I haven’t been able to find a clean video of Session 44, and this just appeared in my feed. People said it was terrible but I love the jazzy feel to this show. Go bloo!
Probably my favorite bloo show this decade. I was at this show and would've liked the sound better without the electronic enhancements....but can't have everything I want haha.
That drill and the power....mmmmmm! I think SCV at this show was the only corp to really match that ever. They performed just before Bloo went on and it was obvious they were in a league of their own.
DCI seemed like a good idea but in the end it destroyed drum corp. When I first took the field in '77 there were around 400 active corps and when I left my shoes in '83 there were barely 200. It was considered an accomplishment just to make the top 25 now they can't field 25. The performances improved but it killed the community involvement and participation. Almost no one cares anymore, I don't know why they still bother.
You are wrong and spewing nonsense btw. Heres what happened to your precious corps calm down grasshopper... "By the late 1960s, many corps wanted more creative freedom and better financial compensation than was offered by their sponsors. Some felt the prize-money structures, based on competitive placement, were not fairly compensating all corps for their appearances. Additionally, some felt the current judging rules were stifling musical and theatrical possibilities. At the peak of North American drum corps participation (with perhaps a thousand active corps in the U.S. and nearly as many in Canada), several corps decided to "unionize", as stated by Don Warren (founder of the Cavaliers). They formed their own organizations, which ultimately led to the formation of Drum Corps Associates (DCA) in 1965 and Drum Corps International (DCI) in 1972. By this time, many corps had already lost their church or community sponsors.

The real Bluecoats rob was this not placing higher. This should’ve been battling with SCV for first
Not my favorite DCI show, but this show was clean, innovative, fun and definitely deserving of many awards. Love the ballad in this! Great job!
5:50 Greatest moment of DCI 2018

Wow...love this show. That vocal and tuba duet is so damn good!
This was my favorite use of vocals in DCI.
I love that last chord so much wth
The most fitting vocalist in all of DCI.
Yeah going to that competition was amazing. The mandarins had my favorite visuals though.
I love it when shows don't end in basic bitch chords
i remember being there but when does the one judge run into the people on accident?

Oh hey that's me
😳 Are points still taken off for that?
😍 this show.
Where will bluecoats land at finals?
j smith hopefully second. Not too far behind bd.
With how close they were to the Devils at semis I wouldn’t be surprised if they jump up into 2nd!! I feel they deserve it but what do I know
j smith+ They placed third

Why not support small drum corps in your community?
possibly the most ignorant comment ive seen on youtube lol

Those 1000s of corps formed the big ones of today
"Almost no one cares anymore"
