That last A380 looked for sure to be running out of runway, but the telephoto lens might have been fooling us.
It’s because of the upslope on the runway coupled with the telephoto
My thought too, but it looks like there was a change in level between the edge at the end of the runway and the rest of it.
@@Cryous No it had to use it's reverse thrusters to stop. That's what all that debris is from, the backdraft from under the engine kicks up dust at high speed
probably just the angle, but it did look really trippy
@@kevinerbs2778Most if not all airliners use reverse thrust when landing.
Imagine your take off getting rejected on a 747, having to get off the plane, and then the airline trying to organize a replacement. That would be a logistical nightmare
if you're talking about passengers who had to be rebooked, that wasn't a problem as Silkway is a cargo airline
Emirates : You are fired
Ryanair : You are hired
both have top safety ratings
Ryanair has never suffered from a major incident like this since it was founded. It's a very safe airline. 3rd biggest in Europe, soon to be number 1.
That A380 sure is a big plane with huge wings. I can’t imagine how strong of a bond it must be to structurally keep those wings attached to the fuselage. Beautiful plane for sure.
And Airbus keeps all the fuselage during the whole flight!! 🤣🤣
@@JP-xd6fm what’s the big deal anyway, that Boeing door fell harmlessly into somebody’s back yard nobody was hit.😐😐
@@JP-xd6fm😹😹😹😹😝😝😜😜
I think the wings are the main structure and the fuselage is attached to the wings. They should be the strongest part.
@@Tom-ok2rh2x more boeing planes crash than airbus lol. Boeing just doesnt have good ethics
Wow, that engine failure, what an incredible event not to see!
I think those days are gone when people used to say "If it ain't Boeing I ain't going".
Makes British Air look like royalty
“Do be careful on the landing today. Runway’s a bit slick.”
…
“Dry now.”
car engine breaks: car blows up
boat engine breaks: boat blew up
jetliner engine breaks: it's OK guys, just the engine blew up
you wouldn't say that if it was mid-air :D
A 747 does fine when it's missing one engine. @@resadrecebli2263
@@resadrecebli2263Well, they usually have backup engines and the ability to lose all but one of them, so yeah, they’d probably say it in midair as well.
The crew in that latest Miami flight that was shedding #2 engine parts pretty much did say "it's ok, we'll just come back."
Fun story on the car engine. I lent my brother an old 4wd V8, one day while driving home, it lost cylinder 7 connecting rod, which took out the end of the cam, so it lost cylinder 8 as well. He still drove it home, albeit slower.
0:50 He's got what it takes to be a navy pilot!
I m surprised it s not broken
That Citation landing was so thrilling!🫣
citation became top gun
time lapsed.
@@Cl4rendon I realised that 🤔
That Teluride approach was scary af.
But perfectly executed!
If I were a passenger and noticed that the runway was so far to the left of us, I would shit my pants though. Add the sudden hard turn and I'd also pee myself. And when that is done, I am probably so nauseous I would throw up once firm on the ground. With my luck I'd also get a runny nose from all the crying I had been doing once seeing all those mountains. Only my ears would not leak something lol. Well, gotta put those orifices to work, why don't ya. I now know where this could be a likely scenario.
* Looks up flights to Colorado *
If you have an engine failure you are screwed 😅
Boeing having a lot of problems with there planes lately
Yeah even one of the altas Boeing 747 engine exploded just after takeoff weird 🤔
Their*
@@julieshandhini
Interesting... I didn't know Boeing made jet engines!
Well, the engine failures at least - are not really Boeings fault, they don’t make them - other companies do. 👍🏽
*their
-Boeing QA probably
I bet the ITA pilots were like ..’Oh merda’ 😅
That Telluride app was stunning
I'm not surprised that the failed engine on that Boeing 747 was a PW4000. These engines have ran into a catalogue of problems. The famous Boeing 777 engine that caught fire mid-flight was also a PW4000.
Yea, it is PW4056 Engine .
LPC blade was cause of damage. Engine is rejected.
Love the vids man
2:09 this is the most British accent I've ever heard
2:10 Back in the day they’d just use reverse thrust lol. Miss that. No pushback needed, just got tf out of there after boarding.
