    Love Dougos little talk about remembering that we are all people and no one’s higher than the next. So much judgement nowadays. So many standards people try to set that aren’t responsible or achievable.

    Im a public works manager and I can say with certainty ....we always know. That being said s*#t does happen and good on you for fixing it Sir. I make mistakes everyday at my job, whether its impatience with taxpayers, frustration with equipment or just bad decisions. Cheers from Ontario.

    That disc did a great job on the road. They actually do that here in TX sometimes. Disc up the road, smooth it with a grader, then compress it with a roller.

    Good content Chet, your a good with explaining things. Brodie thrives to clean your machine's he is chomping at the bit I can tell. Dougo if you don't say something it festers in you, it is how you say it. Your a nice guy you will figure it out. Thank You by the way for cleaning up the roads you muddy. Wish more farmers in our area cared enough to do so. I realize your days and nights are full to the brim. But leaving all that mess on roads is an accident waiting to happen.       I'm from the old school, and I feel the same way as you do,if all farmers in the USA would share their thoughts and experiences the way Dougo does. Wow could you imagine,I'm not a farmer,worked on a dairy farm in my teens and loved and still do everything about it.

    I completely understand your dilemma about saying anything. On the other hand, there is no way the person that did that didn’t notice what they did because they had to raise it up at some point. Everyone makes mistakes!!!! But…..If I had done that I would have been on the phone before I had left the “scene of the debacle”. Hopefully whoever did it will fess up before you need to go talk to them . Good luck whatever happens!!🚜

    You need to get an 1.75 in water hose with a quarter turn end on it and your water trailer. That would put out a good stream of water with some pressure to wash the tracks out bed you move them.

    Dougo, the raised middle of the road is the crown. Good for cleaning up and fixing it.
    In the last shot with Chet, Brodys combine doesn't even look dirty.

    Back in the 70’s uncle had 986 with cab but no doors or windows and it was way before they had buddy seat and we where changing fields about 10miles away and little me got tired standing and I sat down on the remote hands and set that disc down on the asphalt rd and shooting sparks and boy did my uncle give me the worst look. Needles to say I stood up and didn’t think of sitting down.lol

    Hello Doug , it’s awesome to have farmers to keep the roads clean as possible . Here in Indiana we do the same thing we call our dirt clay . Love the talk Doug and Amy will know she watches the video’s . Yea it will have to be fix this winter don’t say that nothing going to break down yet. Chet & Brody & Eric having a lot of trouble in field good lord . Hope nobody gets stuck that is not good on machines.

    I once bumped the wrong lever while hauling sloppy manure, raised the gate about 2 inches and spread what was in the spreader for a couple hundred yards up the hill on the county road.. Everyone screws up but mine was a smelly mess!

    I’m a nurse in Washington state. My cousins farm in south eastern North Dakota. They needed help for corn harvest. I came for a week to help. Mud conditions not as bad. But we had 4 foot snow in end rows. And really slick in the afternoon. Great watching your videos

    Chet, you need a large concrete pad that slopes into a field or ditch, park the muddy machines on it, have a large water tanker apply high volume high pressure water to wash the mud out! I can't even with so much sticky mud on the machines...

    My grandfather told me a long time ago. Almost every area will get the average rainfall in a year. You just may not get it when you need it. I farmed in Sanilac county michigan. We were crazy dry and hot from breakup to late August. September we got 31 inches in 30 days. December 31st showed within one half inch of the yearly average. God bless you guys and stay safe!

    The good Corn looks fun to harvest, you don’t have to worry about taking in Rocks with the header on the Ground. I’m not 100% sure how they harvest the sweet Corn.
    Edit: I see there are sweet corn harvesters. I’ve never actually seen it done.

    Hard working good people.... I admire everything your family does. Here in NW Indiana the private developers, etc making millions drive their equipment and trucks on the paved roads with mud & rocks flying off the tires covering the roads, they don't care... Yet you are farmers providing food for our world and you are out there cleaning up a little mud on a gravel road..

    It's temporary unless it works. Red Green The road reminds me of my Uncle when he got a 6 bottom mounted plow. When he turned around at the end of the field that was at the town road, the plow would swing over the road. He dropped it a little too early once and plowed two furrows in the blacktop.

    Just a thought but have you guys ever seen a Road Boss Grader maybe something you want to consider if it had a custom hydraulic backplate installed. Fall for mud chunks collecting and the rest of year for yard and lane maintenance. 🤷‍♂️👍

    Dougo the dirt that tracks up onto the gravel roads is good binder for the gravel.

    There's nothing wrong with telling people that they screwed up that's just part of the learning process. This year I had a new employee on his very first day he drove the swather into the canal when I showed up he was worried that I was gonna start yelling at him but I just started laughing and told him that's how you learn not to do it

    I am sure people appreciate Dougo cleaning the road off, l guy could have full time business doing that around here this fall. I never pray for rain, favorable weather is my prayer so everyone is happy. Needless to say there’s always someone who wants it to wait one more day.

    A farmer in Wisconsin was hauling manure on a blacktop road and left it covered with manure and mud. A light rain and a young driver resulted in an accident that left her paralyzed and the farmer lost his farm in the lawsuit. Cleanup your messes farmers! Dugo is right on. Larson farms are good citizens.

    When your low on horsepower blow out or change air filter see of that helps we have air filters been full because of working in sap conditions. Some days every 4 hours '

      The combine will tell you the filter is dirty before you'd notice power loss.

    Dougo and Chet ,Great content guy always look forward to your posts. I was watching a video earlier today and it stated the names and size of the 8 biggest farm's inthe country,the one farm stuck out to me. The farmers name was Blain Larson and ownes 82 thousand and I think 500 acres in Idaho, would you guys happen to be related to him,if so that would be awesome.

    Did the early settlers in your area have to build and maintain the road. In Ontario they were required to do that where their property was located . Low taxes back then . Nice to see you carry on that tradition. Thanks
