They can never ever remove this. As a kid it blew my mind and fully immersed me. Went back for the first time now with my gf since then and had the same giddy childhood joy, I even wanted to get a pic with the random actor in the spidey suit 😂
I remember going on this in April 2012, literally the day it reopened after the renovation. The local news was reporting on it too. My dad and I were able to use our hotel room keys as fast passes since we stayed at a resort on property, so we got on quickly…only for the ride to shut down half way through 🤣 they were able to fix it quickly and got everyone in our vehicle off and into a new one without having to get back on the line. One of my favorite Universal memories. This needs to be a forever ride, along with The Hulk and The Cat In The Hat. (I don’t care if I’m an adult. I will go on The Cat In The Hat at any age and any time if I’m at the park.)
I love the little detail at 6:22 where spider-man does the thumbs-up but because he's upside down it looks like a thumbs down and quickly he twist his hand so to us it look right.
This is simply a masterpiece of an attraction (the only dark ride I’d say is better is the Forbidden Journey), and the refurbishment only made it better. It wipes the floor with the Disney Spider-Man ride
I rode this for the first time ever yesterday. I have wanted to ride this thing for about 18 years. It lived up to the all the hype I've read about it and then some. The entire Islands of Adventure park is possibly the best theme park I have visited. It and USF next door blow USH out of the water. But this ride was special. Wish I could've ridden it when it was new, but alas, finally crossed it off my bucket list.
I'm glad that Marvel characters, including Spider-Man are still in Universal Orlando Resort, even though Disney did owns Marvel on August 31st, 2009. Universal have the theme park rights to the Marvel characters in the East Coast, while Disney have the theme park rights to the characters in the West Coast. I hope the Marvel characters would stay at Universal Orlando Resort forever no matter what.
Disney chose or had to honour the original contract Marvel made with Universal. As long as Universal pay the fees to Disney, refurbish Marvel Super Hero Island’s rides, don’t permanently close the land and don’t do anything to tarnish the Marvel brand, there is no need to be concerned. One downside is that it can’t be expanded or be given new rides without Disney’s consent and another is another version of the park can’t be built elsewhere if I recall correctly.
I can't ever remember there being a " spider signal " in any of the comics or movies, and ive read a lot of comics. Thats the first time I've thought of that.
I love how they changed the animated Spider-Man to the Tobey Maguire version for those who rode the when it opened. I never got sick because I wasn’t born back then.
Is it just me or has the quality of maintenance on this ride gotten worse? The lighting on the sets are too bright, ruining the atmosphere of most scenes, revealing where the illusion ends and even drowning out the screens. I haven't been on this ride since 2017, so if anyone has been on this ride recently, was it this well lit when you visited, or can't you tell behind the 3D glasses?
It might have been an off day when you went because I recently rode it last weekend and it was perfectly fine. Not every ride will perfectly function 24/7
I rode this attraction again this week and I can confidently say that this video was an off day. Interestingly, the only part that didn't work at all is the smoke dispenser at the end, which means that you can see the transition between being hit by the gravity cannon and rising above the buildings, which kind of ruins the effect. Other than that, it worked almost as well as I remember.
Is Universal’s Spider Man the best Spider Man ride on the planet?!
Yes
Of course 😂😂!!!
This wipes the floor with the Disney one lol
I remember I had the privilege to ride in the front row with no one else in the vehicle with me 🙏😇.
One of them for sure.
Love that at 3:13, the platform Spidey lands on is actually physical. The screen Spiderman interacts with the physical set 🔥
OMG I've never noticed that LOL

The one in Universal Studios Osaka is getting removed soon and I’m not happy abt it :(

It's honestly the only one I truly look forward to at Universal.
I love this ride too
Save the ride.
This is one of the few rides I clearly remember as a child. It’s so great, especially the floating effects

another is at the beginning when he says “Nice Shades” mocking our 3D glasses for rocking sunglasses at night
Best motion simulator at Universal, period

I think rise of the resisitance is as good if you consider that a dark ride.
@@brandonbowers2790 I’d definitely like it more if it wasn’t based on the disastrous sequel trilogy, but it is, which I have no interest in :/
@@brandonbowers2790 but yes of course from an objective standpoint, it’s a fantastic dark ride (however, I still don’t think it’s as good as this)
@@brandonbowers2790 Disney shouldn't own Marvel. In my opinion they did a better job with Star Wars like you just said.
Yes Spiderman is definitely one of the best.

islands is probably the best theme park in florida, hands down!
WOW!! 18 years?? I went on it back in 2005 when I was 7 and it was the greatest experience of my life getting to see my hero in action
You about to make me cry cause I'm reminiscing
Bro it’s been like a decade since I’ve road this ride, I’m really gonna cry too

Still the best ride ever!
Easily the best dark ride technology and immersion ever made
I think this, cosmic rewind and hex are the best dark rides ngl
The ONLY dark ride that I think is better is Forbidden Journey (I like this more but I’m looking at it from an objective perspective). Nothing else!
1:05 Fun Fact: My dad actually made this article for the ride
Apparently, it’s a 3D ride….looks cool though. Sharks loves to play with a deadly spider, man!
amazing Love spider Man.
Please NEVER get rid of this ride, Universal
amazing queue ride
I love that scream has like, 2 scenes and then disappears
Amn u know what dark ride would be amazing a godzilla aka GOGIRA!! That would be sic
So Awesome
Thank you Kobe!!

if i remember correctly, it was in a brief scene in the spectacular spider-man cartoon but thats the only time i remember there being one
It was in the early issues of the original comic.
🔥🔥🔥
Can I use a part of this footage for a video I’ll be making on my channel? It will be a voice over and your work will be credited
sure
U answered 2 months later 💀
Arguably still the best ride in the whole park.
your rap song at the end is so bomb
I love how they changed the animated Spider-Man to the Tobey Maguire version for those who rode the when it opened. I never got sick because I wasn’t born back then.
My favorite ride from universal studios Orlando if I’m going to be honest
This is my favorite ride at islands of adventure.
Do they allow filming on rides now ? I thought universal studios was strict about that.
I Instagram live on it, a while back, nothing about you can’t, was great!
Good to know 👍🏻thanks

If you look closely in the red room, you can spot some hand & foot prints going up the wall and onto the ceiling! 🤫
Doe it really take your picture?
It does! It took me years to realize but you can see it in the gift shop
I Was On This Ride For My Gradbash 2k22 On April 29th
The best
I went on this ride 1st time was hard as my choir mates told me " It's like Star Tours" Jesus was I wrong !
As a kid this kind of made me shit myself 😂
