Truly I believe they thrive in chaos! Late hubbie used to concoct dramas at work, upset the apple cart of hos own doing, then " solve" the drama and stormed about like a stroppy teen, when his bosses didn't praise him! They saw right through him, but he never could see that. Yup was only truly happy in chaos cause then everybody else was as miserable, stressed and as unhappy as him!

100% saw this too! When son was really ill in hospital and getting attention, he coughed " ya know I think I've a cold coming on and nobody's bothering " I didn't know where to look! He wanted to cancel a meeting with a pal... couldn't as I was " blue lighted away to hospital" ( I was actually having coffee with his pal's wife so you can imagine how that went down) Then as you say they want attention no matter how busy you are..fabricate an emergency and actually tell you they fabricated it as though it were a flaming badge of honour! Jeezo eh!

After a week from breakup, my ex texted me, telling me she was in a car accident where "no one got hurt, but she lost control of the car, and doesn't know what to do." I told her "I'm glad you're OK and no one is hurt. Call your insurance company, and call a tow truck if the car isn't drivable, and call a family member if you need help." As it would turn out, she was 10 minutes away from my house (lives an hour away), then texted me again saying "just call me please," followed by a "just give me another chance." I started to wonder if she produced a lie just to get me to come "save her".

Another annoying tactic they use is always starting in the middle of a "story". Using names of people you've never heard of. Telling the end of a story without a beginning. When you ask for clarity, you get treated like an idiot who can't comprehend the simplest things. They do this deliberately for exactly that purpose: constantly setting up their victims for further abuse, gaslighting, and crazy-making.

I blocked my narcissist father for a while, then thought it was my mom so I started talking to him again briefly. He texted with this weird air of self-pity and I picked up right away he was parentifying me because he was always showing off what he was doing, going on vacations, visiting relatives, doing things with the kids, etc, and when I told him about my life, he literally said “lol, I have no response.”
Really, dad? No response for your oldest son telling you about his affairs in life?

Texting has become the best friend of narcs. I am a single adult woman who refuses to monitor your phone, your texts, or email, etc. Too many liars, cheaters, scammers. Your text will mostly be criticized as too long, too short, ignored, receive no response, misconstrued, used by cowards to cancel meetings at the last second, or straight out lie bcs you cant see their face or hear their voice. I pay no attention to emojis unless you are under 12 yrs old. Texting encourages inability to use proper grammar, spelling, punctuation or i telligent conversational skills.

I can't believe I have been experiencing this type of behavior from men who claim to like me or care about me a lot. It got to the point that when I looked at my cellphone, I would suddenly become very anxious, and now I know why. I had deep abandonment wounds from my son's father who brutal discarded me like a piece of trash and would ghost me for weeks and months at a time with no explanation. Recently I went very low contact until I can safely go no contact with a guy that exhibits covert narcissistic behavior. He was supposed to take me out on a date when I noticed it was running late I called, and my call was sent to voicemail again and again for hours. After staying awake all night and calling every hour because I thought something happened to him he answered and accused me of standing him up. That's why these days I just want to be alone after all that I have been through. Thank you sooooo much for discussing this! 🙏

Can i add another weird texting behaviour?
A former 'friend' used to text me or leave comments on my social media posts saying something like "you know that what I say is always sincere and well-meaning." She honestly believed that she was sincere, but sadly for her, I didn't believe her. In fact, the truth was quite the opposite. She is an uncaring, insensitive person wanting control of me. She didn't get it.

My former Husband who I help look after, texts using a public call box, so the person he's targeting can't call him, or text him back. He's an expert wordsmith, and he loves to send his poisonous letters, cards, emails and texts. Meanwhile he never tells people his address, he has no landline, mobile or Computer with an internet connection. He uses internet Cafe's. He loves to be elusive, strike someone with words, then he's gone, and they can't reply. He loves the power and control this gives him. Also, it gives him time while his victim cools down. He's such a coward.

The narc would act as if they are bored and say they aren’t in mood for a conversation. I am sure the narc sends a text just to get a reaction. The narc will also ignore you once you respond so they can make you feel on the edge. It’s draining and frustrating.

thank you for the video. very good observed, especially the emoji issue. they are not able to express emotions in words, because of, as i their lack of empathy. instead they are using emojis a lot - mostly in a way that doesn't fit correctly to the context. the emojis are most of the time a bit too much or not making really the point. and yes, even the "devil" emoji was used in a way of trying to be "funny" but actually it showes who she really was. emojis are a perfect example of their lack of emotional connection, understanding and punishment. it is just horrible.

It’s all cool with me, I’ve written that before. It’s better than “my” yes “my” what do you call your husband/wife, girlfriend/boyfriend “ the husband/ wife”? Well we are all not objects?. Plus, some texts have word limits. So, instead of saying “my ex husband, fully divorced, fuck head, evil parasite due to predominantly narcissism mixed with goof…”. It’s easier, and everyone gets it who is reading to just state “my narc ex, dad, boss, corporation….” Lighten up, and quite looking for something that isn’t really there. Have a good afternoon.☀️🌈
