Hi Guys. Update on my previous comment. I succeeded to replace and connect loose or damaged vacuum lines, and the one I mentioned before goes to the firewall, but I don't know what is doing there. Anyway, the back headrests still do not work after this. Regarding the connector to the switchover valve, the reddish wire (red and green I think) is always negative, but the other one which is grey or white with an orange or brown line (not easy to define unless I cut the protection), don't have the positive during the first few minutes of a cold start, or so. I inspected all the relays and fuses in the boot and at the front and, in addition, two of them (K and R) were tested while plugged. Thanks, doit for your video on disassembling the intake manifold, which I partly followed to do the job. The greyish wire coming from the switchover valve seems to end up at the front fuse box; I tested one with a similar colour and it has 12V positive but it is for way too long after the engine starts. What makes me confused is that this same wire appears to have continuity with the one in the connector! I need to double-check that. I don't know yet how to connect the vacuum gauge. By the way, I have not yet tested the car on the motorway, but the idle is definitely more consistent. Regards.
Just a site note. You dont have to remove the supply line. You just unscrew the check valve. You can do it if you make a special key by cutting a head of a if i remember 27 wrench. Mercedes mechanics of cors have access to original removal tool. The real problem is in the valve. Cleaning wont help. Its a design flaw. Over time the rubber seals wear out and the exhaust fumes will over time destroy your second purge valve. Tipically the last 60 - 80k miles. I think I have a masters degree for secondary air injection troubleshooting, as how long it took to find the problem :D
Great video and very good instructions! You helped me to repair my 2002 CLK C200. Thank You very much! My best wishes for You from Finland. Keep going :)
Hi, I know you must be busy so maybe someone else can help me with this question and do a small test for me. When I unplug the harness from the switchover valve and test the two wires I'm getting 4 volts on one wire and 11 volts on the other wire, does anyone know if the voltage is correct or should I be getting 12 volts and ground?
Hi, doit. I always like to come back to your videos. I still have this car. After one year I have not discovered why the switchover valve connector doesn't have 12 volts when the car starts cold. Besides the three vacuum lines that go in/out of the switchover valve, there is a fourth vacuum line hanging loose underneath the top assembly, which is connected near the vacuum line plastic tube coming from the switchover valve. I don't know where the other end should go. Any help to solve these issues is welcome. Related to this matter is how to connect a vacuum gauge in this car to do a diagnostic check. Take care doit and guys, your contributions are very helpful.

Is the same as a throttle body or acceleration pedal or any other sensor Here is how to remove the fuel pump with the fuel level sensor : ruclips.net/video/WyMbpITvlRA/видео.html Cheers !
Did this today, to clean the check valve you do not need to remove the torx holding the pipe line or check valve, just raise the car, and remove the big 27 bolt holding the fitting, you will have enough space from underneath, remove the perforated bolt, careful not to loose the two crush washers, one behind the head side and one on the other side of pipe. take a peace of 5 by 5 inch aluminum foil and slide it between the pipe and the intake manifold side, to block anything you will spray through the check valve. I used a pulverizer gun and gasoline to clean the check valve which was almost completely clogged. all the junk came out of the pipe, the aluminum foil sheets blocks all this junk from entering the exhaust system. Done! no more insufficient secondary air flow code.
