Totally agree! It’s hard to explain because, yeah, it’s sad, but it’s not the kind of sadness that leaves you feeling empty.... Instead, it fills you up... it’s just really beautiful! ❤
@Davinci_and_Bruixa Hello! I'm Japanese. That is called "Setsunai" in Japanese. It seems to be a peculiar Japanese expression. And thanks for the nice reaction!
@@mrgattacanejo Oh wow! Thanks for sharing that with us! We love learning Japanese words, they always have a word to describe a feeling or a way of doing things. I looked it up and it means something like 'a longing sense of regret for something you no longer have.' It’s so beautiful to have a word that captures that exact feeling! Thanks for being here! ❤
@@Davinci_and_Bruixa You're welcome! `Setsunai'' fits in that way. In English, I think "bitter and sweet" is the closest word. My English teacher from Australia said it was her favorite Japanese word. I look forward to hearing your reactions.🥰
@@mrgattacanejo Totally agree with your teacher! There is no expression or word that conveys these deep feelings as well as Japanese words do... It's just beautiful ❤
Fern's bracelet is that of a mirrored lotus in bloom, signifying their love will come to be. Frieren's ring is that of a lotus bud, signifying their love has yet to come. The clock tower between Frieren and Himmel signifies that time is what separates them. Himmel knew he would die before Frieren and she was his only love, which is why he never told her and never married. "Elves lack romantic interests and reproductive instincts." She's trying so hard to understand the relationship between Fern and Stark and how these social interactions match up with Himmel in the past towards her. The merchant in the carriage having a spell to find lost accessories seems like a convenient plot device, but he was an accessory merchant so... whatever lol. When she's in the air after casting the spell to find the ring, she's so beautiful. I love the animations in those moments. So much crying this episode.
I love discovering these hidden symbols. I hadn’t noticed that the bracelet and the ring had different shapes. It adds even more meaning that one has blossomed while the other is still yet to bloom... And the clock tower... I completely agree. It's moments like these that make you realize how many details these anime have and how well-crafted they are.... Whenever they do these close-ups of her, she looks stunning and they’re so well animated! 😍
Sein is an important character in that he sort of represents us in the story. When on the rooftop watching Fern and Stark, he's up there for us to see the kids are doing well. Frieren is up there just trying to figure out the puzzle of human interactions. The whole "pretending to be an adult" bit is really great, too. Whether you had a hard childhood and were forced to become an adult early or still live to this day as a middle-aged child, there really isn't a set time when one becomes a "proper adult". You just realize it someday. I think for me, it was in my 20's when working at a grocery store.. some child said to their mother, "Let's ask that man over there to help find it." while pointing at me. I was like, "Oh yeah, I guess that's what I seem like to others now."
Wow, these moments really make an impact on your life. When we’re kids we always want to grow up, and once we’re grown we want to go back to being kids. I think I also started seeing myself as an adult around that age, but the worst part isn’t when you see yourself as an adult, it’s when others start seeing you that way, like what happened to you. That’s when you realize there’s no turning back hahaha
This is a reaction video, but it was really impressive and wonderful to see the two of them silently watching the scene without saying a word. No words are necessary, right?🥲
He will if he were to watch it again alone. If a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to witness it, did it make a sound? We may never know lol.
I don't know how to say it...I think the great thing about this show is that even though it's wistful, it's not too sad and warms the heart✨

I only realized it was a marriage proposal 80 years after he passed away. How sad.
It really is... but it's also nice that she eventually realizes it. It would be way sadder if she never did....
The world is in need for this kind of anime.
Totally agree, you don’t know you need it until you watch it and realize how much you actually needed it! 🥲❤

LOL I don't think so... It’s a challenge for me, he has a hard time crying in front of me too... 😫