Great upload, loved this one...
A380 thrust reversers are fantastic on wet runways for making water sprays.
I'm glad the citation pilot slowed down just before landing. He was way too fast.
Great video brother from the imperial county California 👍👍🇺🇲
I like your pfc
@@alejandrovillalvazo1546 are you a fymf🤣🤣🤣
That a380 landing probably put a lot of people into physio or traction. Must be an ex USN carrier fighter pilot with that touchd- splatdown
Do the outer engines of the A380 not have thrustreversers or do they just not deploy all the time?
No they don't. Only the inner engines. That's because the outer engines hang out over the edges of the runway. Reverse thrusters would throw debris on the runway.
@@GosfordLawrence Ah, I see, thank you!
Swiss A380 need water wash😄
10/28 is the shortest runway at Zurich, but it's upslope.
Correct, especially for crosswind or waterspray landings this runway is pretty good for spotting
You can be sure it’s an issue when you see the fire trucks run up. That Colorado strip was cool. That one in Switzerland where is the water coming from? Runway?
Boeing blueprints have reached their expiration date
when was the first one taken? i saw a TWA 737
The link in description says December 4th 2023. Think the TWA plane is just a retro livery
I was looking for this comment 😂 But yeah I was like: TWA in 2023!?!?
@@SeblinesI think the same thing tho
YOU CANT PARK THERE MATE
01:08 the guy took FSX's mission very seriously.
best video👍
That voice, it's like grey paint.
0:00 Theres TWA 🤯,
Wait another engine fail in Miami?!
To the ITA airways, I’m sure the pilots said once they realised the mistake was: MAMA MIA‼️👀🤌🤌🤌😹😹
I would like to see the citation landing in a normal speed video.
Good videos!
Me too.
Boy, it's been a rough couple of weeks for Boeing. Two Miami 747 engine failures, a 737 door plug being blown out. Post pandemic DEI hires, most likely, causing the problems.
The planes where GE powered and had nothing to do with Boeing. However after the 737 door plug problem, the news media likes to over sensationalize to get more views lol
@@mileshigh1321 Boeing contracted the work out to GE and considering the two Miami incidents, it would behoove (and I do mean behoove) Boeing to put out a press release that because of the incidents Boeing is advising airlines to look at GE engines on 747's. Considering the Boeing stock price taking a freefall after the 737 incident, the stock price has nearly recovered it's January 12th value.
Boeing safety is quite concerning these days, but this is more of an engine problem
@@The_Dudester Maybe GE should put out a press release. PS The media covers Boeing issues a lot differently than with Airbus
Yeah cuz Boeing wouldn't want diversity in the workplace, all drugged out trailer trash is much better
Great footage!
Ryanair A380 Landing be like 😅
Did I miss the explosion?
NO ! It's called 'clickbait'. A sure sign of bad editing, or cutting the clip that shows it short.
The video title is spam! No explosion!
Former Malaysia Airlines 747-4H6. Ex 9M-MPS. The aircraft has a memories bringing home MH17 victim bodies back to Malaysia😢. I was there. Almost 10 years ago😢.
No "explosion".
The 1st A380 , that was not that hard of a landing , pitch was a little downward , but that was all
Is that the same silkway that caught fire after takeoff in Miami? There are videos of that too.
do A380's only have 2 out of 4 thrust reversers?
"An airport in Switzerland" is actually Zürich
already happy that switzerland and sweden has not been mixed ;)
Very nice Video 👍
There's been yet another storm in Britain - "Isha"- which I assume will mean more videos of crosswind/ crabwise airliner landings.
Is the A380 in the last clip the one with the Dubai Expo livery?
Boeing really on their way to become the DC10s of our time
Boeing doesn't make the engines.
Nothing to do with boening
@@kevinj2412that's good, otherwise it would be terrible
Boeing having worst year and it's still January
Proud of you for working on your pronunciation! Your hard work is paying off. Good for you man 👏👍
i was here to see this amazing video
I guess I missed when the engine "explodes". Is the click bait really necessary?
Lucky it didn't take off.
