Cantonese food is light food compared with other regions such as Sichuan and Hunan, it doesn't get a strong flavor but focuses on keeping the food ingredients' original taste. People who stay in Cantonese food will find that it's healthy and never tired of it.

Grandmothers and aunts in China are always concerned about whether you have enough to eat and whether you are married. It's just a social way for them to express their friendliness.❤

congees are considered comfort food, soothe the stomache if sick, so the flavor is always light

After eating the chili peppers, he wanted to drink something, so he picked up the bottle of herbal tea. The spicy taste was followed by the bitter taste. It was so funny.😄

Cantonese is a dialect in Guangdong region, but Mandarin is still spoken in schools, hospitals and institutions here because it's the official language of the whole country. So everyone can understand when you speak Mandarin, no worries

consider the bitter tea as medicine which help you confortable in very hot day. It wont take effects emediatly, and it looks like you don't need it.

That's not liver, but animal blood. Chicken blood, duck blood, and pig blood are often eaten in China. Very delicious, tastes like tofu, but much tastier than tofu, and it is rich in iron, which supplements human nutrition. Great

Brave and cool dude, despite not being able to speak Cantonese. Well done. If the porridge tastes bland, you can add some chilli oil or white pepper, don't worry what the waiter says.

Guangzhou style ruce rolls look a little sloppy but are so good! The reason rhey are a little "soggy" is because it is freshly steamed rice flour batter with beef. This is not a fried noodle, more luke a steamed rice pancake.

just because it's traditional doesn't mean everyone likes it 🤣. I can handle a lot of stuff but bitter tea kicks my butt lol. also that rice porridge is more older generation food. most of the younger folks I know would not order that as a first option.

4:00 You're not supposed to eat the meat and noodle separate. You eat them together, then the parts won't seem "soggy". When one is cooked inside the other, they are meant to be chewed in the *same bite.*

Guangzhou is the top food paradise in china with SWEET /SOUR / bitter and Hot choice to pick . .. Yes you are correct that Southern Chinese consume mainly Rice and the Northern Chinese more into wheat . the Rice porridge ( Congee ) and the steam rice fresh noodle With beef ( Cheong Fun ) are the very typical Cantonese breakfast food , next stop is those BBQ restaurants , cha Sui ( Roast pork ) , Crispy skin BBQ pork/ roast duck / roast Goose and those poach plan chicken , they are all display in the front window , lots of fresh seafood dishes .. then there's the Dim Sim for your next breakfast ...the list is endless, Mate . if it's looks good then give it a try , you won't be disjointed . enjoy my home city from Australia .

Shanghai is more suitable for those who do not understand Chinese. Beijing is the administrative center and there is not much to experience except for some attractions. Be prepared if you go to Guangzhou not too many people speak English here, every city in China has its own characteristics, it's up to you
