vad heter du?" is actually a subject-verb-object sentence structure, and the present-tense verb "heter" is a bit hard to translate into English. It's equivalent to the German "heisse", so if you introduce the old-fashioned English verb "hight" (which means "be named") then it basically translates to "What hight you?".
I absolutely LOVE languages!! and, accents of those speaking English from other countries! [hope that makes sense [lol]. I would have learned Italian in high school back in my hometown of Philadelphia back in the late 70's/ early 80's, but they dropped the language just as I entered 9th grade. I was upset as I wanted to speak to my grandmother [my mother's mother] in Italian b4 she passed in 1985. She would have been very happy & proud! So, I took 3 yrs of Castillano Spanish, instead. Long story short, having moved to Los Angeles, CA, I use it here of course whilst among the Mexican people. I am also currently teaching myself Italian, and French as those are 2 of 4 of my nationalities, as well as Dutch German, & a little Irish. I am determined to speak at least Italian & French, fluently, b4 heading to Europe. I never expect anyone of another country to speak my language... But this also creates fun and excitement, as well as a sense of great accomplishment when fluent in other languages! / As I watch videos like these, the challenge for me to learn, even moreso, is on !! Keep up the great work, guys, & all you polyglots !! / One request, if I may... if you can just place yourself in a more sound environment, it will rid of the echo which makes it difficult to hear all the words & their proper pronounciations... Thanks in advance!! Hope someday I will be able to speak Swedish as well! Then I can be friends with the legendary group, ABBA! lol. 😉 ... 😊😊 Ciao !
PROTIP: Don't try to use English auto generated subtitles on Swedish language. Within the first 5 seconds, "this good ass me disaster will be a huge cumshot"...
Hi! I'm Pablo Mangini from Argentina, I'd like to watch a video which you teach spanish to them. And different pronunciations in the spanish around the world too! Greetings from Salta city, known as "Salta la linda", in the north of my country. ;)
Erik, I'm sorry but it seems like you made up all hahahaha you guys are great! love your videos together! Hej da! (and definitely new lessons in German and Spanish!)
so when you have one swede, one norwegian, one dane, do you speak english, your respective languages or german or dutch? if you add an icelander, a dutch , and a german to the mix?
I noticed a clear lacking of the most important thing in Swedish the tongue twisters. Forget She Sells Seashells by the Seashore, that one is easy compared to Sex Laxar i en Laxask. Six Salmons in a Salmon Box. I'm not going to ask them to do the impossible one, Sju sjösjuka sjömän... because it's frankly impossible for non-natives...
Why is "tack" translated to please (bitte) in this special case. I thought, it means the opposite Thank you (Danke). And when I searched for the translation for please, I got some other word, but not tack! Is this a special thing, because of the most important word in Sweden? 😉 Greetings from Berlin 😎
The swedish is easier than i thought it was going to be, obviously it is not like the spanish or the english but (as everything) if you practise a lot it would be easier. You should make a video doing tongue twisters in spanish or swedish or german. Sorry if i have misspelled any word or something does not make sense Xd, despite the fact i have study english for 8 years of my life is still a little bit complicated
Stefano Venegas Regrat If you're interested in Swedish tounge twisters, google "Mastering Swedish" by SLAY radio (it's a six lesson podcast for an English guys moving to Sweden).
Stefano Venegas Regrat Swedish is actually a pretty hard language to my knowledge. If you get into the more advanced way of speaking swedish, it's gonna get tougher. There is no logical explanation of why you'd put A or AN infront of a word and we have many words that spell the same and sound very similar, the only thing that differs the meaning of the word is how you pronounce it ( eventhough it's spelled the same ) for example: Tomten = Santa Claus but it also means Yard.. .. When you talk about Santa Clause you pronounce it tomTEN, but if you talk about the yard it's pronounce TOMten.. makes sense? :p and we have many of those words. The swedish language is also very fluid, it is spoken very fast with a melody (considering how we pronunce the words) which makes it even weirder to learn.
Omg everything is free in Swedish? Jag måste gå till Sverige! Jag är från Nederländerna :) Btw, what exactly is the difference between the pronounciation of "jag" and "ja"? Tack! Och hej då :)
Yarah Hendriks Not really. In (the few) cases where it is not evident by context, you could include the g-sound in _jag_, perhaps with a little stress on top. _ja_ is also mostly pronounced with a melody that is hard to confuse with _jag_, typically with a grave accent - "jàa", or just "àa" - or sometimes with a tone raising/falling in a way that reflects the mode of the question (or answer). It may sound complicated, but you will soon get it by listening to natural speech, including emotions (i.e. no language course...).
The spanish guy has an advantage with pronoucncing the words since of the similarity of the accents while the german girl have an advantges in understanding the words since swedish and german are similiar
its very gut people , i like your video , i challenge you guys para ver cuales palabras les enseno en espanol y catalan ... auf wiedersehen btw, madchen ist schon , sorry my keyboard doesnt have a and o umlaut buena suerte
There should be subtitle please. :D Jag vill undertitel, tack ;) - I want subtitle, thank. Jag vill förstå detta intro. - I want to understand this intro.

Laurelindo It is like if Swedish hadn't evolved and had kept like a Middle Age language...
I absolutely LOVE languages!! and, accents of those speaking English from other countries! [hope that makes sense [lol].

Patricia pratade med dansk dialekt typ😂😂
Banjo.. Really? ^^

I like your videos so much. Btw are you guys on an exchange or something like this?
柳 Wanderlust They're on Erasmus :)
Omg everything is free in Swedish? Jag måste gå till Sverige! Jag är från Nederländerna :) Btw, what exactly is the difference between the pronounciation of "jag" and "ja"? Tack! Och hej då :)
Yarah Hendriks
in ''jag'' you pronounce the G and in ''ja'' there's no G so yeah just say ja. :)
Yarah Hendriks Often none. The g in jag is silent in most cases, especially in older dialects / people.
Sven Ekeberg Yeah that's what I thought.. but isn't that confusing sometimes? Like, do they mean "I" or "yes" ? x)
