I play Aphelios, and I almost never build it because its such an expensive item while the passive is almost sad to have. I'd rather build Shieldbow to compensate for Crit or BT for AD instead, much more useful passives. They need to make it 3000 or at least 3100 for me to start considering it. I tried it on Sivir and Zeri and they're both a fat no, so I mean I don't know what they were thinking how game changing that item would be when they added it, but I laugh at people who calls it a second IE... no bro it's not
If they want it to burn over time, at least makes it more similar to Blackfire's amplifying dmg based on opponents affected or Liandry's HP% dmg, that way it will have more appeal
After the nerf of 15% on almost all item patch14.19 it might be a good item to rush for more champions with 70 flat bleed on hit and still at tone of damage.
What if abilities had a chance equal to your crit chance to apply the bleed (reduced damage on dot), that way you aren't limited to auto attack champion, maybe even allow it to stack infinitely but with reduced damage for every stack past the first if it was still to weak, so 5 stacks would deal 250% of the damage of 1 stack. Or bleed on all abilities, and the bleed damage scales with crit chance.
Im gonna be honest, the video is of good quality, but I disagree. You should try it on practice tool, yun tal always does more dmg even with just an auto as long as it crits. So yun tal 3rd item is actually the most amount of dmg on 3 items. Fun fact, severum Q applies yun tal, so a fully applied severum ends up doing almost double dmg with yun tal, check practice tool
Build to try is, IE--LDR--yun tal vs collector. That has 75% crit, if it crits, yun tal always does more dmg from a single auto, collector does more dmg if it doesn crit. Most abilities apply an auto, so if you do infernum/calibrum and the auto that comes with it, yun tal does always more dmg if the auto crits
