wow, i've never seen a line that big for ET adventure, we usually just walk on with about 10 other people. glad to see more people enjoying it. if it ever goes away, things will not be the same
Big lines still happen. I was there in November last year. We filled up three outside rows of the queue and waited about 20 minutes before getting inside. Then it was a full queue through the indoor/forest section. Probably another 30 minutes. But I didn't mind that. Hadn't been to Universal in over 15 years. Still loved the queue and the smell sent me back. The line was probably long then because it was the Sunday of Veterans Day weekend. Locals hitting things up. Universal Orlando is in desperate need of a third gate though. You can't have ~6 or so hotels and only the parks.
Wow. Went on this ride for the first time in 1991. Still exactly the same, even the spielberg video at the start. And someone mentioned they can smell the ride? Same. Absolute classic
This is my favorite ride at Universal, Orlando despite being a Harry Potter fanatic as well... If this goes, I riot. I'm the secondary record holder on riding this ride still as far as I know. I rode it like fifteen times in a single hour one of the last times I was there.
Please send an email to Universal Studios Orlando to let them know. Last time I was at Universal, I went to customer service to specifically tell them not to ever remove it.
Thank you for showing this. It brings back very fond memories of when we took my 80 year old Grandmother on this ride... We were worried she wouldn't like it as the sharp turns of the ride threw us back and forth a bit.. and her being elderly was a concern, but when she got off the ride she was almost like a little kid! huge smile and almost jumping up and down with delight saying "It was just like being in the movie!" and wanted to go again. She loved E.T. and I was so thrilled I could take her for this wonderful experience before she went to Heaven. It was also great that E.T. Said goodbye and each of our names including my Grandmothers.
I love e.t the ride does smell though its so old lol I love we got to see what E.T HOME PLANET looks like. this is the oldest ride at universal studios
I saw the movie dubbed into Japanese when I was a child. This was after I visited the park in 1996. I think, visiting the ride spoiled the movie for me. As this was meant to be a "sequel" to the movie.
My two favorite scenes in this ride are the bit where you fly over the city and see the silhouettes against the moon and the bit where you see all the little baby E.T.s playing.
Thanks for documenting the queue. Most channels kind of gloss over it, which is a shame considering the queue is arguably better than the actual attraction. I'm privileged enough to have ridden both the one in Hollywood and Orlando. Being an L.A. native, riding it in Florida was like stepping back in time.
Daniel Sandoval of course! As we move forward we are going to try to expand on this type of experience for every attraction we document! We appreciate the kind feedback
I feel bad for the people that got scared, because for me it was a nice, calm, and enjoyable ride, It still is to this day, but I belive I heard in another video one reason they showed E.T.'s friends was so that kids don't get scared when they see them on the ride.
That’s the greatest POV I’ve ever seen with the queue and the ride, whenever I would watch the movie it gets me motivated to back to Universal Studios keep the good work with your videos 😃🛸👽🚲
No joke when I was 5 years old I went on this ride, and for the longest time after I wanted to grow up to be the people that ask for your first name and register your card on this ride. Then later when I turned six I changed my career to an explorer after seeing Indiana Jones. 😂😂😂
YEAH PARANOID fuckers ...... I WAS TRYING TO SHOW MY OL LADY THAT E.T. SAYS..... YOUR NAME AT THE END OF THE RIDE ......thats why i gave it a thumbs down ... HAD my big bluetooth speaker turned up so loud it was hurting my ears and everything !!!!!!! I went on this ride in Anehym California , U.S.A. when i was 12
my favorite ride at any Universal park - and possibly of all time. It’s just pure magic and nostalgia, and there’s no beating the music swell when you’re flying over the city. I’ll join the crowd of rioters if they ever take this ride away from us lmao
I remember riding this bike ride at ET The Full Experience, we had to give the assistant our name with the card and ET was going call out our name at the end of the ride to thank us for saving him, but I didn’t hear him say my name because it wasn’t loud enough, but I think my dad and stepmom would have heard their names been called, that was so cool to hear him say it at the end of the ride.
Thank you for this video. I remember going on it when I was little, and it brought back wonderful memories. I wish they still had this ride. I love E.T.
One of the last originals from the start of Universal Studios Park. You can see Steven's hand in all the themeing and details on the animatronics. How much longer does this ride have before its replaced by something with less charm and purity? As many noted, we have lost Jaws, Twister/ Disaster, King Kong, and Back to the Future. FYI, Peter Coyote was in the movie as on of the scientist.
It'll be a sad day when this ride eventually closes. I live in the UK so I don't get to visit Florida as much as I'd like to. But when I have, this ride always left me feeling happy and care free.
I went to universal just a few days ago and rode ET for the first time. I thought the ride smelled really good so I bought one of those candles in the gift shop that smell like the queue.
I come back here agian just to comment how much i love the que line walking through the forest that smell the cool air while walking through just makes me happy i for real could soend 10 or 15 mins just taking my time taking in the forest area if they evwr get rid of this ride it will be the sadest ill be
Now here's a video I can smell (and taste!) I got to take my partner on this for the first time back in November 2021. We were the only people in our car so of course we sat front and center, right behind E.T. I was so happy to have that be her first experience. She even got a little spooked at the beginning, just like I did the first time I rode. We rode it two times that trip! It'll be a sad day when they inevitably replace this historic attraction.
Wahou vous avez trouvé le moyen de voyager dans le temps et de pouvoir faire des attractions claquées, datées des 90's en 2020 au prix de 2020. Amazing
i have no memory of this ride but i know when i was little i would come here with my grandparents every summer. i know this is one of the things we did every time. and i know those air blasts absolutely scared me when i was little. i cant remember anything but those definitely scared me lmao
There's an unmistakable smell walking through the area with the trees that ever since I was a kid I have remembered. Like a damp foresty fern smell. I came across a fragrance called "Fou d'absinthe by L'Artisan Parfumeur" that smells almost exactly like how I remember it. I have iit for the sole reason of transporting me back to that smell. I recommend getting it if anyone wants instant nostalgia.
The E.T Atari game is known for killing video games for a while in America. Luckily, we didn't have Atari in Japan. We had the Family Computer around that time. Mario was the one that brought video games back in America.
That jeep used to scare the hell out of me. Damn this video takes me back, nostalgic for it but there’s no way this could’ve stayed longer than it did in Hollywood
I agree with you on that. It’s a fantastic attraction but Hollywood would be a super weak park with it. Orlando has a charm because they have so many amazing attractions and then this classic one on top of everything else.
I used to get scared of that Jeep too but I still love this ride. It is said Spielberg was upset when Universal closed the rides in Hollywood and Japan and threatened to sever ties with Universal if they closed the Florida version.
We will be making more of these "Full Experience" type videos. We hope you enjoy and we hope this brings you one step closer to a visit to the parks!
What did you shoot this with and what sort of gimbal?
I like shoot em up rides
Also the fact that I can literally smell this video just shows

And then back to being iconic most popular ride in the entire park at Universal Studios Florida.
I have a pine air freshener in my room and that, combined with this video takes me right back to my Orlando holiday 4 months ago
