Damn! Frieren will have for centuries those random memories that wake us up at night about something we didn't understand at the time but understand now.
The beauty of this show is that it's almost like a love story in "reverse". Where Himmel has done acts of love for Frieren all throughout his lifetime and it's only after his death, and through her reflection of her time with Himmel that she comes to realise these were acts of love. This only adds to the bittersweet tragedy of the story, in that the "moment" has passed and they'll never get what they could have had.
Besides the fact that the clock is between Frieren and Himmel there is this as well. Notice that Fern's bracelet the Lotus is in full bloom, showing that love has or will blossom fully into it's full form. Frieren's ring, however, is still a simple bud and hasn't bloomed yet, showing that Himmel's love will never fully come to fruition, even if it still exists and is still eternal.
Fern & stark are a mirror reflection of freiren & himmel as far as romance goes. So as freiren continues her journey she is slowly realizing she had fallen in love with himmel & he had fallen in love with her.
there is a fan commented that the clock tower that stand between them is like saying that Time is only the essence that stand between them. i think this is deep.
If you go back to ep 1 you’ll see Frieren looking at the ring right after Himmels death, that was probably the first time she felt like there was something more to the ring but didn’t understand what it was, heartbreaking honestly 🥲. Also we already got “memory loss Carmen” in the first few seconds of the reaction then you’re trying to dry your tears with the fan that’s the bonus content I’m here for😂
Frieren 80 years ago: "Eh? What a weird way to give me a ring! "
Frieren now "Ohhhh, that meant he was into me!"
LMAO!! She’s so silly 😭
The mortal guy kneeled down before his eternal love with nothing between them, except time itself
Are you trying to make me cry again 🥹🥹
@@CarmenIvette that way, we all cry, right? Right?

When a beautiful woman calls you an idiot without a hint of anger, it means "I love you". And that's how Fern talks to Stark
They’re so cute 🤗

ALWAYS A ROLLERCOASTER!
makes the best of us cry, dont worry

@@CarmenIvette certainly pushed myself toward a more sapphic future, that's for sure. I now get a high when there's a good romance!

Emotional 😭❤️
Actually wonder why the inn doesnt fall apart after stark slamming the door (we should remind that he killed a dragon with one hit)
I just want people to appreciate the point that that ring scene was made 10x more effective by the amazing music. Watch again, focusing on that. 10:47
@@Asterra2 Evan Call really hit it out of the park with the Frieren soundtrack.
There's only a handful of characters with names on the show, if you can't remember one maybe take some notes before you make your reaction video.
I COULD 😳
