Loved this show! Super fresh - Thank you Cavies for coming out West this summer -- 9:03 - one of the most lush ensemble moments of DCI '19... great job y'all...!
Great show by the Cavaliers. Thanks for uploading this and the other Night Beat videos. I go to this event every year. Awesome DCI event. Great venue. Unbelievable performances by all the corps.
i hope so, but some of their best lead trumpets moved to bd for 2021, which is good for the bd trumpet dynasty, but not so good for the cavies being nuts in 2021
Like I’m so freaking proud of these boys, my kids that got to march, the fact I’m an alum, and so proud of this show. But I need everyone to take a fucking second and watch the front flags SPRINTING at 9:13 from side 1 to side 2 WITH CHOREOGRAPHY STILL. It’s literally like 30 yards in 5 seconds. This that shit that killed me when I marched haha
I think this may be the best writing out of Rosemont since 2007. Great job staff, really enjoyed the writing and visual this year. I'd watch this 20 times over before caring about the show that "won". Awesome stuff!!
i wanted to measure how much time the brass spent marching in this show. i have excluded all choreography and scattering. by my (arbitrary) timing, i determined that they spent a total of 5.67 minutes marching in an 11 minute long show. 00:43-01:03 02:07-02:54 04:20-05:12 06:14-07:18 07:29-09:34 10:41-11:13
Welcome to the current state of DCI. I marched in the 90's and it's different now. I wouldn't say better or worse, but for someone (like me) who likes to watch drill forms develop organically across sets with the music as a catalyst, the current trend of relying on props and less drill is disappointing.
Dude.................... Totally agree with u. THIS IS MY ENTIRE GRIPE with the Cavaliers for the last (nearly) half a decade. They run around so gawd damn much that I wouldn't even consider it drill at this point. It's sooooooooo disappointing for me as a fan since the beginning of 00's. They forgot what made them a feared corp and decided to follow all the gimmicky trends everyone else is doing instead of sticking to what they have come to be known for: "The Green Machine". I re-watched nearly every 00 show and all of them are so gawd damned good primarily because the drill writing was off the charts (not to even mention all the other elements). NOW... Due to to the amount of props on the field and running around I can't fucking tell what is going on for half the show. It's soooooooooo frustrating and disconcerting. My mind doesn't know where to go or what to make of the things that r going on on the field. Where is Jeff Fiedler when u need him. God bless his soul for giving us fans so many good shows and memories. I wish the Cavies would reconnect with their roots and stop with this fucking non-sense of following these dumbass trends. Otherwise they're going to continue to trail in 4-7 spots every year. If I were a judge I wouldn't even know how to judge some of the non-sense going on. When u look at their final spots for the last decade it goes: 2nd, 3rd, 8th, 7th, 6th, 9th, 5th, 4th, 6th and 5th. 2000's???? 1st, 1st, 1st, 2nd, 1st, 2nd, 1st, 3rd, 3rd and 4th. Which all proves my point. It just got progressively worse in the last decade. They just lost their direction. A lot of these show have some nice moments and elements. But a lot of them lack cohesion and flow. "Frameworks" was all cohesion and flow. I'll always put that show up on the pedestal as the prime example of what the Cavies should be striving for.
@@maxcherkasskikh5960 Alot of other corps are guilty of the same thing. I feel like in 2019, Crown marched their rear ends off. Not so much for the top 3 really.
Lol I marched this show. The only source music that we played here that has been played before was Gorgon, and that has only been once by BK. The rest was either original music or first time played on a drum corps field. Get outta here with this lol
Best show of 2019.... no doubt about it
The Cavies had THE ballad of the year. Their mellos were on fire and it definitely had the 2000s Cavies vibe to it.
The Cavaliers are on fire this year and I'm so happy for them!!

Their drumline is SO good!!!!! I love the ending when they imitate the train wheels running on the track!! I'm a big fan of trains and I enjoyed that!

I wonder
I love this show so much
ME TOO!!!
The cavaliers will only improve from here

Oh
pit was on fire
Yeah! Look at the guy on timpani! Hes into it!
Reid Brokering he was awesome last year as well hahaha
Reid Brokering there was a whole video about their timpanist
Of course they were lol percussion was like 85% of the show! Brass barely played throughout the show but man did front ensemble kill it !
@@pamrichards6811 is was in this hornline. Gonna have to strongly disagree with you on this...
This show has that "Championship years" vibe to it.... The Cavaliers are back!

god i love their ending
Derp, I believe it ended about 0:01

I would've picked crown or this show that year for 1st.
Totally Not diggin' your Totally Not videos. Thanks so much for posting!
The most progressive Cavaliers show I believe I have seen. Not keen on the percussion writing, but they play together.
Watched this live at nightbeat, it was amazing
Holy SHEEEEEEEET!! WHAT A FINISH!! IF THAT DOESN'T MOVE YOU THEN YOU HAVE NO SOUL!!
great show this year, love the pit
THEIR COLORGUARD IS PHENOMENAL
What an absolutely violent performance, WOW. So damn good
Thank you so much for the upload
I owe you my life thank you
I just wish they played more
At 8:21 when it zooms out the soloist on top of the bridge thing gets hit by the color guard
They got third in brass, yet no talks about it :(
3rd in brass at finals because of bad runs from BD and SCV brass wise lol
Waaaaay better than the Bluecoats show
Michael Kaye the design and affects were used way better in the Cavaliers show in my opinion
There is more heart to this show and it is way more cohesive.
Joe " Back in my day, Cavaliers wore green and Freemasons didn't pressure them into costumes" Rogan
LOL,😂 I love the internet
You really like to be angry don’t you?
Avery Jackson KEEP ZIONISM OUT OF DRUM CORE
Cavaliers this year are not to my taste however, there is no denying that this is a well thought out show and Crown better watch out.
Crown actually plays and march at the same time. Cavs stand while they play unless it's a whole note tied over for 16 measures.
What the heck?
SirGeorge53 I don’t remember my show that way
@@chrisstallings3492 yeah, u tell him Chris. Kick his butt.
Neon Wolf Cool. They can be poorly thought out however.
Battery was lacking compared to their front this year, chops for days

I remember watching Niagara Falls and the drills for that closer were absolutely mesmerizing.

Same etude most corps have done since 2000.
Please give us examples of what you are talking about.
Can you please explain yourself? Not quite sure how that's the case.

Why is it drum core only plays music composed by freemasons?
Hmmm? Anyone got an explanation for that?
