Incredibly authentic, passionate and beautifully played. An impossible book. Naked, exposed vocals where the jazz soul comes right through. Absolutely stunning portrayal of the mind of the jazz musician. What's astounding is that this show captures both a big band wide open feel, and the most soft spoken jazz lyric, together in the same twelve minutes. That takes incredible control and finesse. An absolute barn burner. Wow.
Greatest thing about Bluecoats 2018 is this show grows onto you so much. I k how a few people who weren't a fan of this show at first but after a few viewing its stuck in their head and an something to listen pretty often. That is very impressive

the echo's and all the electronics SUCK. Takes away from the Mature Hornline, and Drumline. The kids work hard, but ,THIS, is not Pleasing. This is just Rubbish. It is what it is.
How many times are ya gonna do cringy twisty leg moves and squats in a forest of props with piped in try hard bass and vocals? I guess ill just watch the 90s and 2000s and hope this all goes away someday.