That last plane would have been aquaplaning
Wow that engine “explosion” was something else …
Wonder if that was the same engine manufacturer that engine feel apport in USA the other day
0:06
is that TWA HOWWWWW
OMG I SAW IT
Is that A380 landing at ZRH A6-EEU?
Did i see right? A380 only has 2 thrust reversers?
You saw right. A380s, have huge flaps and land relatively slower. They have 22 wheels, with 16 brakes, which with the plane's weight and downforce, provides lots of traction, and braking ability. Thrust reversers on the outboard engines would hang so close to the edges of the narrower runways that the engines would possibly damage themselves by blowing dirt and gravel forward and ingesting it.
Oh yea, so exciting the way you speed up the footage that begins at 1:08 to make a perfectly routine base to final turn look dramatic... This channel will now be added to my "Don't Recommend This Channel" list.
Has anyone else noticed that strange cloud that appears at 20 seconds into the video 😶🌫️
What do you think it is?
@@Vulcan650Vampire I’m not sure I’ve watched it a few times back seems to just appear right above the tail on the 747 very strange, small white cloud that seems to have 2 layers

@@b2baction996 Exhaust.
You spend too much time in weird corners of the internet. It’s nothing but steam and unburnt fuel. Much like the cloud that forms when you drain pasta. Strange clouds aren’t so strange when you think logically. Have you ever started a diesel engine on a cold morning? It’s the same principal, but people automatically think ChemTrails for some reason.
It’s a super weird trend. Seriously, Bigfoot is more plausible
@@Vulcan650Vampire you have know idea what I’m actually talking about and you spend way to much time writing weird replies on RUclips
wheres the 747 engine explosion?
Any Fan disk failure?
Bro what the fuck is going on with Boeing this 2024
That last video of the A380 landing.... is it just me or the runway looks too short?
i think because of the runway going uphill a little bit it gives the illusion, but it still does seem a little short
Telefoto lens.
the a380 one only had 2 I think of its engines on reverse thrust
A380s only need thrust reversers on the 2 inboard engines.
Boeing can't catch a break smh
The 'hard landing' was just 'firm'
Exploded?
Please give the definition of explosion?
Yea ?
Surely 747 s should have been completely removed from any sort of service by now
Click bait title. The engine literally puffed smoke and that was it..
On saturday 20th of jan 2024, a Biman Bangladesh 787's windshield cracked 2 hours intot he flight from dhaka to a city in saudi arab. i think it was at 35 or 36 thousand feet.
0:04 why is TWA there?????1?/!
I think it was an American airlines livery.
Anyone know what livery is on that last A380?
According to the video linked in the description it's also an Emirates. Looks like it's for the Dubai Expo
Yes that’s correct 👍
My mate used to work in Boeing in QC like 15 yr ago. They started cutting corners, I guess due to financial crisis, so my mate raised their moves with the internal ethics committee and refused to comply. He got a multi million dollar golden handshake and fired, he said iirc. He said to wait 10 yr before these fuckin things start fallin out the sky.
1. what explosion??? ,
2. looks liks a taxi way and not runway.
Salut Cher ami super 👍 🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦
“ Explode” is a bit dramatic no?
I never saw you as a creator who had to resort to click bait? What gives, Lucaas?
What are you talking about? Every video title is clickbait.
@@inncogneato6341 Headline has been changed. Though even now, the engine did not "explode." But it's close enough.
Why are Russian planes coming in to MIA?
Probably done 4 million miles its allowed to blow up
Designed in the 60's.
Can't blame Boeing for an engine problem.....
this year is NOT for boeing man
They suck. And lied and killed ppl
This year ? you meant the last decade :D ?
I saw twa airlines
seems like boing isnt capable of building proper airplanes
Boeing doesn't build engines
Why do I get the sense that Emirates pilots are ex-Navy carrier pilots?
Why does everyone try to sound like daily dose of internet? Later.
WHO SAW TWA?
I believe James May drove a Jaguar off the cliff at the end of that Telluride runway in an episode of The Grand Tour.
I'm not seeing an explosion
A380 hard landing blud is getting fired
01:08 If such terrain is already available on this planet, then I really do not fancy moving to or even visiting Mars.
Looks beautiful to me.
Not a good start for Boeing this year
I don't think someone knows what an explosion is. Just sayin'
