      White In Revery hey y’all! Love your work and have always admired the quality of your videos. I was wondering if these LUTs have also been tested with the Nikon Z6 or Z7? We would like to invest and support your business, but have to know the aforementioned first.

    You truly have a great eye for color. My wedding film style definitely has been partially influenced by you all. Quick question- in these comparisons, are the befores fully basic corrected before making the creative change with the luts? Thanks!

      some are not touched at all and straight out of camera, others have exposure and white balance adjusted before adding the lut.

    Just switched over to the bmpcc4k. How would you go about using these luts with the braw log footage?

      We haven't tested it yet on braw, but we have tested it on flatter profiles. We are updating the blog post on Gamut.io with our recommended color profiles later this week and will add our settings for the BMPCC to that list. great question.

    I would like to buy this to enhance my cooking videos. I own Canon 90D and. Canon 5D Mark IV. Is there any adjustments that I need to make to my camera for this?

    • @Whiteinrevery
      @Whiteinrevery  4 года назад

      Just shoot in a Neutral based color profile on the camera and it should turn out pretty great! You might need to add or pull back saturation and/contrast to taste but that's about it.

      We prefer to use the Cine 4 gamma with Cinema for Color Mode. Great dynamic range for a non-log profile with good skin tones.

    • @Whiteinrevery
      @Whiteinrevery  3 года назад +1

      We are adding Sony Conversion LUTs for S-Log2 and S-Log3 to the website next week. That will allow you to convert your footage to a proper rec709 image and then add these LUTs on top to taste. It is always best to separate conversion LUTs from Creative LUTs so that you can dial the look to taste. If these LUTs had the conversion built into them, you would have to have the effect at 100% and could never dial it to taste. So check back on the site next week for the LUTs. Also you can join our Gamut - Community facebook group where we are showcasing the conversion LUTs in action.

      use this code: YT20ADAGIO. We forgot to take down the sale that was only available for the launch week. Since we accidentally left it in our description, we will honor the discount as it was misleading by not updating that info. The total would bee $75 then :) Code good for the next week.

      I might have to agree with this one. There's not much of a change after the luts applied. Boosted shadows and maybe bluish greens? They look nice but not for $75

    • @Whiteinrevery
      @Whiteinrevery  4 года назад +2

      @@2000productions Hi Long, I appreciate everyone's honest feedback. I do. It may not look like a lot has changed when in fact these were the hardest Luts I've ever had to develop and has taken 3 times as long as my other packs. I know you might not know what's under the hood, which is why I know that when someone suggests just bumping up the shadows that the look is pretty much there, that I know in fact that's further from the truth. If you want, send me an email with a video frame of a well-balanced outdoor shot with skin tones and greens in them and you can grade it and I can grade it with this pack. Try getting these colors the same way. The tough thing I found out when I wanted to create this pack is that I wanted a bolder more vibrant palette which means more saturation in certain colors. When you do that, it introduces so many other issues with other colors getting pushed in wrong directions. For instance, our Timbre collection has earthy dark greens with desaturated highlights in the green tones. (two main green shades) With this pack, I have about 6 different shades of greens I'm pushing and pulling to complement each other without losing that color range. That takes multiple tweaks and adjustments that I then cross test with other cameras in tons of varying lighting conditions to get the best consistent results. And that is just one avenue of the pack I had to work out and figure out how to properly adjust. Sorry for the long post, just wanted to give a little more info into the pack and why it actually has way more going on with it than people recognize. Thanks for your feedback.

    • @Whiteinrevery
      @Whiteinrevery  4 года назад

      @@DougDavis Like I mentioned to Long below, there is much more going on in this pack than some basic adjustments can accomplish. I love it when a grade just looks good but you can't quite tell what made it great. I could have shown a subtly unbalanced before shot to showcase how much the lut actually adjusts the image for more impact but I really hate it when I see those false filter examples.I appreciate your feedback. I always wanted this type of look as lately we are shooting alongside more fine art film photographers. I rarely find anyone that can create a similar look which is why I ended up making this pack. I wish it was as easy as boosting shadows and adjusting the greens to be bluer. If it were that easy, then I would have found more packs like this available or people using this look in their footage as it is becoming more valued in weddings and higher-end clientele and luxury planners. Thanks for creating dialogue and leaving your comment. I read all of them.
